When winter comes, my arms and legs become extremely dry and itchy in spots. I applied this primarily to those areas, and it definitely felt gentle yet protective for my irritated skin. I used it at night before bed, and in the morning, my skin felt soft and supple, with less flaking. On days when my face felt really tight, I squeezed out just a tiny dot and spread it thinly - even that small amount provided sufficient moisture, thanks to the rich formula. While I can't use it daily due to its thick, rich texture, it's great to use occasionally when my skin needs a break. I'll just apply the Hwahae after my toner and use it like a sleeping pack. I mainly used it on my knees and arms, and it really helped with the bumpy, sensitive skin. After using it overnight, the itchiness went away and my skin felt smoother. This would be great for those with sensitive skin, eczema, as well as for babies and pregnant women.
ConsWell, I suppose the quantity being a bit low is a bit of a shame haha. To be honest, I don't think I've felt any major disappointment so far. If I had to pick something, it would probably be the quantity and the price?? It's not outrageously expensive, but there's still a bit of a lingering sense of something being a bit off about the price range, you know? haha
TipHwahae, for normal to dry skin (face), we recommend just using a toner and lotion or a toner and essence ampoule, and then applying a tiny amount, dotting it on your face like stars, in the evening. For those with sensitive body skin, we also recommend applying it to your body.

It's good to use in the dry winter as it's a night type, and it seems to work well in spring and fall when applied thinly. It might be difficult to use in the summer as it's a night cream. Moisturization: I used a light moisturizing cream when applying makeup, and only applied it at night, and it remained moisturized until the next day, so my makeup went on well. Spreadability and absorption: Compared to La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5, Zeroid had better spreadability. It felt richer than the Baume, and I could apply it thinly without any white cast. It absorbed quickly, so it was easy to layer. Soothing: I originally had some redness, but the redness significantly improved after using the Zeroid SOS Baume. A few small bumps appeared on my forehead, but the improvement in redness was more noticeable, so I can use it without much concern.
ConsThe price is disappointing compared to the quantity. I applied the product generously on the areas that needed soothing, but it was used up quickly. If you are disappointed by the small bumps coming up, that is an area of concern. The main effects seem to be redness soothing and barrier strengthening, but it does not appear to be very effective for the small bumps.
TipApplying Hwahae to the areas that need soothing can quickly calm the skin.

I also use the Zeroid cream, which feels like it provides a protective layer on top.
ConsThe size was a bit small, so I mixed it with cream and applied it.
TipApplying it together with cream or lotion seems to create a protective layer, and it's good.

Many people around me also use them, so I don't hesitate to use any of their product lines. The emulsion is on the thinner side, but the dense texture provides great moisture retention, so both the usage experience and the hydration were excellent. I think it would be great to bring it with you when traveling, and it can also be used thinly before makeup application.
ConsThere are no disappointing aspects. I'm a bit sensitive, but Zeroide also has no troubles or irritation whatsoever.

This time, I was selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer, so I got to try the SOS Balm as well. The texture is thick and ointment-like, with an oily feel, so it's best to apply a thin layer on the needed areas for someone with oily skin like me. While using the product, I noticed two effects: 1. Acne soothing - I sometimes get pimples, and when I applied the product on a pimple on my chin that was red and swollen, even without touching it, it started subsiding the next day. The mark remained, but it improved in two days. I should have taken before and after photos, but unfortunately I didn't. 2. Redness improvement - Recently, my cheeks have been getting red due to the dry indoor environment and heating. I applied a thin layer in the evening, and the next day, the redness was significantly less, and I didn't feel as much heat.
ConsThe downside is that while the pimple has subsided, the scar remains. It seems I'll have to apply a separate ointment to remove the scar. And to improve the redness, I applied a thin layer on my cheeks in the evening, but when I looked in the mirror before bed, my cheeks had become reddish. I thought it might be a side effect, but it was fine the next day. I'm not sure if I should keep applying it.
TipAmong the instructions, it is also recommended to apply a moisturizer before using it. That seems to be a great tip. And it also seems better to apply it thinly. Although it is expensive compared to the amount, it seems like it will last for a long time.

At that time, I used the cream, and it was quite effective on my child's skin, so I also used the Hwahae Intensive SOS Plus Balm with great expectations. I thought the balm would be extremely thick, but it was better than I expected. I have been using an Aveeno* ointment-type cream, so I felt that the Hwahae balm had better spreadability. It spread smoothly and was quickly absorbed, leaving a moisturized feeling. My skin is sensitive, and these days, anything I apply tends to dry out quickly, but when I used this balm, it felt like a moisturizing film was created. The subtle glow made my skin look healthier and more beautiful.
ConsThe capacity is a bit disappointing. I applied it not only to my face but also to my elbows and knees, and it was quickly used up.
TipNot only the face, but also the elbows, knees, and other dry areas, applying a small amount is good.

Personally, the MD rich cream felt a bit thick, but after applying it, it felt dry and tight. This one, on the other hand, is oily and has more conditioning agents and surfactants than other products, so my skin feels more comfortable. Unless it contains bad ingredients or ingredients that can seriously harm the skin, I would use this over other zero-oid products, as my skin feels more comfortable with it. By the way, I'm not a big fan of Estara and Byeokcheon. They really didn't work for me. If you're someone who doesn't get along with Estara, you might like this product. The texture is just like a thinner version of Biafine. It has a similar feel to Esoro ointment... I'm not usually someone who finds zero-oid products very appealing, but I bought different types to see if I could find one I like. The Pimprove pH4, Soothing, Rich MD, Intensive Ointment, and Intensive. But the SOS balm is the best - it's a great product to fill in the gaps. Oh, and apparently we shouldn't use that cyclohexane stuff, so I'm looking for an alternative for that.
ConsThe downside is... there isn't really any, but the value for money is a bit lacking..? Haha
