It spreads well across the entire face without feeling greasy. In terms of absorption, being a balm, it doesn't absorb as quickly as a moisturizer, but it gets absorbed in less than a minute, so it's not burdensome. As for hydration, since I have combination skin, I felt it provided just the right amount of moisture. However, my T-zone with more sebaceous glands did experience some breakouts. Adjusting the amount used based on individual skin type would likely work better. It is fragrance-free, with only the natural scent of the ingredients, giving the impression that it is focused solely on skin care.
ConsThe product is well-known, but the volume to price ratio is quite disappointing.
TipAreas with many sebaceous glands may benefit from applying only a small amount or targeting the affected areas.

In the winter evenings, I usually apply a lotion + barrier cream intensive cream, but this product was very satisfying as it was effective in providing moisture and soothing with just a small amount. As it is an intensive balm, it has a bit of an oily texture, but it is not overly greasy and is just right for winter night care. If I had started using it a little earlier, I think I would have really enjoyed it throughout the winter. So far, I have used La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm, Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Balm, and Bioderma Cicabio Pomate Cream, and personally, the Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Balm and the Zeroid Intensive Balm are my favorites. The moderately thick texture and good spreadability make it very pleasant to apply smoothly.
ConsThis product has a moisturizing feel, so I don't think I'll be able to use it when it gets hot. It's great for applying over a lotion or moisturizer in the winter, though. It's good, but it's a bit pricey for the amount, so I'll have to think about repurchasing it.

When winter comes, my arms and legs become extremely dry and itchy in spots. I applied this primarily to those areas, and it definitely felt gentle yet protective for my irritated skin. I used it at night before bed, and in the morning, my skin felt soft and supple, with less flaking. On days when my face felt really tight, I squeezed out just a tiny dot and spread it thinly - even that small amount provided sufficient moisture, thanks to the rich formula. While I can't use it daily due to its thick, rich texture, it's great to use occasionally when my skin needs a break. I'll just apply the Hwahae after my toner and use it like a sleeping pack. I mainly used it on my knees and arms, and it really helped with the bumpy, sensitive skin. After using it overnight, the itchiness went away and my skin felt smoother. This would be great for those with sensitive skin, eczema, as well as for babies and pregnant women.
ConsWell, I suppose the quantity being a bit low is a bit of a shame haha. To be honest, I don't think I've felt any major disappointment so far. If I had to pick something, it would probably be the quantity and the price?? It's not outrageously expensive, but there's still a bit of a lingering sense of something being a bit off about the price range, you know? haha
TipHwahae, for normal to dry skin (face), we recommend just using a toner and lotion or a toner and essence ampoule, and then applying a tiny amount, dotting it on your face like stars, in the evening. For those with sensitive body skin, we also recommend applying it to your body.

For the oily type, a cream-like formula would be better for indoor activities or before bedtime. The fragrance is very mild and doesn't cause headaches. The texture is similar to an ointment mixed with a moisturizing cream. It's comparable to the Atobarrier cream from Etude House in terms of texture. I didn't feel any intense cooling or moisturizing effects, but my skin did feel softer when touched. The application is a bit sticky and ointment-like, so it feels a bit thick. I used it on my very dry and irritated neck area, and after applying it consistently for about a week, the itchiness went away and my skin improved significantly.
ConsThe texture is a bit thick, so the feel when applying it by hand is not great... The price seems a bit high considering the small volume. It doesn't seem to deliver dramatic effects immediately. Consistent use is required!
TipApplying it frequently to areas that are scratched or extremely dry, and applying it one more time before bed, should be effective!

I felt like my skin was getting thinner from going to the swimming pool every day, but after mixing this cream with the cream I normally use and applying it for a few days, I felt like the redness and skin protective layer were becoming firmer. I definitely saw the effects of calming the redness! Regarding the formulation, I liked that it was fragrance-free, as befits a steroid-free product. Other intensive balms feel thick, but the Zeroid Intensive SOS Balm has a soft cream-like texture, so it feels good to use on its own. If you warm it up in your hands and absorb it well, you can use it before makeup and it will keep your skin moisturized so the base applies well. As for the moisturizing effect, since I have oily skin, formulas that are too heavy tend to clog my pores, so I don't reach for them. The Zeroid Intensive Balm has a moisturizing cream-like feel, so it was perfect for finishing off my skincare routine!
ConsZeroide is a product that is also prescribed by dermatologists, which is why the quantity is small and the price is disappointing.

My 7-month-old baby has inherited my atopic skin, so I'm concerned about it. That's why I started using Atopalm products and discovered that the zero-steroid cream prescribed by the hospital is also from the same company. I had the Zero-oid Intensive Rich MD Cream, MLE Cream, and Panthenol Cream at home, so I took comparison shots of them. (I arranged the products in the order they appear in the photo.) The SOS Balm seems to be a good ointment-type product. I don't particularly mind the scent either (though I'm not sure if it's fragrance-free, which would be even better). My baby had some reddened areas, so I applied the cream and topped it with the SOS Balm. I'm not sure if the SOS Balm had an effect, but I could see the redness subsiding. Since it's said to help with quick soothing, it gives a reassuring feeling, like having a reliable first-aid item on hand.
ConsThere are no particularly disappointing aspects to the product, but the small capacity seems a bit pricey, so if it were discounted, the entry barrier would likely be lowered somewhat.
TipI wanted to apply the product to my baby, so I made my first call to the customer service center, and they kindly answered my questions. They said the product can be used on babies as well, and the instructions on the back of the product were the same as what they advised me. The tip was to apply a moisturizer (cream) first, and then use the product. So I applied the baby cream and then layered the product on top. Going forward, I will make sure to always apply a cream first before using the product.

The application is smooth and soft. However, since it is high in oil content, if the skin has a lot of moisture, it may not spread as smoothly, so it is recommended to use it after thoroughly absorbing a toner or other moisturizing product. The absorption rate is relatively fast compared to other products. Unless applied excessively, it is quickly absorbed. There is some stickiness, likely due to it being a night cream. The moisturizing power is good. My skin felt soothed and softened after application. It would likely be suitable for dry skin types. I have combination skin. As it has an oily feel, I mainly used it in the evenings, as it felt too rich for morning use. After waking up, I noticed my skin was much smoother. So I used it frequently even when my skin was in poor condition. However, this led to itchiness and breakouts. I recommend avoiding it when the skin is very sensitive. For oily skin types, it's better to use it once every 2-3 days in the evenings.
ConsScent: Ointment scent? Herbal scent? It seems like the same scent, but people may have different preferences. Personally, I dislike it. Price: The amount is small compared to the price.
TipI would not recommend using it when your skin condition is too sensitive. For oily skin, I recommend applying it thinly and using it every other day.

Even when my moisturizer was completely used up and my skin around the eyes and nose was peeling, after using this product, the redness and peeling significantly improved (it started getting better from the 2nd day). The blotchiness and minor breakouts (small bumps) that were starting to appear have gradually improved, so I definitely received help in soothing my skin and improving the skin barrier. Even though I have an oily skin type, I was pleasantly surprised that my skin texture also improved slightly. I use this product together with my regular moisturizer, and compared to the cream I used before (which I had to apply 1-2 times more before bed), the lasting power was not bad, and I didn't need to apply it again before bed. I'm satisfied with this cream-type product with an oily texture after a long time. Texture🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 The texture is between an ointment and a cream (with the right amount of oil and good absorption, a semi-ointment texture), and among the balm-type products, it's on the thinner side. Other balm products are too difficult to spread, but this one is easy to apply and has decent absorption, so the first impression was good. This product is a balm-type focused on oil and skin barrier improvement rather than just hydration. Fragrance 🩷🩷🩷 The fragrance is from the natural ingredients, with a slight scent of raw potato or cardboard. It's not a fragrant scent, but as someone with atopic skin who is sensitive to fragrances, I think it's much better than artificial and strong fragrance. There was no discomfort or headache from the fragrance.
ConsThe price was a bit on the expensive side, and the scent was slightly disappointing. I would like to purchase it when Hwahae offers a discount or a special promotion.
TipThose with dry skin or oily skin should definitely apply a moisturizing cream and then layer it on top. That way, the effects will be amplified, and your skin texture will improve tremendously!

It's good to use in the dry winter as it's a night type, and it seems to work well in spring and fall when applied thinly. It might be difficult to use in the summer as it's a night cream. Moisturization: I used a light moisturizing cream when applying makeup, and only applied it at night, and it remained moisturized until the next day, so my makeup went on well. Spreadability and absorption: Compared to La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5, Zeroid had better spreadability. It felt richer than the Baume, and I could apply it thinly without any white cast. It absorbed quickly, so it was easy to layer. Soothing: I originally had some redness, but the redness significantly improved after using the Zeroid SOS Baume. A few small bumps appeared on my forehead, but the improvement in redness was more noticeable, so I can use it without much concern.
ConsThe price is disappointing compared to the quantity. I applied the product generously on the areas that needed soothing, but it was used up quickly. If you are disappointed by the small bumps coming up, that is an area of concern. The main effects seem to be redness soothing and barrier strengthening, but it does not appear to be very effective for the small bumps.
TipApplying Hwahae to the areas that need soothing can quickly calm the skin.

It seems suitable for overall application in spring and fall, and can be used on specific areas in summer and winter without issues.
ConsA while ago, due to the weather, my skin flipped over, so I used it while hoping, but I was a little disappointed. - No effect I applied it to the parts where the inflammatory acne came up and subsided and the scarred parts, and the parts where the red spots were coming up, but the effect was disappointing as there was no effect. - Does not absorb when rubbed When I rub it on vigorously, it turns white and does not absorb, and it feels a bit sticky.
TipI searched online because I didn't see any effects, but most people said they applied it after getting dermatological treatments and it helped calm their skin. It seems to work well for those who have undergone such procedures.
