The coverage is pretty good. With this and a touch of concealer, it seems to hide almost everything. It's a bit on the matte side, so it can make your face feel slightly tight. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 11, 2020
First off, I was drawn to this product because of its appealing packaging and really wanted to give it a try. I have sensitive combination skin that gets quite sweaty when it's hot. Application: Excellent Adherence: Excellent - It seems like all the recent drugstore products have great application and adherence. Coverage: Above average - You can immediately feel the coverage as soon as you apply it! Lately, I've had a lot of blemish marks, so concealer has been a must, but with this, I can skip it. Longevity: Average Overall, it's a decent foundation with good coverage. They also offer a mini size, which is great for carrying around. After a little while, it tends to dry out, giving a slightly cakey appearance. - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 7, 2020
The adherence is great and the coverage is quite good. It finishes with a matte feel, which is perfect for long hours of mask-wearing these days! I love how it barely transfers to the mask and stays put on the skin. The color is neutral, so it looks natural. Usually, shade 21 is a bit light for me, but with this product, although it might seem bright at first, once it settles, it matches my natural complexion beautifully. I'm very satisfied! • Skin's oil and moisture balance - Those with dry skin should definitely focus on thorough moisturizing before applying this. I have slightly dry skin, and because this product has a matte finish, I felt quite dry after application. • Complexion - The Neutral 21 shade has a slightly more yellow undertone compared to typical 21 shades. It might look more natural on those with slightly yellow undertones, but it could appear a bit unnatural on very fair skin. • Try mixing with a moisturizer! - The product itself does have a matte, adherent finish, which can be drying. While proper skincare is important, mixing the product with a bit of moisturizer or oil can make it work well even in dry autumn and winter months. • Avoid damp sponges! - Many people use damp sponges to add moisture when applying foundation, right? I often do too, but this product adheres to the skin quickly and doesn't transfer well to a damp sponge, making it difficult to blend. It's important to use a dry sponge or gently pat it in with the warmth of your hands for this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 7, 2020
Review from The Hwahae Testers I have dry skin and use shade 21, so I tried the Neutral 21. When I first received it, I was surprised by how yellow it looked, but the color you see when pumping is different from how it appears on the face. On the back of the hand - Looks like a yellow-based shade 22 On the face - A natural 21.5 (yellow base isn't very noticeable) I applied it using a sponge and cushion puff. 1. Adherence When applied thinly, it looks natural with decent coverage and good adherence 👍 However, it needs to be applied in a thin layer. If applied too thickly, it feels heavy and transfers onto masks easily. 2. Longevity + Breakdown When applied in the morning, it seems to last until the afternoon. At first, I thought it might settle into pores when breaking down, but after using it for a while, it wasn't noticeably problematic. *** Conclusion If the amount dispensed was easier to control and it was less drying, I would consider repurchasing. 1. Amount Control When using one full pump, the foundation applies too thickly! It would be better if the amount dispensed per pump could be adjusted. 2. Dryness As mentioned above, I have dry skin and use shade 21. It's fine when applied over a hydrating base, but when used alone, it's quite... very drying. Personally, I think it might be too dry for fall-winter use, but could work well in summer. I used a cushion puff to pat it on as thinly as possible. Also, using it over a hydrating base can help reduce the drying effect. - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 2, 2020
The packaging is beautiful and the coverage is excellent. It doesn't transfer much onto masks either. It's quite drying for those with dry skin. I prefer a natural skin look, so I'm not fond of overly bright foundations, but this one is a bit on the darker side. If you prep your skin with a hydrating base before applying, it feels less drying. This foundation would be suitable for those with oily skin looking for good coverage. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 25, 2020
I applied it first with a brush, then smoothed out any streaks with a damp sponge, and it spread on surprisingly thinly! It feels light and powdery, covering blemishes well. You can tell I'm wearing makeup, but it doesn't feel heavy at all. I'm not a fan of dewy skin looks, so I always finish with powder, but this has a semi-matte finish. Even without powder, my skin already feels velvety smooth - one less step in my routine! The 10ml size is perfect too... I'm a foundation nomad, so I never buy large sizes. This compact size is just right for me! The product itself has a slightly yellow tint... My skin is already yellowish, so I specifically ordered the cool tone, but received the neutral one. I was a bit surprised but thought 'how different could it be?' and tried it anyway. But for someone with yellow undertones like me, it makes you look even more sallow. If you have even slightly warm-toned skin, make sure to get the cool shade! Also, it's absolutely not recommended for dry skin types. It's too drying for those with dry skin~ The best skin finish was achieved by applying once with a foundation brush and then blending with a damp sponge!
