The color initially looked ashy on my hand, but thankfully it blended into a natural shade. The actual color was like shade 23 with a hint of gray. It's great for dry skin - you can apply it without skincare prep and it won't look patchy. It's an easy-to-use product that works hard for you. The fragrance is too sharp and overwhelming. It barely covers pores and redness - especially the redness around the nose is still quite visible. I had high hopes because it claimed to be safe to sleep in, but now that I've checked the ingredients... I'm disappointed. It's also pricier than I expected, so I won't be repurchasing. I'll update this if I discover anything new while using it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 5, 2024
* The world's first BB cream infused with soothing, hydrating, and covering properties! * 100% directly imported from Germany / First Korean BB cream to receive FDA certification 1. Conceals imperfections and improves skin elasticity 2. Soothes skin from UV rays and external irritants 3. Provides moisturizing effects comparable to ampoules 4. Functions as an overnight soothing hydration mask 5. Uses herbal ingredients as main components: - Virginia meadowsweet leaf extract - Spanish licorice root extract - Stone bean oil - Allantoin - Panthenol I often saw Alexander Kim's Co Royal BB at skincare clinics, but I tried it for the first time thanks to The Hwahae Testers. The texture feels like a soothing cream, and it's incredibly moisturizing! After applying with a spatula and blending with a sponge, it doesn't feel thick or pill at all. There's minimal fading, and it seems to blend well with the skin's natural oils. I experienced no clogged pores or blemishes whatsoever. While it generally covers blemishes, the coverage isn't particularly high. I found that layering a more coverage-focused product over this BB cream resulted in a beautiful complexion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 5, 2024
I loved how it felt like skincare! It wasn't too thick or drying, making it comfortable to wear for long periods. If you use the light shade 21, it gives a natural look rather than a bright effect. I actually preferred that aspect - I don't like anything too artificial, and this looks so natural! It's easy to apply with fingers, blends smoothly, and goes on thin, which made me feel great about using it. I suppose the price might be the only drawback? But honestly, I didn't experience any discomfort while using it! Even though this BB cream has a strong skincare feel, it's still important to maintain a solid skincare routine underneath. Taking the time to apply your base products well, even when you're busy, will ensure a more comfortable day ahead. Let's make sure we apply our products properly! - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 5, 2024
I was intrigued by a BB cream you can sleep in, so I applied for the event and got lucky! Here's my review: What I loved: ✔️How it absorbs It's packed with hydration, so it applies smoothly and lightly. A little goes a long way - it covers the whole face easily. As someone who doesn't wear much makeup, I found this BB cream comfortable and lightweight, not heavy at all. ✔️Hydration From the moment you squeeze it out, it looks like it's infused with essence. It blends well during application, leaving your skin moisturized, not dry. ✔️The finish While it applies with a dewy feel, I love how it sets to a soft, non-sticky finish. ✔️Scent If you prefer unscented products, the rose fragrance might be a bit much. ✔️Coverage Since it's marketed as a BB cream you can sleep in, I didn't expect much coverage. If you're looking for high coverage, you might be disappointed. ✔️Price The price tag is quite shocking... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 5, 2024
Trying a BB cream after so many years! As someone who loves working out, going bare-faced feels a bit uncomfortable, while foundation and cushions feel too heavy. This product feels just right to use. Best of all, it didn't cause any itching, rashes, or blemishes. It applies smoothly, has a pleasant scent, and keeps my skin hydrated without any tightness. That's why it's so easy to just quickly pat it on. As I'm approaching my 30s, full makeup can sometimes feel a bit much (like when my outfit and makeup don't quite match). This is perfect for light, everyday wear when going out. It also works great mixed with foundation! The color blends naturally with my shade 23 skin, and it doesn't have that typical grayish tint. Though it might appear a bit dark for those with very fair skin. While the coverage is light, I prefer a natural look, so I'm quite satisfied. The price is a bit steep, which makes me hesitate about repurchasing, but I plan to use up every last drop! The price is quite burdensome. I'll have to keep an eye out for sales. It works well mixed with foundation, and finishing with powder seems to make it last longer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 5, 2024
Famous for being used in skin esthetic clinics nationwide, the Alexander Kimsko Royal BB Cream, aka 'Al-Kim BB', is truly something special. I've been using it for over a week now, and it's quite impressive. It offers decent coverage while enhancing your natural complexion. True to its name as an 'ampoule BB cream', the more you use it, the better your skin seems to get - how's that for irony? The texture is a standout feature - just a small amount spreads easily, feeling lightweight yet deeply hydrating. It has a lovely floral rose scent too. What really amazed me was learning that it's so skin-friendly, you can even sleep with it on! It's not just marketing talk - the official manual actually includes instructions for wearing it to bed. Interestingly, Germany, which invented the first BB cream, originally created it for skin protection. This cream is certainly different from the run-of-the-mill BBs that only focus on coverage. Made with ingredients directly imported from Germany, it helps cover wrinkles, reduces skin irritation from UV rays, and even provides a soothing effect. It's the perfect SOS BB cream when you need to wear makeup but your sensitive skin needs some TLC. The only downside is the high price point, but I suppose that's unavoidable for an esthetic-grade BB cream. If they could lower the price just a bit, I'd use it for life! For those times when you want a bit more coverage, try mixing in a small amount of matte foundation or concealer. This can help boost the coverage while maintaining the cream's beneficial properties. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 4, 2024
I was really curious about this product since the Hwahae Testers said it was gentle enough to sleep in, so I was thrilled to be selected to try it out. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, my face tends to get oily if it's not properly hydrated. However, this product managed to address my deep dryness so well that even after applying powder, my skin didn't become greasy! I was amazed at how it didn't pill even when I hastily applied it with my hands. It naturally evens skin tone, and I'm loving it! It also gently covers pores and blemishes without feeling heavy on the skin, making it perfect for light summer wear. There wasn't really anything I disliked about it, but I suppose it would be nice if it came in different shades, like a pink base or other color options! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 4, 2024
The texture is creamy and thick, yet gentle with excellent adherence. It feels light but covers skin imperfections and evens out the complexion well. What I loved most while using this product is that I used to think BB cream was just makeup, but it actually seems to moisturize my dry skin. I usually use sunscreen and a sebum control product, which sometimes causes dead skin cells to appear around my mouth, but when I apply this over those areas, I don't see any flaking. It feels gentler than sunscreen and gives me the sensation of applying a protective layer on my skin. There's nothing particularly negative about the product itself. It would be nice if there was a similar product with sun-blocking properties. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 4, 2024
When I first squeezed it out, I was worried because it looked thick, but even when applied with my fingers, it spread thinly and evenly. I loved that there were no separate color numbers, making it look natural! I really hate sticky products, but this one sets to a semi-matte finish right away without being drying, which is perfect. I wore it all day without touch-ups, and it didn't darken too much, so it seems great for daily use. So far, I haven't found anything disappointing while using it. I'm satisfied. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 3, 2024
As someone with dry skin lacking both oil and moisture, I tend to be on the drier side except in midsummer. This often leads to makeup clumping or cracking, so I usually just apply a brightening moisturizer. However, trying this BB cream was a pleasant surprise - it's hydrating and natural-looking! I highly recommend it for those with dry skin who want a subtle corrective effect! Application & Texture: It applies incredibly smoothly. Usually, even when I apply makeup thinly, it can feel heavy or clog my pores slightly, but this wasn't the case here. It spreads thinly and smoothly - even those less skilled at makeup application should have no trouble with it. Hydration: As someone with dry skin, I've tried many hydrating formulas! I've found that the right balance of hydration and oil is crucial for long-lasting moisture. This BB cream seems to have struck that perfect balance. It stays hydrating for a long time without feeling greasy. Color: I think a common drawback of BB creams is the grayish cast that develops over time, supposedly to cover redness. That's actually why I switched to foundation. In this regard, I appreciated that this BB cream doesn't develop a gray cast and absorbs naturally into the skin. Healing: Coincidentally, I got a facial injury right when I became a Hwahae Tester. It was a scratch from a baby's nail - those familiar know these can last quite a while. I applied a thicker layer to the red, scratched area to cover the wound. Thankfully, it didn't sting, and the scratch disappeared after about three days. Since it was a wound, I was worried about applying makeup, but knowing this BB cream has regenerative effects, I could apply it without concern! The biggest disappointment was the lack of sun protection. These days, most products include it, so I applied it without thinking and realized it didn't have any SPF. Having to apply sunscreen and BB cream separately was inconvenient, as it meant applying two layers. The color is slightly on the darker side. I have a very fair complexion that usually matches shade 17, so the tone was a bit off when I first applied it. However, it was fine once it spread thinly and absorbed over time. After application, there was quite a bit of residual oil left on my hands. It's essential to wash your hands after use, otherwise you'll leave fingerprints everywhere! You could easily tell where I'd touched things! Rather than dotting it on, try applying it with your index, middle, and ring fingers after spreading it widely on your hand. This allows for a thinner, more natural application! The excellent absorption was particularly great for applying very thinly to areas like around the eyes and nose wings.
