The narrow opening allowed me to apply it evenly, reaching the scalp. After applying, I gently massaged it in with my fingertips, followed by shampooing. Her previously wild mane settled down beautifully! The attached photo is from her first haircut. She's had severe scalp dead skin cells since she was a newborn, and there are still traces left. We've tried every oil because of this... She's 6 now and still has some issues. She occasionally scratches her head as if it's itchy. I'm thrilled that this product claims to improve scalp dead skin cells and soothe the scalp, which should help with the itching. I wish we had found this product sooner!
ConsHowever, being an emulsion type, it looks greasy and clumps after application. So I end up using it before shampooing. The scent is an artificial herbal smell? Since it's for kids, I made sure to shampoo thoroughly afterwards.

When applied lightly right after shampooing, it left the hair feeling soft and fresh even without rinsing, after drying. This is something I'm completely satisfied with! For my daughter, I used it like a scalp emulsion, and she noticeably scratched her scalp less often! For my husband, I used it like a scalp pack, and it effectively reduced scalp itching and dandruff! While my 26-month-old daughter was satisfied with how it felt, it was especially great for my husband's scalp. It's a product that's definitely effective for deep dry skin, dandruff, and combination dehydrated skin issues! Compared to the previous product we used on my husband's scalp, it's similar in price for the amount, but I'm more satisfied with the ingredients. Truly... Atopalm takes care of our family's skin! I'm always grateful :)
ConsThere's nothing particularly disappointing! If I had to choose something, maybe the faint herbal scent? It might be a matter of personal preference. People who dislike artificial fragrances might like this scent, but those who prefer floral scents might not care for it.
TipWhen not rinsing after using the product, it's more effective to apply it while the hair is still slightly damp from towel-drying. (It absorbs more thinly and evenly when there's some moisture!) For dandruff or dry scalp, after shampooing, apply generously like a scalp pack, leave it on for a while (about 10-20 minutes), then gently massage with wet hands before rinsing for more effective use! (This is a hair salon head spa or scalp clinic technique) 1. Gently brush with fingers or a cushion brush 2. Section the hair using fingers or the product nozzle 3. Apply the product in thin lines, gently smoothing it down 4. Massage up and down with fingers 5. Brush through with fingers and shake to distribute I've tried to describe the application process in as much detail as possible :)

I used to just use the same emulsion for the face on the scalp, but having a dedicated emulsion like this one is fantastic. It's incredibly hydrating, absorbs easily, and has a slightly cooling sensation that feels great for scalp care. Unlike typical emulsions, this comes in a smaller size (which makes sense since it's only for the newborn stage!) with a tube design. The small opening allows for better control of the amount dispensed, which is really convenient. We don't have a newborn at home, so I suggested it to a family at church with a new baby. They reported using it without any blemishes or issues. (I felt bad asking the busy mom for photos, haha!) As a mother who's raised a child, I remember how challenging scalp care for newborns can be. I used to worry about whether I should remove all the dead skin cells. Using a scalp-specific emulsion like this seems ideal for management. Regular baby emulsions can make the scalp oilier and prone to baby acne, so be sure to use a dedicated scalp emulsion!
ConsThere wasn't really anything to complain about! It's unscented, but there's a slight medicinal scent that some might love or hate.
