When applied, you can feel a bit of richness, but as you pat it in, it seems to coat the skin, creating a glow and leaving it incredibly hydrated. After absorption, there's a slight stickiness when touched, which seems to indicate its strong moisturizing effect. Scent: It's nearly fragrance-free. There's a very faint scent that seems to come from the cosmetic ingredients rather than added perfume. Unless you put it right up to your nose, you'll hardly notice any scent at all. Recommended Skin Types: This cream is perfect for combination dehydrated skin and dry skin types. It's ideal for those with an imbalanced oil and moisture levels, as it provides definite hydration while seeming to strengthen the skin. Even with my super sensitive skin, I experienced no itching or tingling - my skin felt comfortable and moisturized.
ConsApart from the small size, I found absolutely nothing to complain about.

I've been using Zeroid Soothing Cream and Rich Cream for years, so I trusted this product too. My skin is extremely sensitive, thin, and prone to redness, making it difficult to find a suitable cream. However, this one worked well without causing any blemishes on my sensitive skin. I particularly liked its slightly thick texture and unscented formula. Due to the cold weather, my cheeks were getting red, but after applying this cream over my usual one before bed, I felt it calmed my skin quickly.
ConsUsing it alone might not provide enough hydration, so I think it's better to apply it over your regular essence and cream routine for optimal results.
TipIt might be even more effective if you apply a thicker layer on areas of concern.

I had this preconception that balm types would just sit on the skin, not absorb well, and feel too rich. So even in winter, if my skin felt dry, I'd just layer on regular cream twice and call it a day. But this time, I got the chance to try the Zeroid Intensive Cream! I often sleep with my makeup on, once to thrice a week, because I'm lazy... But last Saturday, I hadn't removed my makeup for 48 hours straight, and suddenly got 5 blemishes. I frantically opened this cream and applied it as an SOS treatment. Honestly, as soon as I applied it, I blurted out 'What?' It's truly a balm, but after spreading it two or three times, it absorbed right away! It locks in hydration perfectly, has just the right amount of richness, and doesn't feel greasy or sticky at all. The texture isn't thin, but I'm amazed at how quickly it absorbs. The angry red blemishes had turned yellow by the next day. Thanks to this, they calmed down quickly and didn't get worse. Phew, what a relief! I've always wanted to try Zeroid cream since it's famous for being sold in dermatology clinics. It really lives up to its reputation! It's incredibly comfortable and calms the skin quickly. It's become my go-to SOS product. These days, I'm in trouble because I trust it so much that I'm removing my makeup even less often. Of course, it's better to cleanse your face thoroughly every day before applying!
ConsThe only downside is that I wish I'd found this sooner, it's so good! It's perfect for use from winter to early spring, during seasonal changes, and in autumn. In summer, it would be great for those with dry skin! For other skin types, applying a thin layer as a protective barrier might work well too. It's not irritating and extremely gentle.
TipIt works even better if you apply your usual soothing cream, light cream, or everyday cream, and then layer the Zeroid Intensive on top!

Texture As the product name suggests, I expected a 'balm' type that would be thick and rich. I was worried it might pill depending on how it's applied, but! After using it, I found the texture to be between a rich balm and a thin cream, making it easier to apply than expected! 2. Ingredients I think many of you know Zeroid as a dermatological brand. I expected the products from this brand to have good ingredients and be non-irritating, and after using it, I didn't experience any blemishes or hives. Trustworthy ingredients! 3. Packaging Many balm-type products come in glass jars requiring a spatula, but this one comes in a tube, making it convenient to use and lightweight, which is great!
Cons1. Amount Even though I only use it at night, because it's more of a thin cream type than expected, I find myself using more of it compared to regular balm products. Given that, the product amount seems small, so I'm not sure if I'll repurchase. 2. Hydration For extremely dry skin in winter, the hydration feels a bit weak.
TipIt's not suitable for use before morning makeup, so I recommend applying it in the evening.

First off, the texture is firm when squeezed out, not runny, which aligns with the ointment-like description. However, it spreads incredibly smoothly upon contact with the skin and absorbs well, which I found quite impressive! Personally, I didn't notice any particular scent while using this product, so I don't think it'll be a polarizing factor. I actually preferred the lack of any strange odor. The product itself isn't too oily or drying. It seems to have gentle ingredients, as when I had 2-3 small blemishes on my chin, applying this before bed resulted in one of them subsiding by the next morning, which I was quite satisfied with. Also, during a week of use, I didn't experience any new breakouts, though I'm not certain if this is due to this product or my regular skincare routine.
ConsAs many others have mentioned, the 40ml size feels a bit small. Even when applying small amounts to specific areas, it seems like it'll run out quickly, which is disappointing. Additionally, after about a week of use, I'm not entirely convinced that my skin barrier has become significantly stronger. It's a bit ambiguous, you could say. For example, my sister, who has redness-prone skin, used the product along with me, but as I'm writing this review, her redness remains unchanged from before use. It's hard to tell if this is because the usage period has been too short, or if we need to use it for longer to see results.
TipFor those needing overall skin barrier reinforcement, it might be okay to apply this all over the face. However, I found it more effective to first apply my regular ampoule and cream, then use this product only on areas that need extra barrier strengthening, rather than relying on this product alone for the entire face.

It's a brand I'd never used before, so I'm glad I got to know it through this chance. I have combination dehydrated skin that tends to lose a lot of moisture in winter due to indoor heating. This product really helps soothe irritated skin. Given its balm-like texture, it feels more dense and rich than a regular cream. When applied, it seems to fill in and nourish the skin deeply. Personally, I prefer to use up opened cosmetics quickly, so I appreciated that the quantity wasn't too large.
ConsWhile I don't mind the scent as I'm not a fan of artificial fragrances, those who prefer more aromatic products might find it hit or miss.

In winter, my arms and legs get extremely dry and itchy in patches, so I applied it mainly to these areas. I could definitely feel it soothing and protecting my irritated skin while being gentle. Rather than during the day, I applied it before bed, and when I woke up in the morning, my skin felt soft and had less dead skin cells! On days when my face felt extremely tight, I squeezed out a tiny amount, about the size of a dot, and applied it thinly. Even with this small amount, the rich texture provided sufficient hydration. It's truly a thick, rich balm, so I couldn't use it daily, but it's great to apply like a sleeping cream over just toner when your skin needs a break! I mainly applied it to my knees and arms, and it was great for calming sensitive, chicken skin-like bumps. After sleeping with this on, my skin definitely became softer and the itching disappeared! This would be perfect for those with super sensitive skin who can't use just anything, people with atopic dermatitis, and even babies or pregnant women.
ConsIf I had to nitpick, maybe the small quantity could be seen as a downside. To be honest, I haven't really found anything significantly disappointing about it yet. If I had to mention something, perhaps the quantity and price?? It's not extremely expensive, but somehow... there's just a slight feeling of... something lacking in terms of the price point.
TipFor combination dehydrated or oily skin (face), I recommend using just toner and emulsion, or toner, essence, and ampoule, then applying a tiny dot of the balm spread thinly! For those with sensitive body skin, I also recommend using it on your body!

Scent: The fragrance is so mild it's barely noticeable, so it won't cause headaches! Texture: Slightly ointment-like consistency mixed with a moisturizing cream feel. It's similar in texture to the A***barrier cream from E***tra! Absorption: While I didn't experience an intense cooling effect or a surge of hydration, the areas where I applied it felt noticeably softer to the touch. (It left a kind of velvety finish?) Application: It has a rich consistency and feels like an ointment, so it's a bit thick when applying. Usage area: I have an extremely dry area on my neck that gets itchy and red. After applying this cream consistently for about a week, the itchiness disappeared and my skin condition improved significantly.
ConsTexture: The thick consistency makes it somewhat challenging to apply by hand. Price: Considering the price, the quantity seems rather small. Effectiveness: It doesn't provide dramatic results immediately. Consistent use is necessary for noticeable improvements.
TipFor best results, apply frequently to areas that are red from scratching or extremely dry, and add an extra layer before bedtime.

It's more hydrating than the Zeroid Soothing Cream I've used before. Given its rich formula, it's better used as a moisturizer topper rather than alone, as suggested. Despite being a balm, it absorbs well!
ConsLike La Roche-Posay B5, it can feel a bit heavy and warm when applied all over, making it challenging to use on the entire face. I've been using it as a spot treatment on blemishes instead. Personally, I'm not sure about its soothing effects. It might work well for those who are used to ointment-like textures such as Bepanthen or B5 creams.

I heard I needed a moisturizing barrier cream, so I tried the Zeroid Plus Balm from The Hwahae Testers for about 10 days. Here's my review! Texture: I expected a thick balm, but it's more of a rich cream texture that absorbs well. Absorption: I was worried a moisturizing balm wouldn't absorb well, as I'm used to hydrating creams. But it was fine! The finish isn't sticky, so even in winter, those with combination dehydrated skin could use a small amount in the morning. I layered toner > hydrating cream > a thin layer of Zeroid balm, let it absorb a bit, then applied makeup without much pilling. Hydration: This was what I was most excited about! As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I always use a hydrating moisturizer. Applying a thin layer of Zeroid balm on top felt like it created an extra protective barrier to lock in moisture. It's great as a final step in your winter skincare routine.
ConsThe value for money is a bit disappointing. The amount you get for the price is quite small...
TipFor those with combination dehydrated skin, I recommend layering toner, serum, and a hydrating cream to pack in moisture, then finishing with a thin layer of this product!
