Applying this along the part line really helped moisturize without making my hair greasy or causing any blemishes. As it's a baby product, Atopalm is gentle and trustworthy.
ConsI often forget to use it and don't reach for it regularly, but I apply it occasionally when I remember for maintenance.
TipFor targeted application on problem areas, section your hair. Using a large cotton swab allows for even more precise application.

It not only protects the scalp's barrier but also soothes sensitive scalps without irritation. The protruding nozzle design ensures hygienic application. Its light texture absorbs quickly without stickiness, making it ideal for scalp use. Containing rooibos extract, excellent for soothing blemishes, and vitamin B complex for enhanced scalp hydration, it effectively calms dead skin cells. This emulsion is perfect not only for newborns but also for children who frequently scratch their scalps or experience dryness and itching.
ConsThere's nothing particularly special about it, though Atopalm products generally have good ingredients. The price can be a bit steep.
TipFor the best experience, apply to a completely dry scalp to ensure optimal absorption.

My scalp was dealing with dead skin cells, dryness, itching, and redness from scratching - basically, I had a super sensitive scalp like a newborn's! When the itching became unbearable, I'd end up scratching with my nails. Surprisingly, this product moisturized my irritated scalp without any sticky feeling. I was slightly worried that applying something might cause more irritation, but it was actually very gentle and soothing. It felt so comfortable!
ConsThere wasn't really anything to complain about! This product was originally made for newborns, so it's obviously great for babies. Since I, as an adult with seborrheic dermatitis, was satisfied using it, I think it would be wonderful if they came out with a version specifically tailored for adults with problematic scalps.

Ceramides and MLE components help strengthen the skin barrier, providing moisturizing protection for delicate newborn scalps. - Texture: Light emulsion - Scent: Cool herbal aroma - Feel: Cooling sensation when applied; massaging into the scalp provides a long-lasting refreshing feeling - Application: The liquid consistency allows for easy distribution across the scalp - Packaging: The long, narrow nozzle is perfect for applying between hair strands. The bottle has rounded edges for safe use on babies - User Feedback: 30s Male with seborrheic scalp: While unable to fully verify effectiveness due to recent improvement, noticed reduced dead skin cells. Redness still present, but massaging seems to have a soothing effect. 30s Female with oily scalp: Massage provides a cooling, mind-clearing, and relaxing effect. However, it makes hair too greasy for daily use. 6-year-old with normal scalp: Applied for hydration, child found it a bit cold. - Overall: This product would have been ideal when my child was younger and had scalp issues. Easy to apply with gentle ingredients, suitable for sensitive scalps.
ConsThis product is specifically designed for newborns, making it challenging for others to use. Once applied, it's impossible to go out as it leaves hair greasy for all three testers. It requires washing hair again after application, which isn't practical. While perfect for newborns who don't go out often, it's not really recommendable for adults, unlike some other newborn products.
TipDue to the greasy effect, it can't be used during active hours. For optimal results, apply after washing hair in the evening, allow it to absorb overnight, and rinse in the morning. This method ensures you benefit from its moisturizing properties without the inconvenience of greasy hair during the day.

I was worried since my scalp is quite sensitive, but it applied gently without irritation, making it great for sensitive scalps. When applied before bed, it seemed to keep my scalp moisturized and hydrated. It absorbed quickly without any stickiness, so my child didn't keep touching it.
ConsI cautiously think that the product's scent might be a bit polarizing for some people.
TipApplying the emulsion to the scalp before bed seems to allow for better absorption overnight, maintaining the hydration effect until morning. It might provide faster soothing relief when used on an itchy or irritated scalp.

While it's even better when used with the shampoo from the same line, I was lucky enough to be selected by The Hwahae Testers to try just the emulsion. ✅ Atopalm, a brand I've always used! It's a relatively familiar brand as I've been using their emulsions and creams since my child was young. ✅ Ingredients you can trust! As it's a baby product, I could use it with confidence, without worrying about the ingredients. ✅ Applicator perfect for the scalp Unlike other regular emulsions, the narrow opening made it easy to apply to every nook and cranny of the scalp. ✅ Most importantly, it works! For faster results, I found it effective to apply the emulsion to the scalp before washing, cover with a hair cap, wait for a while, and then rinse off.
Cons❌ Experienced some scalp buildup Due to the nature of emulsions, applying it once more before bed led to a bit of scalp buildup the next day. ❌ Felt like the volume was small Given that the scalp needs consistent care, the small volume means it might run out quickly. ❌ The scent wasn't great Despite being a product for children, the fragrance wasn't particularly pleasant.
TipAs the weather is getting drier these days, it seems we need to pay extra attention to scalp care. I recommend the Atopalm Newborn Scalp Emulsion for children with sensitive scalps.

But this product, with its nourishing vitamins, seems to have gentle ingredients. After applying, I was pleased that the scalp didn't feel dry. For children with sensitive skin, even small irritants can cause dermatitis and quick reactions, but we didn't experience any of that, which was very satisfying. Packaging: 5/5 stars I particularly liked that the nozzle allows for direct application to the scalp, making it easy to apply thoroughly to every part of the scalp. Texture: 5/5 stars The consistency is just right - not too runny like water, nor too thick. I was worried about it getting into the eyes if it was too liquid, but while it's moisturizing, the texture was perfect for application.
ConsAfter applying it to the scalp multiple times, it can potentially make the hair look a bit greasy. Due to the build-up and dead skin cells, it might appear slightly matted.
TipUsing this emulsion to moisturize the scalp several times before washing seemed to soften the dead skin cells, making them easier to wash away. The scaly patches are gradually improving, and the scalp is becoming more smooth and healthy-looking.

My skin is extremely dry, so I was thrilled with this. I even tried it on my 5-year-old after bath time. Personally, I found it very hydrating. The fact that it's fragrance-free is a big plus for me, though those who prefer scented products might be disappointed.
ConsThe only downside is that you have to twist the cap open every time you use it. That's a bit inconvenient.

Its excellent moisturizing effect left my baby's dry scalp hydrated and reduced itching, which was very satisfying. The product absorbs quickly without any sticky feeling, making it comfortable to use.
ConsThe effects of the product weren't immediately noticeable, requiring consistent use to see improvements.
TipIt's best to apply the emulsion when the scalp is slightly damp after bathing. This maximizes the moisturizing effect and helps the emulsion absorb better. Also, gently massaging it into the scalp can improve blood circulation, promoting overall scalp health. Consistency is key, so I recommend using it regularly 1-2 times a day.

This product: 1. Is great for dry or flaky scalps 2. Has a long nozzle, making it easy to apply between hair strands 3. Contains quality ingredients, as expected from the trusted Atopalm brand - Features a proprietary MLE formulation with patented ceramides and lipid-enhancing ingredients to strengthen the scalp's protective barrier - Free from 10 harmful skin ingredients - Dermatologically tested - Proven to improve scalp flakiness 4. Has a texture similar to typical emulsions
ConsI received this product two weeks ago and have used it 2-3 times with my child. So far, I haven't found any drawbacks!
TipI wish this product had been available when my second child struggled with seborrheic dermatitis as a newborn. I think it would be beneficial to use once a week or every other week. As I have a dry scalp, I've used it twice, once a week. When I use it, I apply it to my scalp, massage it in, then wear a hair cap for about an hour before rinsing and shampooing.
