Although I haven't used it extensively yet, this product performs decently in terms of coverage, longevity, and overall skin appearance. It seems to offer good value for the price! I was a bit disappointed that it still transfers quite a bit onto my mask, indicating that it doesn't fully adhere to the skin. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinOct 8, 2020
1. Good coverage - it effectively covers blemishes, acne scars, and light spots. 2. Smooth application - it glides on softly and feels moisturizing whether applied with a puff or fingers, leaving a smooth and hydrated sensation. 3. Great value for money (30ml for 18000 won) - if you're looking for a foundation with decent coverage and hydration, this is worth trying. Transfers easily - due to COVID-19, we're wearing masks most of the time, and even when applied with a puff for better adherence, it still transfers. For combination dehydrated skin, especially in the T-zone, it tends to separate and doesn't adhere well. It seems to break down faster than expected when wearing a mask. For warm undertones in the 19-21 shade range, it appears quite yellow and slightly darker compared to other foundations. As it's a bit dark for my 19-21 shade range skin, those with lighter complexions might find it useful as a concealer. The coverage is decent, and it's best applied in small amounts and blended out well. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinOct 7, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers I'm someone who prefers foundation over cushion compacts. I do my base makeup using concealer and foundation with a puff or brush. Please note that I have dry skin that seems to absorb a lot of product, no matter how thick I apply my makeup. 1. Adherence It feels like it instantly clings to the face, you don't need to pat it in multiple times to feel it adhere to your skin. 2. Coverage I have acne scars on my face, and usually when foundation doesn't cover well, I use a brush to apply it, which tends to work better. With this product, while it doesn't noticeably provide high coverage, it does a good job covering redness and small blemishes. 3. Skin Appearance Honestly, the coverage isn't particularly high. However, it creates a natural skin look, and as you'll see in other reviews, unless you need very heavy coverage, it can make your skin look quite good. You might feel that pleasant 'my makeup looks great today' sensation right after applying it. 4. Volume As I mentioned earlier, I'm used to sticking with foundation, even carrying it in a small container when I go out. But this product comes in a 10ml size, which is great for portability, and I'm very satisfied that I don't have to worry about decanting it. In conclusion, the biggest merit of this product is its size. It's really great for going out and fits easily into small bags. It's perfect for those just starting with foundation or who use it sparingly! Especially nowadays when we're wearing masks, you might prefer lighter makeup over heavy coverage. The foundation itself adheres well when applied, so it feels light! It doesn't feel stuffy at all. You know how some people like to put on makeup even for quick outings? It's super convenient as you only need to pat it on a little. Even better, unlike some foundations that won't come off even after cleansing 2-3 times, this one removes easily. It's so convenient when cleansing! However, these are all personal opinions. Given the small size, I think it's not a bad idea to buy and try it out. A large amount can be burdensome if it doesn't suit you... For those with dry skin, you need to apply a solid base makeup before using this. It has a somewhat matte finish, so it can be drying! It's best to apply after exfoliating. Some say it breaks down strangely over time, but with this product, even when it does break down, it's not too bad. However! There is some caking to be aware of. Adherence? Not bad. But the problem is that it transfers a bit. While it can't be completely transfer-proof, you should expect some transfer even after using a setting spray. - Hwahae UserOily SkinOct 7, 2020
The Hwahae Testers Review: Color: While many cushion foundations only come in shades 21 and 23, limiting options for those with different skin tones, this foundation matched my complexion perfectly! My previous product had a pink base that didn't suit me, but this one looks so natural - just like my own skin. (It seemed a bit dark when I swatched it on my hand, but it blended seamlessly on my face!) Coverage: I really enjoyed applying this foundation! It beautifully covered the blemishes I've been getting lately due to wearing masks. The coverage is just lovely. Adherence: It adheres thinly and well to the skin. I used to feel suffocated after long days out, from morning till late night at academy, often leading to blemishes. But this foundation applies thinly and beautifully. As time passes, it develops a natural glow, and even when it starts to fade, it does so gracefully. Mask Transfer: One of the key criteria for choosing makeup these days, right? Unfortunately, this foundation does transfer onto masks quite a bit. It might feel more noticeable to me since I'm used to matte formulas. Oily Skin: Those with oily skin might want to think twice. While it fades beautifully over time, it's not a matte formula, so it can get quite dewy. This might feel a bit uncomfortable if you're not used to it. I would repurchase this a hundred times over! I've always been disappointed with foundations and stuck to cushions, but this one is the real deal! It's truly amazing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 7, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. 1. Application and Coverage ★★★ While I haven't tried many foundations, this one seems 'generally good.' The texture is a bit thick, but it applies without clumping and doesn't feel heavy despite its coverage. No complaints about how it goes on! It effectively covers redness and blemishes, and pore coverage isn't bad, though it could be better for uneven texture. 2. Wear ★★★★★ 'I was really impressed with how it wore.' It blended nicely with my skin's natural oils without looking messy. In fact, I liked it even more after it had been on for a while than when first applied. There was minimal flaking, and no settling into fine lines or emphasizing wrinkles! 3. Longevity ★★★★★ I wore this all day without any touch-ups. Except for where it rubbed off inside my mask, 'it maintained good coverage' of redness and small blemishes even after hours of wear. If not for the current situation, I could see myself using this very often. 4. Color It's neither too yellow nor too red, so 'it should suit most skin tones as long as the shade is right.' For a 21 shade, 'it seems to run a bit dark.' It was similar in color to my 23 cushion (though that cushion does run light). Still, it was a perfect match for me, as I usually use a darker 21 or lighter 23. Those with fairer skin might want to keep this in mind when purchasing! 5. Sensitive Skin I have eczema around my eyes and above my upper lip, but this product didn't irritate my skin. While other products sometimes make my itching worse or cause redness in affected areas, 'The Saem Studio Foundation was fine!' Just take this as a reference point. 1. Adherence ★★ While others praised its adherence, maybe because my skin is dry, 'it seemed to separate on my cheeks right after application.' It actually improved as time went on and my natural oils came through. I don't think I could use this in winter. 'I wouldn't recommend it for very dry skin.' 2. Transfer ★ It transferred quickly even after wearing a mask for just a short time. Fortunately, it wasn't very noticeable on my face where it rubbed off, but 'it did transfer quite a bit.' I wouldn't recommend this to those who dislike makeup transferring onto their mask. I'm a bit hesitant to use it when I need to wear a mask for long periods. (It transferred more than what's visible in the attached photo.) I found it worked best when I first applied it with a brush and then patted it in with a puff. If you have oily skin, using a dry puff to pat it in might help reduce transfer and improve adherence! As I have dry skin, I use a damp puff and just accept the transfer... I'll emphasize again that the color runs a bit dark for a 21 shade. Make sure to test it at a nearby store before purchasing! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 4, 2020
The Hwahae Testers review here! I was lucky enough to be selected as a Hwahae Tester and used this product for two weeks. Here's my honest review: ♥ Adherence The adherence is top-notch, it's really amazing! I use a foundation brush, and from the first application, it feels delightfully smooth and elastic. ♥ Longevity It applies with a velvety texture and finishes as a semi-matte, which contributes to its excellent staying power. ♥ Coverage and Wear The coverage is good, and it creates a beautiful skin finish. Most importantly, it wears beautifully throughout the day. I consider graceful wear crucial, and with this, I barely need to touch up once or twice! ♥ Color I have a deep undertone and usually use shade 21. The Neutral 21 matched me perfectly. ✨ On the first day I wore this, I kept my other makeup the same and only changed the foundation. A colleague at work said, 'You look prettier than usual today! Did your makeup turn out especially well?' I was so pleased and told her I had only changed my foundation! ♥ Depending on your skin type, it might feel a bit dry. If you have dry skin, I recommend layering your skincare thoroughly! ♥ While the adherence is excellent, it does transfer a bit to masks. However, to be honest, I haven't used any product that doesn't transfer at all. So I'm still very satisfied with this! I have some blemishes and acne scars. Instead of trying to cover them completely with a thick layer, I recommend applying a thin, even layer - like you're coating your skin! Given its good longevity and beautiful wear, if you take care to apply a thin, even layer without getting greedy, you'll achieve a truly beautiful complexion! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinSep 26, 2020
* This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! I won the tester opportunity and received the product on Tuesday. I've been using it until today, and it's so good that I rushed here to write a review. I'm planning to purchase a full-size product... (This is for real) 🥰 Application I applied a small amount of foundation on my face and patted it with a puff. It spreads incredibly thinly with just a little product and applies very smoothly. 🥰 Longevity Considering I was wearing a mask, the staying power was quite good. Even with my very oily skin, it lasted surprisingly long. 🥰 Coverage Wow... It covers so well even with a small amount! Actually, my skin has been breaking out lately, and it was hard to cover with my usual foundation, but this one covers really well. And if you apply a thin second layer, it's even better - the coverage is truly excellent. 🥰 Color Some reviews mention the color being too yellow, but it was perfect for me. When I applied it to my face, it just provided the right amount of coverage. Also, I liked that it didn't look too made-up. 🥰 Blemishes My skin has been extremely sensitive lately, and I always got blemishes after going out with makeup on. But with this product, I didn't get any at all! 😕 Transfer On the day I used this foundation, I was wearing a mask for a very long time, and it did transfer quite a bit onto the mask. I applied the foundation to my face and patted it with a damp Daiso puff. The makeup really adheres well to the skin!
