Reviewer's skin type: Combination dehydrated skin, sensitive with redness and blemishes, thin skin Recently, my skin barrier has been compromised, so I've been minimizing my skincare routine. I've been using Make P:rem Low pH Cleansing Foam as my cleanser. 1. Cleansing effectiveness Since cleansing power is the most important aspect of a cleansing product, I checked how well it removes base makeup. With one use, it dissolves and removes most makeup, but for waterproof products (mascara, eyeliner), I recommend using a separate lip and eye remover. 2. Scent The scent is like... rubber mask? It has an artificial scent similar to some wash-off masks with a rubber smell. It might be a bit surprising at first, but you seem to get used to it as you use it... However, those sensitive to fragrances should take note. 3. Irritation I have sensitive skin, so I was worried about clogged pores causing blemishes or potential irritation from using a cleansing balm, but there were no issues at all! From the start, when I checked the ingredients, there weren't many problematic ones, so I used it with confidence. 4. Packaging I really like that the packaging allows you to dispense the product for each use instead of scooping it out, which is much more hygienic. Just be sure to wipe off any excess that might come out on the sides when you turn it clockwise and dispense the product.
Cons1. Scent As mentioned above, the scent is somewhat artificial and has a rubber-like smell, which bothered me every time I used it. Those sensitive to fragrances should keep this in mind before using.

I love that you can use just the amount you need, and it's hygienic too. I think this type of product packaging could become more common in the future, which would be great. I was satisfied with how well it removed lip and eye makeup, and what I liked most was how gently it cleansed without irritating my skin. Perhaps due to the vitamin ingredients, my skin felt refreshed and bright after use.
ConsWhile I was a bit disappointed that it didn't completely remove lip stains, everything else about the product was excellent.
TipIt's perfect for travel since you don't need to pack a separate makeup remover and cleanser.

When using the balm type, I often switch from a spatula to my fingers, but this case dispenses just the right amount you need. It's so convenient! The cleansing effectiveness was better than expected! I was surprised it even removed mascara. It's great not needing a separate lip and eye remover. After massaging it well, it seemed to dissolve sebum effectively. I've always found balm types less satisfying compared to oils, but this one truly impressed me!
ConsGiven the soft texture, I wonder if it will dispense evenly when the weather gets hotter. Also, when dispensing, some product gets stuck on the sides, which needs to be wiped off each time. It's a bit cumbersome, but I guess it's something to accept given the case design.
TipYou need to apply a bit of force when turning it the first time!

Unlike some cleansing oils that struggle with stubborn makeup or leave mascara residue, this cleanser removed everything effortlessly. The texture feels like touching ice cream - it becomes silky smooth as you massage it in. My skin usually reacts badly when I change products, but this didn't cause any irritation, which was fantastic. I typically dislike oily cleansers as I have super sensitive skin, but this vegan formula didn't upset my skin at all.
ConsBeing vegan, it didn't cause any blemishes. The only downside is that it doesn't seem to tackle excess oil effectively. Apart from that, everything else was great.
TipIf you massage the cleansing balm, then add water and massage again, it emulsifies and helps clear out blackheads.

Compared to Banila Co, it's less oily, making the second cleanse easier. In my experience, it removes mascara well and cleanses effectively. However, I can't really compare it to my usual routine of cleansing cream + low pH foam, as that works well too. Texture-wise, the balm is smoother than cream and has a rich feel, so you don't need to rub your face as much, which is nice. The grinder feature keeps dust and water out, making it more hygienic. While you don't need to store a separate spatula, which is convenient, you do need to wipe the grinder part after use.
ConsThe scent is a mix of fresh lemon and something oily, which I'm not a fan of. I think I would have preferred it to be fragrance-free.

I loved how easy it was to use, sharpening it like a pencil. It's hygienic since neither a spatula nor your hands directly touch the product. I usually don't wear makeup, just mineral sunscreen, and this cleansing balm removed it effectively. After using it for a few days, I didn't experience any blemishes, and it melted gently on my skin without causing any tingling or irritation during the massage.
ConsIt's a bit more cumbersome than milk or oil cleansers that you can use right away since you need to sharpen it. Also, it's somewhat pricey, so it might be best to purchase it when it's on sale.

Emulsification It emulsifies beautifully, turning white when it comes in contact with water. 2. Cleansing effectiveness It effectively removed even my point makeup. 3. Clean finish Unlike most oils or cleansing balms that often leave a greasy residue, this product finishes just right. I didn't even feel the need for a second cleanse. 4. Hygiene Cleansing balms can be a bit concerning hygiene-wise since you scoop them out, but this grinding type is so convenient and hygienic - it puts my mind at ease. 5. Sebum removal When using this product, I can feel the sebum rolling off... While it doesn't happen every day, I've concluded it has sebum-removing capabilities.
ConsBrightening effect To be honest, I haven't noticed any visible results... But I'm continuing to use it assuming it works. Blackheads Well... it doesn't work. While it removes sebum, blackheads remain...

The texture, when rubbed between fingers, feels like bean paste used in bread. When applied to the face, it melts smoothly with body heat, transforming into an oil. True to its name 'Vita Cleansing Balm', it has a yellow, clay-like appearance. It effectively removed light makeup without irritating my sensitive eye area, which I usually focus on when cleansing. As a vegan product, the ingredients are reassuring! No harmful substances! It's gentle on the skin, and I didn't experience any blemishes or breakouts.
ConsThe scent isn't particularly pleasant - it smells like raw ingredients, reminiscent of rubber clay. When massaged as a balm and then mixed with water, it doesn't emulsify as well as cleansing oils. It doesn't rinse off with that satisfying milky effect, and you can still feel a slight residue on your skin.
TipYou'll definitely need to follow up with a second cleanse to finish the job!

The texture is incredibly smooth, with a lovely yellow hue. It's so satisfying to watch as it naturally melts on the skin, effortlessly dissolving makeup. It even feels like it's giving a gentle massage. A notable feature, which could be seen as both a pro and a con, is how easily the balm melts. After cleansing, there's no tight feeling, no irritation, and my skin feels nicely hydrated. I absolutely love the pretty packaging with its convenient lid!
ConsOne downside is that the product tends to stick to the container after use. I usually wipe it with a cotton pad. It's a bit frustrating not being able to see how much product is left or how much I've used. While I'd love to repurchase when I finish this, the price point is a bit steep for me.
TipIt's best not to spend too long cleansing. If you use the right amount, you might not need a second cleanse (especially if you wear light makeup). For eye cream and lip products, it's better to use a separate remover.

I have combination skin prone to blemishes, especially when I'm tired or not feeling my best. While using this product, I didn't experience any problematic breakouts. The fragrance was pleasant without being overwhelming - a subtle, refreshing citrus scent that wasn't too strong or harsh. The cleansing balm seemed to remove sunscreen effectively, and for heavier makeup, I took extra care to massage it in thoroughly. In both cases, I followed up with a foaming cleanser for double cleansing. I absolutely loved the grinding mechanism. Unlike previous products that either lacked a spatula or exposed the entire surface upon opening (raising hygiene concerns), this cleansing balm from Preveats feels more sanitary. You simply twist the container to dispense just the right amount. The product melts easily with minimal warmth, transforming into a silky oil texture when applied to the face, gliding on smoothly and quickly.
ConsWhile the soft texture is great on the face, it can be a bit tricky when dispensing from the container. The slippery, soft consistency makes it difficult to get out cleanly, often resulting in a messy container. I think a slightly firmer texture would have made for a neater application. When rinsing off the product after massaging it into the face, I felt like there was a lingering slickness or oiliness that didn't wash away completely. A fresher, lighter formula might have been preferable.
