Thrilled it's a vegan product 2. Balm-type cleanser No worries about spills even if dropped or rolling around in your makeup bag. Convenient as you don't need to scoop it out with your hands. 3. Clean finish They said no double cleansing needed, and it's true - barely any residue left. I've tried other cleansing balms, but none rinse off as refreshingly as Frevitz. Still, I always double cleanse...!
Cons1. Product packaging Can't see how much is left due to the opaque container with grinder design... The grinder also makes the container quite tall. Not very compact. 2. Slight tingling on cheeks No blemishes, but there's a very slight tingling sensation on my cheeks after use. 3. Ambiguous scent Is it citrus? Herbal? Natural ingredient smell? The scent is unclear.. Couldn't it be unscented?
TipIt's not a stiff balm, but melts super smoothly, so you don't need much for a good face massage. Don't overdo it with too many swirls~~

I'm not exaggerating when I say my skin is in poor condition 360 out of 365 days a year. My skin reacts to everything - from seasonal temperature changes to sunlight and even water. I'm extremely cautious when choosing skincare products, thoroughly examining ingredients before purchasing. Even with utmost care, switching skincare or shampoo can easily trigger blemishes. My skin is so temperamental that I often stock up on products that work well, as they tend to be discontinued or reformulated. Surprisingly, even opening a new bottle of a product I've used successfully before (with identical ingredients) can sometimes cause a reaction. Keep this extreme sensitivity in mind as you read my review. First, I love that this is a vegan product. While not all vegan products suit me, most I've tried have worked well. The ingredient list didn't raise any red flags, and the scent wasn't overpowering - just a typical cleansing balm fragrance. I've tried many oil-based cleansers, particularly balm types (like Banila Co Clean It Zero, Farmacy Green Clean, Yada Green Tea Pure Cleansing Balm, The Saem Phyto Seven Cleansing Oil Cream, Skinfood Garden Bean Gentle Balm Cleanser, etc.). In terms of texture, cleansing effectiveness, and emulsification, this product is above average. Unlike other balms that require scooping and can feel a bit firm, this has a soft, creamy texture that's less likely to tug at the skin, reducing irritation. I regularly use cleansing balms for sebum removal, and this one effectively dissolved sebum, leaving my skin soft and clean with just a gentle touch. This speaks to its excellent cleansing power. For a more accurate test, I applied foundation and left it to set for an hour, mimicking real makeup wear. While it didn't completely remove mascara (which often requires a separate remover anyway), it did a great job with foundation. Any residue was easily removed with a second cleanse and toner. The balm emulsifies well too - when mixed with water, it turns milky white, effectively breaking down makeup. There was no residue after following up with a foam cleanser, and importantly, no blemishes appeared after use! The standout feature is the grinder, which I absolutely love. Other products require spatulas (not always included) and completely dry hands, which can be fussy. This one just needs a quick twist of the container - so convenient and hygienic. While some product does stick to the container when dispensing, it's far less troublesome than opening multiple lids and using spatulas with other brands. I simply use my fingers to scoop out the product cleanly before closing the lid.
ConsWhile I can tolerate it, the product stings quite a bit if it gets in your eyes. I'm particularly sensitive to eye discomfort since having LASEK surgery. Some other cleansing balms I've used in the past were effective at removing eye makeup without causing irritation, so I was surprised by the unexpected stinging sensation with this one. I'd recommend using a separate eye makeup remover to be safe.
TipI couldn't find the photo guide feature, so I'll describe the images here: 1. Products to be removed (cushion foundation, liquid foundation, glow tint, velvet tint, waterproof long-lash mascara) 2. Product texture 3. Product packaging 4. Emulsification process (though the image is a bit blurry) 5. Residual foundation and mascara in marked areas Note: Don't worry too much about the tint removal - those are notoriously difficult to remove completely due to their intense staining power.
