1. Natural and transparent coverage At first, I thought it had that typical BB cream grayish tint, but as I spread it on my skin, it blended into a natural color. Those with lighter skin than shade 21 might find it a bit dark, but it creates a very natural, healthy, and even complexion. 2. Gentle on the skin and seems to improve it I was skeptical about the claim that you could sleep with it on. But surprisingly, even after wearing it for a long time, no blemishes appeared. In fact, after cleansing, my skin felt softer and improved. It's as if it balances the oil and moisture in your skin. 3. Non-drying and hydrating formula (especially recommended for winter!) It has a super hydrating finish, so there's no feeling of tightness or heaviness on the skin at all! This product is great for use in dry weather. 1. The very hydrating formula can feel sticky Some people might even find it feels greasy. If you only apply this without setting powder, your hair will really stick to your face. 2. No sun protection While wearing just this product makes your skin feel like it can breathe and causes no irritation, you still need to apply sunscreen underneath. This somewhat diminishes the product's unique benefits. When going out, apply the product and then lightly dab some no-sebum powder only on areas that tend to get too shiny! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinJul 4, 2024
First off, this was my introduction to BB cream, and I'm thrilled to say it exceeded my expectations! The texture isn't too thick, making it easy to apply and blend with just my fingers. As someone with a complexion matching shade 22, I found it wasn't too dark, which made it perfect for those 'no-makeup makeup' days. It's also become my go-to for traveling with my boyfriend - I can wear it to bed without worrying about revealing my bare face in the morning! The color isn't particularly flattering, and it might appear a bit dark for those with lighter skin tones. As time passes, it tends to get a bit oily. Another minor inconvenience is the need to apply sunscreen separately, which some might find bothersome. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 3, 2024
As someone with dry skin lacking both oil and moisture, I tend to be on the drier side except in midsummer. This often leads to makeup clumping or cracking, so I usually just apply a brightening moisturizer. However, trying this BB cream was a pleasant surprise - it's hydrating and natural-looking! I highly recommend it for those with dry skin who want a subtle corrective effect! Application & Texture: It applies incredibly smoothly. Usually, even when I apply makeup thinly, it can feel heavy or clog my pores slightly, but this wasn't the case here. It spreads thinly and smoothly - even those less skilled at makeup application should have no trouble with it. Hydration: As someone with dry skin, I've tried many hydrating formulas! I've found that the right balance of hydration and oil is crucial for long-lasting moisture. This BB cream seems to have struck that perfect balance. It stays hydrating for a long time without feeling greasy. Color: I think a common drawback of BB creams is the grayish cast that develops over time, supposedly to cover redness. That's actually why I switched to foundation. In this regard, I appreciated that this BB cream doesn't develop a gray cast and absorbs naturally into the skin. Healing: Coincidentally, I got a facial injury right when I became a Hwahae Tester. It was a scratch from a baby's nail - those familiar know these can last quite a while. I applied a thicker layer to the red, scratched area to cover the wound. Thankfully, it didn't sting, and the scratch disappeared after about three days. Since it was a wound, I was worried about applying makeup, but knowing this BB cream has regenerative effects, I could apply it without concern! The biggest disappointment was the lack of sun protection. These days, most products include it, so I applied it without thinking and realized it didn't have any SPF. Having to apply sunscreen and BB cream separately was inconvenient, as it meant applying two layers. The color is slightly on the darker side. I have a very fair complexion that usually matches shade 17, so the tone was a bit off when I first applied it. However, it was fine once it spread thinly and absorbed over time. After application, there was quite a bit of residual oil left on my hands. It's essential to wash your hands after use, otherwise you'll leave fingerprints everywhere! You could easily tell where I'd touched things! Rather than dotting it on, try applying it with your index, middle, and ring fingers after spreading it widely on your hand. This allows for a thinner, more natural application! The excellent absorption was particularly great for applying very thinly to areas like around the eyes and nose wings. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
My skin type is combination with an oily T-zone! The formula isn't heavy, and it makes my skin look absolutely beautiful! Even when I sweat, it doesn't break down and still looks pretty. While I'm not sensitive to fragrances, this one isn't too strong. It's perfect for those days when you're too lazy or busy to do a full face - just slap it on and go! I don't consider my skin particularly sensitive, but on days when my skin is extra oily, I notice some blemishes popping up. I think regularly removing excess oil throughout the day could help prevent blemishes and keep your skin looking great! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 28, 2024
As someone who usually uses shade 21, I found this slightly darker, but I didn't mind as it's typical for BB creams. It wasn't one of those BB creams with an extreme ashy undertone either. The coverage isn't as high as foundation, but it provides a natural-looking cover that's perfect for daily use. It was great for those rushed mornings before work. True to BB cream nature, it has excellent absorbs and feels great on the skin. It's not thick or heavy, but glides on smoothly, making it easy to blend with foundation too. The ingredients are skin-friendly, making it comfortable to wear. I didn't experience any irritation, blemishes, or other skin issues. As someone with oily skin, I did notice a bit of richness, and some darkening of the product over time. It's a shame that it doesn't have sun protection, so you definitely need to apply sunscreen beforehand. However, when you consider that the ingredients are so gentle you could use it as an overnight mask, it makes sense. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
It has a gentle feel and feels like a nourishing cream. The absorption is also good. It would be great to use as coverage when visiting the dermatologist. The color might be hit or miss for some people as it's a bit dark, but I found it works well when mixed with a brightening moisturizer. Also, when applied on its own, you won't need to do too much cleansing! However, it's a bit oily. If you have oily skin, you'll definitely need to use a matte finish or powder with it. The coverage isn't exceptional - think of it more as a BB cream for dermatologist visits. It's that gentle and natural-looking. One downside is that it's a bit dark, which might cause darkening. There's no sun protection, so you'll need to apply sunscreen with it! It doesn't have sun protection and it's a bit dark, so I apply it together with a brightening moisturizer with SPF. Use it when you're visiting the dermatologist! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
I've always thought BB creams were thick and heavy, so I never used them. But this product's texture is so gentle, you could even use it as a sleeping pack! It's wonderfully hydrating, and while the coverage might be a bit light, it's perfect for a natural, sheer makeup look. Unfortunately, when I tried it as a sleeping pack, I woke up with extremely oily skin. Not sure why that happened! However, it works great when applied in the morning before work and lasts well until I cleanse in the evening. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 27, 2024
This product is truly excellent for sensitive skin. Among all the base makeup products I've tried, this one has the best absorption. It sinks in smoothly, like applying a high-quality moisturizer. I often experience a cooling sensation, similar to applying menthol, when using sunscreen alone. With foundation, if I wear it for too long, I tend to get blemishes. So when my skin is particularly sensitive, I often skip both sunscreen and foundation, opting for just cushion compact. However, this BB cream is even less irritating than cushion compacts, which I find very satisfying. Even after wearing it all day, not only did I not experience any blemishes, but my skin actually seemed to improve. I have severe redness on my forehead and cheeks, making me self-conscious about going bare-faced. This product applies smoothly to these areas, which I really appreciate. The baby powder scent is also pleasant. Although it's darker than my natural skin tone, there's no darkening effect. In fact, it seems to brighten my complexion over time. I'm so satisfied that I've become one of the Hwahae Testers, and I definitely plan to purchase this product in the future. I have fair skin, about shade 19. Like most BB creams, this one is quite dark, so I can't apply it generously all over my face. I have to squeeze out a pearl-sized amount and apply it thinly everywhere except my nose and chin. Then I have to layer a thin coat of cushion compact that matches my skin tone to adjust the color. Also, it's a bit rich, so as someone with oily skin, I need to blot off some excess oil with a tissue at the end. Still, the pros far outweigh the cons, making this product essential for those with extremely sensitive skin. For those with sensitive skin who also struggle with redness or blemishes, it's beneficial to apply a thin second layer over those areas. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 26, 2024
I have extremely dry skin, prominent eye wrinkles, and a slightly grayish complexion. This was my first time using a BB cream, and as I'd heard, it did have a grayish tint. It looked a bit darker when applied to my hand! However, after applying a thin first layer and waiting a bit, it blended naturally with my skin! It's so hydrating that it minimized the creasing around my eyes (though some creasing is inevitable when using eyeshadow). When it first arrived, I thought the amount was too small, but as I've been using it sparingly, I now think it's a reasonable size. In my experience, there wasn't much darkening. I prefer light makeup, so I applied it thinly. Over time, instead of feeling like it was disappearing, it seemed to meld with my skin, harmonizing with my natural complexion without making it noticeably darker! *The first photo shows when I used too much, not knowing the right amount! I applied it that way to see the color difference before blending, so please use it just for reference. When I first used it, it was so grayish that I felt like I was looking at a hard-boiled egg. There was a slightly oily feeling, but after blending with a puff, only the moisturizing effect remained, which was fine. You can apply it in thin layers and build up coverage! As it's a BB cream, you can't expect heavy coverage, but it can even out your complexion, giving your face a more polished look. - Hwahae UserOily SkinJun 24, 2024
I absolutely hate anything that's a hassle. This product is amazing - after washing my face, I just apply toner, sunscreen, and then quickly smooth this on with my hands. There's no pilling, it provides a bit of coverage, and even evens out my complexion. I don't think I've ever been able to get ready for going out this quickly before. There have even been times when I was in a real rush and just washed my face and applied this product before heading out. True to its name as a 'regenerating BB cream', it must have great ingredients because my skin never feels tight or dry. I think this is going to become my holy grail product. For my oily skin, it feels a bit rich. Also, I experienced some eye irritation initially, though it did go away after a few days. Those with super sensitive skin might want to be cautious. And while the product is good, I feel it's a bit on the pricey side.
