The high-quality ingredients mean you don't have to worry about your skin breaking out The shade is too dark, so it's not recommended for those who use lighter shades than #21. After application, it makes your complexion look like you've applied #23, making it unusable. While the price is high for the amount you get, the packaging feels cheap You might need to mix it with a lighter shade to make it work - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 5, 2024
1. No irritation My skin has been sensitive lately due to the weather, but this BB cream didn't cause any irritation, which was great. 2. Doesn't cake up Some products tend to cake up or turn white in the afternoon, but this BB cream didn't do that at all. 3. Works well with sunscreen It paired well with both organic and inorganic sunscreens without pilling. It has a slight grayish tint and the color itself isn't particularly bright. I usually only use brightening moisturizer and concealer, so I found this BB cream to have sufficient coverage for me. However, if you're looking for higher coverage, you might find it lacking. I recommend this for people who work out (those looking for something to apply after showering post-exercise). - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinJul 4, 2024
First off, this was my introduction to BB cream, and I'm thrilled to say it exceeded my expectations! The texture isn't too thick, making it easy to apply and blend with just my fingers. As someone with a complexion matching shade 22, I found it wasn't too dark, which made it perfect for those 'no-makeup makeup' days. It's also become my go-to for traveling with my boyfriend - I can wear it to bed without worrying about revealing my bare face in the morning! The color isn't particularly flattering, and it might appear a bit dark for those with lighter skin tones. As time passes, it tends to get a bit oily. Another minor inconvenience is the need to apply sunscreen separately, which some might find bothersome. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 29, 2024
Contrary to my expectations, this BB cream was surprisingly hydrating despite its nature. It's perfect for a quick, natural-looking application when you're just stepping out for a quick errand. As expected with BB creams, the color was a bit on the darker side. Since it wasn't my usual product, I didn't reach for it often. The cosmetic fragrance is quite strong. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
Advantages: - Exceptional hydration compared to similar products - Decent coverage - sufficient for a complete base makeup if you don't have many blemishes - Smooth, easily spreadable texture that glides on well with fingers - Doesn't feel heavy even with multiple layers Areas for improvement: - The rose-like scent is quite strong and artificial, lingering longer than expected. This might be polarizing depending on age group - The shade leans slightly dark, potentially appearing a bit dull on lighter skin tones (19-20 in Korean shades) Perfect for quick errands or gym sessions when you want to avoid a bare face. Would pair well with a concealer for enhanced results. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 28, 2024
I have dry skin that's prone to makeup pilling. The best thing about this product is how incredibly hydrating it is! I was amazed that even when I layered it, it didn't pill and had a smooth, emulsion-like application. Surprisingly, I even loved the scent! Another great point is that it's gentle enough to wear overnight - a true testament to its mild formulation. The disappointing aspect was that the shade was a bit darker than my skin tone. I usually use a light #21 shade, but this was slightly too dark for me. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
1. Color While it appears quite dark for someone like me who usually uses a shade lighter than 21, I'm still using it by applying a thin layer and gently patting a lighter cushion on top. 2. Longevity The coverage is light, so you don't get that fully-covered feeling right after application. But because of this, as time passes, it gives you that 'no-makeup makeup' look. 3. Ingredients Lately, my skin hasn't been at its best, so I've been looking into BB creams to reduce my foundation use. It might be just a feeling, but these days my skin seems to breathe better! 4. Recommended for Those with blemish-prone skin Those wanting to reduce foundation use Those with super sensitive skin Those wanting a light makeup look for work The color is way too dark... Everything else is fine though. I'm thinking about buying a brightening moisturizer to use with it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 28, 2024
The absorption is really great and it makes my skin texture look amazing! It's definitely worth the higher price point. I tried sleeping with it on since I heard you could, and I didn't experience any blemishes or issues at all! This would be perfect as a bare-face cream. The color was... way too dark for me. I usually use shade 18, so I thought it might work, but it seemed quite dark. When I went out after applying it, someone even asked why my face suddenly looked so tanned... It would be great if there were color options to choose from! The color was... way too dark for me. I usually use shade 18, so I thought it might work, but it seemed quite dark. First off, I love that it helps repair your skin even while you sleep! I once tried a BB cream called Schrammek that claimed to be safe for overnight use, but it was incredibly thick and clumpy. This product, however, while thicker than regular BB creams, feels much lighter than typical regenerating BB creams, making it much easier to apply. It's perfect for those times when you're traveling and don't want to go bare-faced, but full makeup feels too heavy and difficult to remove. One downside is that, like other regenerating BB creams, the shade is a bit dark. I understand it might be challenging to create lighter shades while maintaining its restorative properties. While it works fine for me as I use shades 21-23, those who typically use shade 17 or lighter might find it gives their skin a grayish tint. I love mixing it with a brightening moisturizer for quick outings. The color blends perfectly, and it's so convenient! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 24, 2024
Note: The photo was taken 10 hours after application, with no touch-ups! I usually wear a brightening moisturizer with SPF to work, but I was considering trying something with more coverage. That's when the Alexander Kim's Co Royal BB Cream caught my eye! The description made it sound like it could be smoothly applied like an emulsion, perfect for my daily work routine. Plus, since I'm often too lazy to wash my face before bed (haha), a BB cream I could sleep in? This seemed made for me! At first application, I was a bit surprised. I expected it to be as fluid as an emulsion, but it was more like a typical BB cream. However, it was quite moisturizing - even with minimal skincare prep, it adhered perfectly without any patchiness. I was worried about the grayish cast typical of BB creams, but there was absolutely none! The color was similar to a foundation. BB creams have really improved! The color is a bit on the darker side though. I'm usually a light 21 shade, and while it matched well initially, it seemed to darken slightly over time. I'd say it's between a 22 and a light 23 shade. As someone with extremely oily skin, I usually get greasy very quickly. But with this, I stayed matte without feeling dry - amazing! The only downside was the very artificial fragrance, which was disappointing. Oh, and the coverage is medium. <Pros> 1. Applies smoothly - moisturizing without being too oily! 2. Wears beautifully throughout the day! 3. Didn't cause any blemishes even when I slept with it on! <Cons> 1. Slight darkening effect and the shade itself is a bit dark! 2. The fragrance is artificial. As mentioned above, the shade is a bit dark! There's some darkening over time! (Though I liked that it didn't have the typical grayish cast of BB creams) And it has an artificial scent. That typical artificial BB cream smell... It seemed to linger for about 30 minutes after application.
