The coverage was pretty good, I'd say. And since it's a matte foundation, the staying power was decent too. It might not have agreed with my skin type, as I experienced some itching. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 4, 2020
The Hwahae Testers review here! I was lucky enough to be selected as a Hwahae Tester and used this product for two weeks. Here's my honest review: ♥ Adherence The adherence is top-notch, it's really amazing! I use a foundation brush, and from the first application, it feels delightfully smooth and elastic. ♥ Longevity It applies with a velvety texture and finishes as a semi-matte, which contributes to its excellent staying power. ♥ Coverage and Wear The coverage is good, and it creates a beautiful skin finish. Most importantly, it wears beautifully throughout the day. I consider graceful wear crucial, and with this, I barely need to touch up once or twice! ♥ Color I have a deep undertone and usually use shade 21. The Neutral 21 matched me perfectly. ✨ On the first day I wore this, I kept my other makeup the same and only changed the foundation. A colleague at work said, 'You look prettier than usual today! Did your makeup turn out especially well?' I was so pleased and told her I had only changed my foundation! ♥ Depending on your skin type, it might feel a bit dry. If you have dry skin, I recommend layering your skincare thoroughly! ♥ While the adherence is excellent, it does transfer a bit to masks. However, to be honest, I haven't used any product that doesn't transfer at all. So I'm still very satisfied with this! I have some blemishes and acne scars. Instead of trying to cover them completely with a thick layer, I recommend applying a thin, even layer - like you're coating your skin! Given its good longevity and beautiful wear, if you take care to apply a thin, even layer without getting greedy, you'll achieve a truly beautiful complexion! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 25, 2020
I applied it first with a brush, then smoothed out any streaks with a damp sponge, and it spread on surprisingly thinly! It feels light and powdery, covering blemishes well. You can tell I'm wearing makeup, but it doesn't feel heavy at all. I'm not a fan of dewy skin looks, so I always finish with powder, but this has a semi-matte finish. Even without powder, my skin already feels velvety smooth - one less step in my routine! The 10ml size is perfect too... I'm a foundation nomad, so I never buy large sizes. This compact size is just right for me! The product itself has a slightly yellow tint... My skin is already yellowish, so I specifically ordered the cool tone, but received the neutral one. I was a bit surprised but thought 'how different could it be?' and tried it anyway. But for someone with yellow undertones like me, it makes you look even more sallow. If you have even slightly warm-toned skin, make sure to get the cool shade! Also, it's absolutely not recommended for dry skin types. It's too drying for those with dry skin~ The best skin finish was achieved by applying once with a foundation brush and then blending with a damp sponge! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 7, 2020
The longevity, adherence, coverage, resistance to breakdown, and application are all satisfying. It covers pores well too. I usually avoided high-coverage products as they felt heavy and made my skin look worse, but Studio Fade covers without that heavy feeling. Its semi-matte formula is great for summer, with minimal dryness and patchiness. Best of all, I love that it comes in a 10ml size. I've never finished a base product before, so this was always disappointing, but I'm using this one with great satisfaction. If I had to pick something, those with lighter skin tones (lighter than shade 21) or those wanting to brighten their complexion might find it a bit dark. I usually use shade 21, and this matched my skin's natural tone perfectly. As I prefer a natural look over a brightening effect, I was quite satisfied. Using it with a Fili Mili brush really helps conceal those pores. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 12, 2020
I've used YSL All Hours Foundation before, but I found this even better. It controls oil well in the T-zone, and it adheres so well that it barely transfers to my mask all day. Despite its matte finish, it doesn't feel overly drying on my skin. Even though I used shade 21, it didn't give me that bright, radiant look I was hoping for. On the plus side, there was minimal oxidation, so my complexion didn't look dull by evening. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 28, 2020
The high coverage is fantastic. Despite its strong coverage, this foundation doesn't feel thick - it applies thinly and adheres well to the skin. The semi-matte finish is perfect for my oily skin. I didn't notice any darkening either. I received this as a gift, but as someone who prefers pink undertones, it's a bit too yellow for me. This makes it appear somewhat dark. While it's not an issue for me, those with dry skin might find it a bit drying. For a beautiful skin finish, try applying it with a mist-sprayed puff or a damp sponge. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 21, 2020
First off, I absolutely loved the small size of this foundation! It feels moisturizing when applied, but dries to a semi-matte finish that's not sticky at all - which is fantastic. Those with dry skin might find it a bit too matte, but I personally enjoy the semi-matte finish. Just something to keep in mind!
