Achieves a natural-looking complexion. Eliminates dullness. The texture is smooth and gentle. When squeezed, it feels like the oil separates on the surface. The fragrance is too artificial and gives me a headache. I won't be able to use it, so I'm planning to give it to my younger sibling. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 6, 2024
The color initially looked ashy on my hand, but thankfully it blended into a natural shade. The actual color was like shade 23 with a hint of gray. It's great for dry skin - you can apply it without skincare prep and it won't look patchy. It's an easy-to-use product that works hard for you. The fragrance is too sharp and overwhelming. It barely covers pores and redness - especially the redness around the nose is still quite visible. I had high hopes because it claimed to be safe to sleep in, but now that I've checked the ingredients... I'm disappointed. It's also pricier than I expected, so I won't be repurchasing. I'll update this if I discover anything new while using it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 5, 2024
- It gives an instant glow when applied - Thanks to the ampoule, you can feel the hydration immediately after application - It absorbs well - Great for when you want a simple skincare routine - this one product does it all! - The fragrance is quite strong. As someone sensitive to scents, this was a downside for me - The shade was a bit dark for me, as I usually use shade 19 - It doesn't cover blemishes, so I'll likely use it for quick, basic skincare - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 5, 2024
This is a review from one of The Hwahae Testers. I used the product from July 1st to July 4th. The texture is that of a regenerating cream, and it absorbs well! I usually find foundation too heavy on my face, so I was excited to try this BB cream when I was selected as a tester. It has an incredibly hydrating formula, so I wouldn't recommend it for those who dislike a dewy finish. However, I absolutely loved it. Despite having super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes. As I have a fair complexion, I didn't notice a significant brightening effect. When I first opened it, the fragrance was overwhelmingly strong. I think this aspect needs improvement! While it may vary from person to person, I feel the scent is too intense for a cosmetic product, which is disappointing. Perfect for a natural, no-makeup makeup look! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 3, 2024
After a recent trip, my skin became super sensitive, reacting to everything I applied. Irritation: Absolutely zero irritation. To compare, I applied this on one side and another cushion on the other. The other side stung, so I quickly removed it and used this all over. It confirmed how gentle this product truly is. Application: The texture is slightly thick, but it applies smoothly. As you blend it in, you can feel the hydration. Coverage: It doesn't completely hide redness from my sensitive skin, so it's not high coverage. It's more of a natural skin-perfecting effect. Color: I believe there's only one shade available. For me, with a slightly lighter than 21 complexion, it felt a bit dark. However, it works well when paired with a brightening moisturizer. Longevity: I wore this for 10 hours without powder, gaming and drinking outside. Apart from slight oil buildup and minimal creasing in typically dry areas, there was no pilling or flaking. I'd say the staying power is quite good. Scent: It's like a mix of clay and floral notes. I'm not usually sensitive to smells, but this one's not my favorite. Price: Even on sale, it feels a bit expensive. The regular price is downright painful. It would be hard to repurchase at full price. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 2, 2024
- I used it about three times before stopping. This is the first time I've discontinued a product while being part of The Hwahae Testers. - With skin tone 22-23, it matched my complexion naturally. It was like applying a brightening moisturizer. It evened out my skin texture nicely. - Perhaps because my skin is usually quite dry, I didn't achieve the glowing skin that others mentioned in their reviews. For me, the finish was what I'd describe as semi-matte. I was satisfied with this finish as it's suitable for summer. - Overall, I have no intention of purchasing this with my own money. I'll mention who I might recommend this to in the tips section below. - It has an artificial rose scent. While I generally dislike fragranced products, this felt like the strongest I've experienced recently. When I first applied it, the scent was so intense it gave me a headache and made me dizzy. When I got in the car wearing it, the scent seemed even stronger in the enclosed space, causing motion sickness. After that, I gave up on using it again. - It doesn't have sun protection. Normally, I don't mind if a product lacks SPF as I can apply sunscreen separately, but I did miss having it built-in. However, if it did include sun protection, it couldn't claim to be 'safe to sleep in'. - It's expensive Considering it doesn't offer sun protection, doesn't provide high coverage, doesn't give my skin a glow, has an overpowering scent, and comes with a high price tag, I wouldn't consider purchasing it. *Recommended for* - Those who don't mind strong fragrances - Those curious to try a product they haven't used before - For late night or weekend scenarios when a crush or new boyfriend unexpectedly shows up at your door Ideal for those wanting a product that evens out skin tone and texture while still allowing some blemishes to show through, perfect for that 'Oh my, I'm bare-faced, how embarrassing~' moment - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
Advantages: - Exceptional hydration compared to similar products - Decent coverage - sufficient for a complete base makeup if you don't have many blemishes - Smooth, easily spreadable texture that glides on well with fingers - Doesn't feel heavy even with multiple layers Areas for improvement: - The rose-like scent is quite strong and artificial, lingering longer than expected. This might be polarizing depending on age group - The shade leans slightly dark, potentially appearing a bit dull on lighter skin tones (19-20 in Korean shades) Perfect for quick errands or gym sessions when you want to avoid a bare face. Would pair well with a concealer for enhanced results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
The shade is slightly darker than my natural complexion, which allows for a more natural-looking makeup application. First off, this product has an overwhelmingly strong scent that reminds me of old-fashioned cosmetics. Based on the fragrance alone, I can't imagine the ingredients are of high quality. I'll struggle to use this consistently due to the smell. Additionally, it's disappointing that it lacks sun protection. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 26, 2024
[Skin type: Light 21 tone / Combination dehydrated skin] Heart: It's moisturizing and absorbs well. The texture felt heavy, but I was surprised how lightly it applied to my skin. It's easy to apply, just like sunscreen. Heart: Coverage is average. However, I wasn't expecting incredible coverage from a regenerating BB cream, so I was satisfied. It covers light blemishes, making it perfect for a natural makeup look. Heart: It blends well with brightening moisturizers. Since the color is a bit dark, I mixed it to match my skin tone and it looked natural. The scent is stronger than expected, which I personally didn't like. So I probably won't use it before bed, but only when going out. For light 21 tone skin, it's a bit dark. It would be better if color selection was available. However, this issue can be resolved by mixing it with other products. Mixing it with sunscreen or foundation and then setting with powder increases its longevity. It could be useful when you need to wear makeup despite your skin not being in its best condition! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 24, 2024
I was selected as one of The Hwahae Testers, so I'm leaving a review. I have sensitive, dry, and blemish-prone skin! I was already using Cell Fusion C BB cream, but I was looking for a BB cream that was less irritating, lightweight, and wouldn't oxidize. That's when I saw Alexander Kim's Co BB cream on the event page and was thrilled to see it again after so long! I used this product about 10 years ago when I was going to an esthetic salon. They introduced it as a regenerating BB cream, which was fascinating. I had forgotten about it, but back then I was younger and preferred products with more noticeable coverage. Now, 10 years later, using this product again, I find it wonderfully natural while evening out my complexion. It's so lightweight, which I actually prefer now! The texture is viscous but not sticky, and it applies very lightly, almost like water! It's perfect for those who want more than a bare face after sunscreen but don't want heavy makeup, or for those with blemish-prone skin who need a gentle, daily BB cream. I don't have many complaints, but if I had to mention something, it would be the scent. There's a very strong artificial rose fragrance that might be uncomfortable for those sensitive to smells. Also, don't expect much in terms of coverage... The focus seems to be more on being gentle and regenerative rather than providing coverage! Applying it with a spatula can prevent patchy application and allows for thin, even layers, resulting in a more natural skin appearance!
