I was worried it might feel sticky, but when I applied it to my scalp and gently patted it in like an emulsion, it absorbed beautifully, leaving my scalp feeling hydrated. I used it together with my son, and we're both satisfied because it's not irritating at all.
ConsOne slight drawback was that when applied to the scalp, perhaps due to its emulsion-like texture, it initially looked a bit greasy.
TipThat's why I highly recommend using it in the evening right after showering, once you've dried your scalp!

The narrow opening allowed me to apply it evenly, reaching the scalp. After applying, I gently massaged it in with my fingertips, followed by shampooing. Her previously wild mane settled down beautifully! The attached photo is from her first haircut. She's had severe scalp dead skin cells since she was a newborn, and there are still traces left. We've tried every oil because of this... She's 6 now and still has some issues. She occasionally scratches her head as if it's itchy. I'm thrilled that this product claims to improve scalp dead skin cells and soothe the scalp, which should help with the itching. I wish we had found this product sooner!
ConsHowever, being an emulsion type, it looks greasy and clumps after application. So I end up using it before shampooing. The scent is an artificial herbal smell? Since it's for kids, I made sure to shampoo thoroughly afterwards.

Cons- The scent is not very appealing - Appears quite oily when applied

After using a scalp-specific shampoo, I felt I needed some hydration, so I tried this. It had a soothing effect and reduced the itchiness. Knowing it's a moisturizer safe enough for newborns gives me peace of mind, and I plan to use it consistently myself.
ConsThere's nothing particularly special about it, but when applied to hair that's not completely dry after shampooing, it can feel a bit clumpy or greasy.
TipIt seems even more effective when used after exfoliating dead skin cells from the scalp.

So I decided to give this a try as a test. It instantly relieved the itchiness, so it seems adults can use it too. In three months, we'll have a newborn in our house, so I'll definitely be putting this to good use then!
ConsThe downside is... well, I applied too much! It left my hair feeling quite oily!
TipWhen using it, I'd recommend applying just a small amount directly to the scalp. The bottle has a tip similar to baby medicine bottles, which should make it easy to control the amount you use.

I applied this to my husband and sons after their outdoor activities left their scalps sunburned and red. The next day, I noticed their inflamed scalps had calmed down significantly! We used it consistently for a week before bedtime. While I can't say there were dramatic effects since they don't have problematic skin, I think it would be great to use after outdoor activities, especially on sunny days when the sun is harsh. For newborns with crusty, flaky scalps (you know, that 'milk crust' look), applying this before shampooing would likely improve the condition without irritation. We didn't have this when my kids were little, so we used to apply oil and let it soak before washing. I think the Atopalm Newborn Scalp Emulsion would work much better than oil!
ConsMaybe because our hair isn't as fine and delicate as a newborn's, but I think I applied too much. It made our hair look greasy, so it was difficult to use in the morning.
TipPart the hair and apply a small amount directly to the scalp, gently massaging it in.

I took my 20-month-old baby, who hates hats, to Caribbean Bay. The little one's scalp got all red and sunburnt, causing constant scratching. Though my baby doesn't usually have blemish-prone skin, I gently massaged this product into the scalp. The soothing effect was amazing - my baby stopped scratching afterwards! The calming power is truly remarkable. This is now a must-pack essential for our upcoming resort vacation. The texture is light, applies creamily, and absorbs quickly into the skin. Personally, I love the scent - it reminds me of cypress trees.
ConsMy husband, who has a scalp prone to blemishes and excess dead skin cells, was really interested in this product. However, after applying it to his scalp, it felt quite rich, making it difficult to use during the day.
TipIt might be best to apply this before bathing in the evening. Let it absorb, then shampoo for effective scalp care.
