While the coverage is just okay, it's great for daily use. It's more moisturizing than typical cushion foundations. It tends to transfer a bit, but I didn't feel the need to reapply. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinJul 8, 2024
✔️Texture The formula has a moisturizing feel, like foundation mixed with an ampoule. However, contrary to its appearance, it's quite thick and creamy, so I applied it to my face with my hands and then blended it out using a cushion puff. ✔️Coverage The before and after difference is so clear, you can easily tell which is which! The coverage is much better than expected. I thought it would be like a regenerating BB cream, but it's not far off from a regular foundation. Even when I used it on irritated skin, it significantly reduced redness and easily concealed small blemishes, as you can see in the photo. The coverage is comparable to my usual cushion foundation! For such a hydrating product, this level of coverage is impressive. ✔️Scent Well... it smells just like the BB creams my mom used when I was young. But it's not overpowering, and considering how well it performs, it's not a big issue. ✔️Overall impression + TMI I usually never go out bare-faced, but I often felt reluctant to put on makeup just for the gym. So I thought I'd use this casually for workouts, like sunscreen. However, after using it, I'm quite satisfied and think it would be great for everyday use too! For reference, I usually use Hera Black Cushion in 21N and have light undertone, 22 shade skin. My complexion has quite a bit of yellow for a cool tone. So pink-based foundations often create a noticeable line between my face and neck, while yellow-based ones can look dull. But this product has a slight redness that gives my skin a natural, bright look. While my usual cushion sometimes lacks radiance, this product immediately made my skin look brighter! It's not too white either - I think it's the beautiful glow that creates this effect. I actually had low expectations, which is why I'm so satisfied now. The only downside is that due to its moisturizing formula, some transfer is inevitable. To mitigate this, I'd recommend avoiding touching your face and setting it with powder. It has a beautiful, shimmering glow, so if you just powder the outer parts of your face or areas you usually set, your skin texture looks amazing! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 5, 2024
First off, despite some reviews saying it has almost no coverage, I personally found it exceeded my expectations! It covered blemishes and even slightly evened out my skin tone, which was a pleasant surprise. The scent wasn't particularly bothersome. The product description says it's fine to sleep with it on, and given its texture, which is very similar to a regular BB cream, I wonder if that's really okay... haha! I guess that speaks to how gentle it is, right? Since I just opened it today and used it for the first time, I can't say for certain if it will cause any blemishes, but my initial impression is that it shouldn't be a problem! The texture is a bit thick, making it slightly challenging to apply with fingers. Despite this, it adhered to the skin quite well! I think it would blend into the skin perfectly if applied with a damp sponge. Oh, and it seems to transfer a bit, which was a bit disappointing. I think using a setting spray would help with this issue! As I mentioned in the downsides, I'd recommend using a damp sponge when applying it to your face, and then following up with a setting spray once you're done. Oh, and thank you for my first opportunity to be part of The Hwahae Testers! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 5, 2024
It's moisturizing, covers pores well, and has good staying power. Even with a light application, it provides excellent coverage, making my skin feel comfortable. I'm using shade 21, and it blends seamlessly with my complexion. I've finally found a BB cream that doesn't cake up after a long time! While I can't say there's absolutely no emphasis on dead skin cells, it's really minimal. There's some inevitable transfer. Since the SPF is a bit low, I recommend applying sunscreen underneath and then layering this on top. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 4, 2024
Texture and formula: It feels like a rich hydrating cream. At first, I thought it might be too thick, but it spreads surprisingly well. Applying it feels like putting on a clay mask, which is oddly satisfying. Pros: It's so moisturizing that even those with dry or very dry skin won't experience flaking. (I have dry skin that flakes even with Lancôme's Teint Miracle foundation, known for its hydrating properties, but this didn't flake at all, even without any skincare prep - that's what I'm most satisfied with). It creates a natural skin-like finish that blends seamlessly with my complexion. (Initially, I thought it might look dull, so I mixed it with other cushions, but I've come to love the natural look it gives on its own). The tube packaging makes it easy to control the amount, and I find myself reaching for it often. It grows on you over time, and my skin feels comfortable. Recommended for: Those with dry or very dry skin, people who prefer a natural skin-like finish, and those who prioritize hydration over coverage. +The tissue photo shows how it looks when wiped off firmly. If I had to pick a downside, it would be the transfer. However, if you've chosen this for its moisturizing properties, it's a trade-off you can live with. The price might be a concern. Despite its clear strengths and unique features, I initially didn't plan to repurchase. But the more I use it, the more I like it, so it seems worth it. For the best application, spread it with your fingers and then pat with a puff for a skin-adhering finish. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 2, 2024
This review is based on my experience using this product for over 24 hours, including sleeping, wearing a mask, and touching up my makeup. I recommend it for those with similar skin types to mine. Skin type: Combination dehydrated / Oily / Super sensitive / Blemishes / Pores / Warm tone 📍 Summary: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Makes skin look great! Or maybe my skin actually improved...? ❤️ Pros: It's amazing that you can sleep with it on, plus it's good for your skin! ❌ Cons: So hydrating that hair sticks to it (powder is a must) - Received on: 2024.06.28 (opened and started using) - Texture: Feels like a hydrating moisturizer - Hydration: So moisturizing you might mistake it for a hydrating cream - Absorption: Feels like it absorbs smoothly as you spread it - Moisturizing power: Usually my makeup breaks down after 5 hours, but not with this product - Application: Spreads easily with just your hands, like a cream - Longevity: Used for over 24 hours, even while sleeping, and it stayed moisturizing without looking messy - actually made my skin look better - Blemishes: Sleeping with BB cream on? Sounds terrible, but I had no breakouts and my skin even got a glow! - Scent: Smells like expensive skincare, which I liked (I'm not sensitive to fragrances) - Caking & Creasing: Didn't notice any at all - Brightening: Evens skin tone so naturally, as if it's my real complexion - Mask-wearing: Leaves less noticeable marks compared to foundation or powder. If marks appear, they absorb back into the skin when rubbed - perfect for frequent mask-wearers - Touch-ups: Easy to reapply with fingers on areas where makeup tends to wear off, like forehead, nose, and chin, without caking - As a sleeping pack: This is a game-changer! I often work late, so I apply this before work, work overnight, sleep, and head home in the morning - my skin looks amazing! I want to use it every day now when I go to work Cons: - Transfer: As it's a BB cream combining moisturizer, soothing cream, and coverage, its hydrating nature means some transfer is unavoidable - Coverage: Not recommended for those with lots of blemishes. It gives a natural, pretty tone correction, but might be too natural for those wanting blemish coverage - Darkening: The typical BB cream color darkening isn't noticeable immediately, but appears after about 5 hours as the product breaks down - Finish: So hydrating that others might mistake the glow for sweat - Sebum: If worn for long periods, oil may surface in the T-zone, which could be considered a drawback ⭐️ Powder Since it's as hydrating as a moisturizer, finishing with powder after application makes it look cleaner and last longer. ⭐️ Recommended for indoor use Expecting sun protection would be asking too much, right? There's no UV protection, so make sure to apply sunscreen first! ⭐️ Recommended for these situations: When exercising and sweating Working while wearing a mask Frequent overtime work Business trips When your skin needs a break from irritation When you want a break from frequent makeup use After laser treatments when skin is sensitive During your period when breakouts are common Planning an all-nighter with friends at a vacation rental When you want to pretend you're bare-faced but actually have some coverage Studying all day at the library - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
I tried this as part of The Hwahae Testers program. I usually wear light makeup, just applying a thin layer of cushion foundation, and only use regular foundation for full-face looks. This is the first time I've used a BB cream since my student days, and it really brings back that nostalgic feeling. Texture: Thick and creamy. Sensitivity: I have super sensitive skin, but this didn't cause any blemishes, so I'd say it's quite gentle. Color: It looks natural on my #23 complexion. It doesn't quite match up to foundation in terms of coverage and adherence to the skin. As a result, there's some transfer and it can leave fingerprints. As a BB cream, it's great for achieving a light and natural skin look. Since it has a rich texture, it's best to apply it in thin layers, using small amounts at a time for a more natural finish. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
Despite not having an overly thin consistency, it spreads easily and provides a natural-looking complexion that's quite nice. For me, the shade felt slightly dark. It might suit those who usually use shades 22-23. Also, the coverage was a bit lacking, and it transferred quite easily. If I absentmindedly touched my face, it would always come off. Moreover, the price is on the higher side. It seems essential to set this BB cream with powder after application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 26, 2024
The texture is thick yet easy to apply, making it very comfortable to spread. I had no issues applying it with my fingers. The slight coverage makes it perfect for a foundation-free makeup look. As a BB cream with soothing properties, I loved that it didn't irritate my skin even after popping pimples. It has great staying power, but on particularly sweaty days, a light touch-up works wonders. It does transfer a bit, so when using it for nighttime skincare, make sure to sleep on a towel. As I have very sensitive eyes, I experienced slight eye irritation. It's fine if you avoid the eye area when applying. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 25, 2024
As someone who's only used BB creams for base makeup, I was curious to try this product. Back in school, BB creams like E*ude or Dr. J*rt were just... well, they screamed 'I'm wearing makeup!' This regenerating BB cream with skincare benefits always intrigued me. The color wasn't ashy, but more of a reddish earth tone. I almost gave up when I saw it looked like clear ivory in the photos. With my sensitive, combination dehydrated skin prone to dead skin cells and large pores, I applied a thin layer with a Picasso spatula and patted it in with an Espoir puff. The glow is insane - truly worthy of the 'ampoule BB' title. It makes your skin look incredibly good with a radiant sheen. Despite my skin looking messy due to severe redness, acne scars, and large pores, the darker shade impressively evened out my complexion. However, it does make the overall skin tone appear quite dark - probably lighter than shade 23. After application, the surface feels sticky, causing hair to stick and leave marks when it comes off. It's not a product that sets firmly, so that's understandable. I initially thought I wouldn't use it often due to the color and transfer issues. However, it turned out to be the perfect choice for my skin after laser treatment. I applied it thinly with a spatula and blended with a regular sponge (not a cushion puff) as if applying sunscreen. It looks like my real skin without any shine or transfer (though this might be due to my tanned summer skin). Mixing in a drop of brightening moisturizer or brushing on some color-correcting powder makes it perfect - no touch-ups needed, and it stays put for 8 hours looking like my bare skin. The reddish tone remains, which is a bit disappointing. Only one shade available, which is reddish and dark. Sticky texture that transfers and fades easily. Powder is a must.
