My child had severe seborrheic dermatitis on the scalp. At that time, the hospital advised not to forcibly remove it, but to keep it moist with water. This product moisturizes while reducing scalp dead skin cells and alleviating itchiness, so there's no need to soak with water - just apply it directly. When I actually tried it, it's incredibly hydrating and absorbs instantly! Although it's for newborns, when I tested it, I applied it to my scalp first like a mask to soothe the scalp and soften dead skin cells before shampooing. My scalp felt wonderfully refreshed!
ConsThere's nothing to be disappointed about. I think it would be great with consistent use!
TipAdults can try using it as a scalp pack!

But after applying this emulsion, it seems to have a cooling effect. The scratching has reduced, and the baby sleeps well at night too! The scent is pleasantly subtle, like a cool mint. The texture is slightly runny, making it easy to apply! I squeeze it out, gently spray it on, and then softly spread it. The baby stays still, probably feeling the cooling sensation. I wish I had known about this product earlier!
ConsSo far, I haven't found any particular drawbacks while using this product.
TipFor babies who don't stay still, instead of applying directly to the scalp, try squeezing some onto your hands and gently massaging it into their hair. The runny texture makes it easy to apply!

I got the chance to try this product by chance, and wow! While I haven't seen any dramatic visible effects yet, you know that feeling when you can definitely sense a difference? I feel like the flaking has noticeably decreased, and the itchiness has been significantly reduced too! It's amazing, isn't it? I've been using it for about 10 days, though not consistently - maybe every other day, sometimes back-to-back. I think people with seborrheic dermatitis would see really noticeable results with this! Of course, everyone's different, but Atopalm is so well-known for its great, gentle ingredients. Especially since this was developed for newborns! I have a friend who recently gave birth - if she mentions any scalp issues, I'll definitely gift her this!
ConsThere's not much to complain about, but since it's an emulsion, if you apply it before going out, your hair might look a bit greasy, as if you haven't washed it. So you need to apply it at night after showering, before bed. As I have slightly oily skin, this might be more of an issue for me, but I think it wouldn't be a problem for those with dry skin!

While it's even better when used with the shampoo from the same line, I was lucky enough to be selected by The Hwahae Testers to try just the emulsion. ✅ Atopalm, a brand I've always used! It's a relatively familiar brand as I've been using their emulsions and creams since my child was young. ✅ Ingredients you can trust! As it's a baby product, I could use it with confidence, without worrying about the ingredients. ✅ Applicator perfect for the scalp Unlike other regular emulsions, the narrow opening made it easy to apply to every nook and cranny of the scalp. ✅ Most importantly, it works! For faster results, I found it effective to apply the emulsion to the scalp before washing, cover with a hair cap, wait for a while, and then rinse off.
Cons❌ Experienced some scalp buildup Due to the nature of emulsions, applying it once more before bed led to a bit of scalp buildup the next day. ❌ Felt like the volume was small Given that the scalp needs consistent care, the small volume means it might run out quickly. ❌ The scent wasn't great Despite being a product for children, the fragrance wasn't particularly pleasant.
TipAs the weather is getting drier these days, it seems we need to pay extra attention to scalp care. I recommend the Atopalm Newborn Scalp Emulsion for children with sensitive scalps.

I knew I shouldn't pick them off with my fingers, but my child kept scratching due to the itchiness, which concerned me. Atopam Newborn Scalp Emulsion was great because it not only removed dead skin cells from the scalp but also alleviated the itching. I especially like how the emulsion's opening is narrow when you take off the cap, making it easy to apply directly to the scalp. It doesn't pour out all at once, so you can use just the amount you need. You simply squeeze out a suitable amount onto your head and gently pat it in with your fingers. It absorbs well without feeling sticky and provides hydration with a fresh feel. Since it's a product for children, I thought it might be good for adults too, so I recommended it to my husband. After trying it once, he said his scalp felt cool and soothed, so now we're using it together. Above all, I felt reassured using this product knowing it had passed safety tests for infants and children.
ConsThere isn't much of a scent, so it feels more like a medicinal product than an emulsion, but it doesn't really bother me. If fragrance were added, wouldn't that just mean more potentially harmful substances?
TipFor even more effective cleansing, try applying it to your scalp before shampooing to soften the dead skin cells, then wash your hair thoroughly.

Its excellent moisturizing effect left my baby's dry scalp hydrated and reduced itching, which was very satisfying. The product absorbs quickly without any sticky feeling, making it comfortable to use.
ConsThe effects of the product weren't immediately noticeable, requiring consistent use to see improvements.
TipIt's best to apply the emulsion when the scalp is slightly damp after bathing. This maximizes the moisturizing effect and helps the emulsion absorb better. Also, gently massaging it into the scalp can improve blood circulation, promoting overall scalp health. Consistency is key, so I recommend using it regularly 1-2 times a day.

Even my kids, who used to habitually scratch their skin and scalp while sleeping, appear to be scratching less since we started using it.
ConsWhen my children were babies, they had severe cradle cap. I wish I had known about this product earlier to maintain better scalp hygiene. It's disappointing that I lacked this information back then. We tried soaking with water and using oils, but nothing worked well, and it looked unsightly. Now that they're older, using this product doesn't show dramatic effects, which is a bit disappointing. I really should have done more research.
TipBe mindful of the amount you use, as applying too much could make your hair greasy.

I used it on my damp scalp for a week after shampooing. The emulsion-like texture with high hydration absorbs well into the skin. Being a newborn product, it left almost no residue, and my hair felt light and fresh, not weighed down or greasy. The product is fragrance-free and doesn't interfere with styling, so I used it consistently for a week after shampooing. It felt like it created a light protective barrier, which seemed to reduce itching. I even tried applying the leftover product on my arms, and it left my sun-damaged, rough skin feeling moisturized, as if it had formed a hydrating layer. Since newborns can't tell us if they like it or not, I tested it on myself. Atopalm is already a brand I trust, but using their newborn product made me even more confident in its safety. I kept it in my bag for quick use, not just on my scalp but also on my child's sensitive areas or when the skin felt dry. The instant hydration was satisfying. The 100g size is perfect for carrying in a bag. After consistent use during dry spells, I think it's an excellent product for children to use during seasonal changes.
ConsThe cap is a twist-off type, and while I liked that it's a squeeze tube, it would have been even better if it had a one-touch open system for easier dispensing.
TipIt worked well not only for the scalp but also for sensitive and dry baby skin. Since it's designed to moisturize the baby's scalp without clogging pores, I tried it on my son's sensitive areas when they were dry. It reduced itching and provided quick hydration, which was very satisfying.

ConsAfter using this product, I find myself touching my hair less often than usual I plan to keep using it consistently for my baby
TipAfter shampooing, apply the Newborn Scalp Emulsion to the necessary areas, spreading it evenly and gently patting to absorb. It absorbs quickly without any stickiness, so you can use it worry-free before bed or during daily activities. I personally use it whenever I feel my scalp getting dry.

My little one used to scratch their scalp excessively, causing redness and even wounds, but since using this, the frequency of scratching has decreased. Both my husband and I, who tend to have itchy scalps, tried it a few times and found it quite effective.
ConsHowever, it's a bit disappointing that even a small amount can make the hair look greasy. It might be better to apply it in the evening.
