It not only protects the scalp's barrier but also soothes sensitive scalps without irritation. The protruding nozzle design ensures hygienic application. Its light texture absorbs quickly without stickiness, making it ideal for scalp use. Containing rooibos extract, excellent for soothing blemishes, and vitamin B complex for enhanced scalp hydration, it effectively calms dead skin cells. This emulsion is perfect not only for newborns but also for children who frequently scratch their scalps or experience dryness and itching.
ConsThere's nothing particularly special about it, though Atopalm products generally have good ingredients. The price can be a bit steep.
TipFor the best experience, apply to a completely dry scalp to ensure optimal absorption.

I was worried since my scalp is quite sensitive, but it applied gently without irritation, making it great for sensitive scalps. When applied before bed, it seemed to keep my scalp moisturized and hydrated. It absorbed quickly without any stickiness, so my child didn't keep touching it.
ConsI cautiously think that the product's scent might be a bit polarizing for some people.
TipApplying the emulsion to the scalp before bed seems to allow for better absorption overnight, maintaining the hydration effect until morning. It might provide faster soothing relief when used on an itchy or irritated scalp.

My skin is extremely dry, so I was thrilled with this. I even tried it on my 5-year-old after bath time. Personally, I found it very hydrating. The fact that it's fragrance-free is a big plus for me, though those who prefer scented products might be disappointed.
ConsThe only downside is that you have to twist the cap open every time you use it. That's a bit inconvenient.

Its excellent moisturizing effect left my baby's dry scalp hydrated and reduced itching, which was very satisfying. The product absorbs quickly without any sticky feeling, making it comfortable to use.
ConsThe effects of the product weren't immediately noticeable, requiring consistent use to see improvements.
TipIt's best to apply the emulsion when the scalp is slightly damp after bathing. This maximizes the moisturizing effect and helps the emulsion absorb better. Also, gently massaging it into the scalp can improve blood circulation, promoting overall scalp health. Consistency is key, so I recommend using it regularly 1-2 times a day.

The pediatrician said my baby's skin was generally good, but there were occasional blemishes on the scalp that would come and go. First off, the redness disappeared, and the blemishes subsided - what a relief! The formula has no stickiness at all, yet it's hydrating without feeling heavy.
ConsWhile the scent isn't particularly strong, I would have preferred it to be completely fragrance-free.

Scent: - Atopalm products have a distinctive herbal scent that might be polarizing. - Since it's intended for children, the scent isn't a major issue. However, some people may be put off by the medicinal aroma, which could affect repeat purchases. - The medicinal scent might actually be reassuring, making it feel more like a treatment.
ConsIt's a bit disappointing that it can make the hair slightly greasy. I wish it had a thinner consistency for a better pat-and-apply feeling.
TipIt's best to squeeze out small amounts in various spots and gently pat it all over for even application. If your baby has a lot of hair, the product might get caught in it, leading to over-application and potentially using up the product faster.

I used it before and after bathing, and interestingly, when applied before bathing, it felt like it helped wash away dead skin cells more effectively. After bathing, my scalp felt even more refreshed and the scent was lovely. It's fascinating how even when applied post-bath, while initially noticeable on the scalp, it absorbs completely within 20 minutes, leaving no sticky residue. I'd recommend applying it before bathing for the best results.
ConsThere wasn't really anything I disliked about it. My baby tends to cry loudly, which often makes their scalp turn red, but applying this Newborn Scalp Emulsion had a soothing effect, which was great.
TipTry applying it to the scalp before bathing. You'll notice how much cleaner and refreshed it feels afterwards.

It's essential to use a scalp-specific emulsion to gently exfoliate and allow dead skin to naturally fall away. That's why I use this emulsion alongside my baby shampoo. The narrow opening of the bottle makes it super easy to apply directly to the scalp. After application, I gently pat it in to help absorption. What I love is how it moisturizes without leaving any sticky residue - it feels so refreshing! Whenever my scalp gets itchy, I reach for this. It absorbs quickly, making it perfect for use before bed or heading out. After applying the Atopalm Newborn Scalp Emulsion and letting it soften the dead skin cells, shampooing becomes much more effective. I've noticed a significant reduction in itchiness and find myself scratching less often. Moving forward, I'll be sure to keep up with this routine alongside my baby shampoo to maintain a healthy, itch-free scalp.
ConsI haven't experienced any issues or blemishes while using this product yet. I'll continue to use it and update my review later.
TipThe lightweight emulsion formula glides on smoothly without any stickiness, making it ideal for scalp application. When using, part your hair with a comb and apply it directly to the scalp for better absorption. It's okay if some gets on your hair too. For maintenance, you can apply the emulsion after shampooing. Here's a pro tip: you can switch up the order! Try applying the Newborn Scalp Emulsion to areas with dead skin cells or flaky patches, let it soften them, remove the flakes, and then follow up with the Newborn Scalp Shampoo. While using both the shampoo and emulsion together works great, feel free to use the emulsion on its own too!

While it's not for newborn-level dead skin cells, I used it on my kids for scalp health during the changing seasons. It's full of hydration and not sticky, which is great. I think it's more effective for soothing and improving the scalp rather than just addressing flakes.
ConsThe container shape is similar to prescription products from dermatologists, as it's designed to touch the scalp. However, for delicate newborn scalps, a different container design might be more suitable.
TipIt would be great to use this along with the newborn scalp shampoo. Before using the scalp care line, you might want to try gently massaging with Atopalm Moisturizing Multi-Oil or a cream massage oil to help remove dead skin cells.

The texture is like a thin emulsion, if that helps you picture it. The scent is slightly cool and refreshing, but very subtle. My child has seborrheic dermatitis, so we're using this, and it's moisturizing without being sticky at all.
ConsFor those with seborrheic dermatitis or very dry scalps, I've found it works even better when mixed with a bit of oil before applying.
