The coverage was pretty good, I'd say. And since it's a matte foundation, the staying power was decent too. It might not have agreed with my skin type, as I experienced some itching. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 11, 2020
First off, I was drawn to this product because of its appealing packaging and really wanted to give it a try. I have sensitive combination skin that gets quite sweaty when it's hot. Application: Excellent Adherence: Excellent - It seems like all the recent drugstore products have great application and adherence. Coverage: Above average - You can immediately feel the coverage as soon as you apply it! Lately, I've had a lot of blemish marks, so concealer has been a must, but with this, I can skip it. Longevity: Average Overall, it's a decent foundation with good coverage. They also offer a mini size, which is great for carrying around. After a little while, it tends to dry out, giving a slightly cakey appearance. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinOct 14, 2020
It gives your skin that 'I just slathered on my skincare' look. I was surprised by how well this moisturizing foundation covers, even better than the Yves Saint Laurent cream foundation I used before. The staying power and adherence to the skin are also quite good. When worn for a long time, it gets quite oily. While darkening isn't severe, it does get quite shiny after extended wear. Despite how it looks on the surface, it doesn't feel particularly hydrating deep down in the skin. Those looking for a yellow-based shade 21 might simply choose this color, but it's quite different from the typical shade 21 on the market. It's closer to shade 22. If you don't like a muted tone, you might prefer the cool 21. I often mix it with a lighter shade of Double Wear for the right match. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 12, 2020
Longevity: It lasts well and even when it fades, it does so gracefully without looking messy. Texture: The consistency is just right - not too runny. When applied, it has a semi-matte finish that doesn't feel too dry on the skin, which I love! Packaging: The case design is elegantly beautiful. Quantity: I often switch between foundations and end up wasting product, but the smaller size means I can use it all before it expires - no more wastage! Adherence: The staying power is impressive. It barely transfers, even when wearing a mask. Coverage: The one aspect that could be improved is the coverage. While it does provide some coverage, I needed to use concealer to fully hide my blemishes. If you're looking for perfect coverage, consider using a concealer for an extra layer of camouflage! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 8, 2020
Although I haven't used it extensively yet, this product performs decently in terms of coverage, longevity, and overall skin appearance. It seems to offer good value for the price! I was a bit disappointed that it still transfers quite a bit onto my mask, indicating that it doesn't fully adhere to the skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 7, 2020
The Hwahae Testers' experience review: Adhesion: Until recently, I was using cushion foundations, which left significant marks on my mask. This foundation adheres well to the skin, resulting in minimal transfer to masks - a feature I really appreciate! Note that individual results may vary depending on the application method. Longevity: Personally, I prefer semi-matte foundations. This product initially feels moisturizing but sets to a lovely semi-matte finish, which I find fantastic! Color: The shade 21 Neutral has a strong yellow undertone and isn't particularly bright. I was hoping for a slightly more radiant color. If you prefer a brighter complexion like me, you might want to consider purchasing a lighter shade. Pump dispensing: The amount dispensed with one pump was more than expected, which was a bit disappointing. Improving this aspect could make the product more convenient to use. My application method: First, I apply the foundation with a Fillimilli brush to cover pores, then I pat it in with a Happy Rim sponge. This technique seems to provide better adhesion compared to using just a brush or sponge alone. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 6, 2020
The absorbs well and provides good coverage. The staying power wasn't bad either, and it didn't break down noticeably. Above all, I really liked how it evens skin tone! While the product is good and I like everything about it, I'm not sure why I should specifically choose this one. It's a bit disappointing that there's no standout feature that really grabs my attention. If you mix in a few drops of essence and apply it with a sponge, you can achieve a thin yet well-covered skin look! - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 4, 2020
The Hwahae Testers Review - The writer has oily + combination skin (nose and sides of nose) in summer and dry skin in winter. Positives (Note - The writer mixes it with face oil when using alone as makeup tends to separate) 1. Longevity On my forehead, where oil production is relatively low, the longevity was good. When I came home in the evening after applying makeup in the morning, the forehead area remained intact. It felt somewhat similar to Est*e Lauder. (Long-lasting only on areas with less oil production) 2. Coverage When applied, it really makes the skin look great! The coverage is impressive. It covers all redness completely! Drawbacks 1. Difficult to use alone + Emphasizes wrinkles As someone with dry skin, it was fine when I mixed it with face oil. Even though I don't have many wrinkles, it emphasized lines around the eyes. Even after applying makeup with The Saem foundation and touching up with another cushion foundation, the emphasized wrinkles didn't disappear. 2. Difficulty in applying thinly I tried using a brush + damp puff combination, While this method usually works well with most foundations, it didn't apply smoothly with this product. Perhaps it's due to my lack of skill.. 3. N21 - The Neutral 21 shade seems a bit dark. I use Est*e Lauder foundation in Cool Vanilla and La*ge Neo Matte Cushion in 21N, but this product seemed a bit darker than those. While Neutral 21 usually matches well, it was disappointing that it was slightly dark. 4. Oxidation There was some oxidation... It looks really beautiful when first applied, but as time passes, the face becomes dull. 5. Transfers heavily onto masks Tips 1. Utilize face oil For those with dry skin, build a solid skincare base before use, or mix the foundation with face oil. 2. Touch-ups Using Di*r Forever Skin Correct for touch-ups works well. However, this tip product is more expensive than The Saem foundation... I tried it because I already owned it. 3. Try hard to apply thinly! This seems to be a cosmetic that requires effort. Try to apply a small amount thinly. Mixing it with an unused brightening moisturizer might also be a good method. 4. For those who find the shade a bit dark, I recommend using a brightening sunscreen or applying a whitening cream before use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 4, 2020
The Hwahae Testers review here! I was lucky enough to be selected as a Hwahae Tester and used this product for two weeks. Here's my honest review: ♥ Adherence The adherence is top-notch, it's really amazing! I use a foundation brush, and from the first application, it feels delightfully smooth and elastic. ♥ Longevity It applies with a velvety texture and finishes as a semi-matte, which contributes to its excellent staying power. ♥ Coverage and Wear The coverage is good, and it creates a beautiful skin finish. Most importantly, it wears beautifully throughout the day. I consider graceful wear crucial, and with this, I barely need to touch up once or twice! ♥ Color I have a deep undertone and usually use shade 21. The Neutral 21 matched me perfectly. ✨ On the first day I wore this, I kept my other makeup the same and only changed the foundation. A colleague at work said, 'You look prettier than usual today! Did your makeup turn out especially well?' I was so pleased and told her I had only changed my foundation! ♥ Depending on your skin type, it might feel a bit dry. If you have dry skin, I recommend layering your skincare thoroughly! ♥ While the adherence is excellent, it does transfer a bit to masks. However, to be honest, I haven't used any product that doesn't transfer at all. So I'm still very satisfied with this! I have some blemishes and acne scars. Instead of trying to cover them completely with a thick layer, I recommend applying a thin, even layer - like you're coating your skin! Given its good longevity and beautiful wear, if you take care to apply a thin, even layer without getting greedy, you'll achieve a truly beautiful complexion! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinSep 26, 2020
* This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! I won the tester opportunity and received the product on Tuesday. I've been using it until today, and it's so good that I rushed here to write a review. I'm planning to purchase a full-size product... (This is for real) 🥰 Application I applied a small amount of foundation on my face and patted it with a puff. It spreads incredibly thinly with just a little product and applies very smoothly. 🥰 Longevity Considering I was wearing a mask, the staying power was quite good. Even with my very oily skin, it lasted surprisingly long. 🥰 Coverage Wow... It covers so well even with a small amount! Actually, my skin has been breaking out lately, and it was hard to cover with my usual foundation, but this one covers really well. And if you apply a thin second layer, it's even better - the coverage is truly excellent. 🥰 Color Some reviews mention the color being too yellow, but it was perfect for me. When I applied it to my face, it just provided the right amount of coverage. Also, I liked that it didn't look too made-up. 🥰 Blemishes My skin has been extremely sensitive lately, and I always got blemishes after going out with makeup on. But with this product, I didn't get any at all! 😕 Transfer On the day I used this foundation, I was wearing a mask for a very long time, and it did transfer quite a bit onto the mask. I applied the foundation to my face and patted it with a damp Daiso puff. The makeup really adheres well to the skin!
