I got the chance to try this product by chance, and wow! While I haven't seen any dramatic visible effects yet, you know that feeling when you can definitely sense a difference? I feel like the flaking has noticeably decreased, and the itchiness has been significantly reduced too! It's amazing, isn't it? I've been using it for about 10 days, though not consistently - maybe every other day, sometimes back-to-back. I think people with seborrheic dermatitis would see really noticeable results with this! Of course, everyone's different, but Atopalm is so well-known for its great, gentle ingredients. Especially since this was developed for newborns! I have a friend who recently gave birth - if she mentions any scalp issues, I'll definitely gift her this!
ConsThere's not much to complain about, but since it's an emulsion, if you apply it before going out, your hair might look a bit greasy, as if you haven't washed it. So you need to apply it at night after showering, before bed. As I have slightly oily skin, this might be more of an issue for me, but I think it wouldn't be a problem for those with dry skin!

Most of them disappeared, and I was really pleased that it doesn't contain any harmful ingredients for children. The scent was also pleasant and not irritating.
ConsWhile it's a bit disappointing that my child initially found it slightly itchy, apart from that, it's quite alright.

I knew I shouldn't pick them off with my fingers, but my child kept scratching due to the itchiness, which concerned me. Atopam Newborn Scalp Emulsion was great because it not only removed dead skin cells from the scalp but also alleviated the itching. I especially like how the emulsion's opening is narrow when you take off the cap, making it easy to apply directly to the scalp. It doesn't pour out all at once, so you can use just the amount you need. You simply squeeze out a suitable amount onto your head and gently pat it in with your fingers. It absorbs well without feeling sticky and provides hydration with a fresh feel. Since it's a product for children, I thought it might be good for adults too, so I recommended it to my husband. After trying it once, he said his scalp felt cool and soothed, so now we're using it together. Above all, I felt reassured using this product knowing it had passed safety tests for infants and children.
ConsThere isn't much of a scent, so it feels more like a medicinal product than an emulsion, but it doesn't really bother me. If fragrance were added, wouldn't that just mean more potentially harmful substances?
TipFor even more effective cleansing, try applying it to your scalp before shampooing to soften the dead skin cells, then wash your hair thoroughly.

In our household, my husband has a sensitive scalp with a lot of dead skin cells, but since this product is gentle enough for children to use, I felt reassured. My husband's scalp really produces a lot of flakes, and he's so sensitive that he can't use just anything. However, this product gently removes dead skin cells, and the application method is so simple that my husband absolutely loves it. We'll definitely keep using it consistently!
ConsThere's nothing particularly disappointing about it yet. I think we'll need to use it consistently to really know how it affects the scalp!

This product: 1. Is great for dry or flaky scalps 2. Has a long nozzle, making it easy to apply between hair strands 3. Contains quality ingredients, as expected from the trusted Atopalm brand - Features a proprietary MLE formulation with patented ceramides and lipid-enhancing ingredients to strengthen the scalp's protective barrier - Free from 10 harmful skin ingredients - Dermatologically tested - Proven to improve scalp flakiness 4. Has a texture similar to typical emulsions
ConsI received this product two weeks ago and have used it 2-3 times with my child. So far, I haven't found any drawbacks!
TipI wish this product had been available when my second child struggled with seborrheic dermatitis as a newborn. I think it would be beneficial to use once a week or every other week. As I have a dry scalp, I've used it twice, once a week. When I use it, I apply it to my scalp, massage it in, then wear a hair cap for about an hour before rinsing and shampooing.

The scent isn't unscented, but it has its own unique fragrance. Since it's just an emulsion, the effects are a bit slow, but it does keep my dry scalp moisturized. I think it's slightly effective on dead skin cells compared to not using anything at all!
ConsAs it's an emulsion for the scalp, application can be a bit tricky. You need to apply a tiny amount to avoid clumping. I can't help but think it might be better if it were in an essence-like form!
TipI think using the shampoo from the same product line would really maximize the effects!

I've always tried to keep it moisturized by applying cream and wiping with a damp cloth, even trying to stop the scratching, but nothing worked. Since discovering this product, it's really calmed down the scalp flaking. Now, the scalp condition has improved significantly. I often scratch my scalp too, so I'm planning to use it myself! The ingredients are not only gentle but also super effective - I highly recommend it!!!
ConsThere weren't any downsides! The only slight inconvenience is that since it's an emulsion for the hair, it might make your hair a bit greasy. Other than that, it's great!

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsI'm raising a 100-day-old baby. Recently, yellow flakes similar to seborrheic dermatitis appeared on the scalp. After applying this product consistently for about 3 days and gently massaging during shampoo, the dead skin cells improved significantly. The product absorbs well, so the baby doesn't feel uncomfortable when I apply it. It's also easy to use with its convenient squeeze bottle, and I like that the fragrance isn't too strong.
ConsAfter application, the hair can become a bit sticky, so it's difficult to apply in the morning. It seems best to apply it 1-2 hours before bathing in the evening. (It doesn't make short hair sticky. It's probably because I lack the skill and accidentally get it on the longer hair too. If you only apply it to the front part where flakes mainly occur, it shouldn't make the hair sticky.)
TipI find it works well to pat it on gently and then lightly massage the scalp when washing hair.

I tried Atopalm's Newborn Scalp Emulsion, designed for sensitive newborn scalp care. It promises to remove dead skin cells, moisturize, and soothe itching all at once. Key features: - Protective emulsion for sensitive newborn scalps - Improves scalp flaking and soothes the scalp - Relieves itching - Safe ingredients, even for newborns - Perfect emulsion consistency - not too thick, yet doesn't run While my child is past the newborn stage, this product was perfect for scalp care during the dry transitional seasons. I even tried it on my husband, who has a seborrheic scalp prone to blemishes. For adults with longer, thicker hair, I found it easier to apply before bathing. I massaged it into the scalp thoroughly, let it sit during the bath, then shampooed. The soothing and exfoliating effects were impressive. You can also massage it in while watching TV (the non-drip formula is convenient). Using the product every other day, I noticed improvements in itching and scalp irritation. Once again, Atopalm proves excellent for sensitive skin, soothing, and itch relief across all their products!
ConsThe scent, texture, and easy-to-apply nozzle design were all great.
TipI noticed this product also helped soothe the slight redness on the back of boys' heads after haircuts with clippers.

If I had known about this product before giving birth, I would have definitely added it to my hospital bag checklist! I still remember being shocked by how dry my baby's skin was and how severe the scalp flaking was when they were born. ✔️ Removes newborn scalp flakes, moisturizes, and soothes itching! It's specially formulated for newborn scalps, so I feel confident using it even on my 8-month-old. The main ingredients, rooibos extract and vitamin B complex, promote a healthy scalp, while ceramides and MLE strengthen the scalp barrier. Before having a baby, I never really paid attention to these ingredients, but now I scrutinize every product I use on my little one. ✔️ The emulsion formula makes it easy to apply ✔️ I love that it's not just for babies, but can be used for the whole family's scalp care!
ConsOne downside is that my baby has a lot of thick hair, so the emulsion can make it a bit clumpy. It's challenging to apply the emulsion precisely to the scalp when my baby is at that super active stage and won't stay still. Sometimes it ends up more like a hair treatment, mostly coating the hair instead of the scalp. I think it would be more effective on newborns who don't move around as much.
TipDue to these challenges, I haven't tried using it when we're out and about. Instead, I apply the Atopalm Newborn Scalp Emulsion as part of our bedtime routine, gently massaging it into the scalp while the baby is calm. I've also found it works well to apply the emulsion to the scalp before feeding time. I let it absorb while feeding, then wash it off afterward. It seems to provide good hydration this way. I'll keep using it consistently to see if it helps reduce itching in the long run.
