I typically have combination dehydrated skin, but in winter it becomes extremely dry, so I'm someone who frequently reapplies moisturizer. Since the balm format itself is much more hydrating, I thought it would be better than my usual moisturizer. At first, I applied the Zeroid balm all over my face instead of my regular cream, but the next day I noticed a small blemish on my forehead. Realizing I might have applied it too thickly, I changed my approach. I started using my regular moisturizer first, then applying a small amount of the Zeroid balm on top. The blemish quickly disappeared, and my skin's hydration was maintained! (If you have super sensitive skin, I recommend starting with a small amount on top of your usual products rather than applying a lot from the beginning!!) Recently, my hands became very rough, so I took before and after photos of my hands. The 'before' photo came out a bit dark, perhaps due to poor focus. Since it's a balm, if you apply it alone without other skincare, it might not fully penetrate. Make sure to apply your full routine from toner to moisturizer before using this. It feels like it creates a protective moisture barrier! The texture is much softer than what you'd expect from a balm - it's somewhere between a moisturizer and a balm. It absorbs well and doesn't feel sticky. It's also fragrance-free. When my son's skin gets dry and itchy, I sometimes apply this on his body too, along with body lotion. It's definitely reduced his scratching. I plan to use it on him regularly in winter if possible. In my opinion, this is a must-have for winter!
ConsThere are no downsides. However, when I unknowingly applied it generously on my face like my usual moisturizer, I got one small blemish. I highly recommend applying it in small amounts as a top layer.
TipYou can also mix it with hand cream or body lotion to maintain deeper hydration than usual.

Now, thanks to being selected for The Hwahae Testers, I got to try their SOS Balm too. The texture is like a thick ointment with a rich feel, so for combination dehydrated skin like mine, it's best to apply a thin layer only where needed. I noticed two main benefits while using this product: 1. Blemish soothing - I occasionally get blemishes, so I applied it to one on my chin. It was red, swollen, and painful even without touching. Surprisingly, after applying it before bed, it started to subside the next day. Within two days, it was much better, though a mark remained. I wish I had taken before and after photos! 2. Redness improvement - Recently, my cheeks have been getting red due to dry indoor air and heating. I was skeptical, but after applying a thin layer in the evening, I noticed significantly less redness and heat the next day.
ConsOne downside is that while the blemish subsided, the scar remained. It seems I'll need a separate scar-removing ointment for that. Also, when I applied a thin layer on my cheeks in the evening for redness, I noticed my cheeks looked even more flushed before bed. I was worried it might be a side effect, but it was fine the next day. I'm not sure if I should continue applying it this way.
TipOne tip from the usage instructions that seems helpful is to apply this after your moisturizer. Also, I found that applying a thin layer works best. While it's pricey for the amount you get, I think it'll last a long time.

This cream has a smooth, lightweight application, yet it feels deeply hydrating, as if it creates a protective moisture barrier on my face.
ConsI'm not sure if it's just my skin, but like the Zeroid cream I was prescribed before, this one doesn't seem to have much effect either. Worse still, on days when I'm a bit tired, I even get blemishes...
TipI love applying this at night, followed by an aloe gel mask, and then a light layer of cream. It's great for replenishing and locking in hydration simultaneously.

Cons- As I have oily skin, it's a bit disappointing that it contains pore-clogging ingredients. Either due to the oiliness or the ingredients, I noticed some small white blemishes appearing. - Given the high price compared to the amount, I might hesitate to purchase it again.
TipI thought this rich emulsion would work as a medium-weight moisturizer, but it couldn't combat deep dryness, leaving my skin feeling parched. You definitely need to use a hydrating cream with this!

The product comes in a balm form with a surprisingly small 40ml size that fits comfortably in one hand. Despite its opaque cream texture, it applies smoothly, contrary to my initial assumption of it being thick. I've been using Atopalm MLE cream from the same company, Neopharm, which has a very thick Greek yogurt-like consistency. In comparison, the Zeroid balm has a texture similar to spoonable yogurt but feels lighter than the MLE cream. After application, it imparts a subtle glow without any greasy feeling and absorbs quickly, leaving the skin hydrated. It reminds me of Bepanthen ointment, minus the oiliness and thickness. The scent is subtle - some might consider it unscented, but to me, it smells like fresh peanuts. It's not bothersome during application. Even when I applied a generous amount due to dry weather, there was no pilling, and it absorbed completely with gentle patting.
ConsConsidering the price, the quantity is quite small. More importantly, it didn't suit my skin at all and completely disrupted my previously good skin condition. Despite its clean and gentle ingredients, I'm not sure what went wrong. This was my first time trying a Zeroid product, and I never expected such a negative reaction.
TipI have extremely sensitive skin that reacts immediately with itching and dermatitis if a product doesn't suit me. Unfortunately, this product caused a severe reaction on my face after just two days of use, forcing me to discontinue it. I had to use a steroid ointment to calm my skin down. It's puzzling why this product doesn't work for me when Atopalm from the same company is fine. I'm disappointed and hesitant to try it again, fearing another flare-up. I might just use it on my body after showering instead.
