The standout features of this product are its impressive cleansing power that removes even eye makeup in one go, and the moisturizing effect that leaves your face feeling hydrated, not tight, after washing! It was also effective in removing excess sebum. The oil feels a bit heavy, so double cleansing is absolutely necessary when using this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2021
Cleansing effectiveness: Excellent. It removes even point makeup quite well. No tightness: There was no skin tightness after use. Sebum & blackheads: No change. It doesn't effectively remove sebum. Blackheads remain unchanged. I didn't see any improvements using this product. I even tried following blog and YouTube tutorials with a stopwatch, but it didn't help with sebum removal. Price: Honestly, for this performance, it seems overpriced. While I didn't experience any blemishes, I did notice some new wrinkles. Whatever you do, don't rub it in for too long. My skin got completely irritated. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMay 29, 2021
Ever since I started using cosmetics, cleansing has always been synonymous with Shu Uemura cleansing oils. While I can't recall all the specific names, I've tried the yellow, pink, green, purple, and brown versions. Personally, I found the pink one a bit too light, but the green, purple, and brown were my favorites. Although I don't typically wear heavy makeup, these oils effectively remove color cosmetics without any irritation. What I love is that despite being an oil, it doesn't leave a slippery residue. Instead, it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed. Since I've always used this product, I haven't really noticed any downsides. However, I did notice that when I decanted some for travel use and left it for a while, it developed a slight odor. I've heard it's important to pump the oil onto dry hands, massage it thoroughly over your face, and then add a small amount of water to emulsify the product for the best cleansing effectiveness. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinApr 24, 2021
I originally used the brown one, but it felt too heavy, so I switched to the green version. It's definitely lighter than the brown one. Despite being lighter, it doesn't leave my skin feeling overly dry. It removes makeup effectively too. I usually keep my eyes open and look in the mirror while removing my makeup (which probably isn't great for my eyes), but this doesn't sting or irritate my eyes at all. I have to admit... it's quite expensive, and there are good products available in Korea too... But I recently received it as a gift, so I'm using it up as my last bottle. They say if you do an oil rolling for 4 minutes, followed by a 2-minute emulsification process, and then cleanse with warm water for another 4 minutes, it helps remove blackheads. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 29, 2021
I've been using this cleansing oil for over 5 years with my combination skin. When I heard Shu Uemura was leaving the Korean market, I was worried, but I'm relieved to have stocked up on two 1000ml bottles. It removes makeup incredibly well, and after washing, there's no feeling of excess oil on my skin. The only downside is the price, but I always purchase it duty-free, which helps. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 28, 2021
I've tried many samples of this product when purchasing other items, and it's immediately clear why it's so popular. I'm definitely planning to buy it once I finish all the samples. Among cleansing oils, it's the best for removing sebum. I don't think any other product can match it. It effortlessly removes sebum without causing any issues, and it naturally melts away makeup too. I'm really hoping that a domestic brand will create something like this soon. The price is a bit high, and the country of manufacture and scent are somewhat disappointing. But in terms of effectiveness, there's nothing to complain about. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinFeb 12, 2021
I'm absolutely loving this product! It's a game-changer for removing even the most stubborn mascara. Just apply a bit of oil to a cotton pad, press it gently on your eyes for a few seconds, and voila - it wipes right off! The oil-based formula leaves my skin feeling wonderfully hydrated after cleansing. What's more, this cleanser is so effective at removing most makeup that on those lazy nights when I can't be bothered with double cleansing, I can get away with just using this. It still manages to cleanse thoroughly without any issues! There's not really anything to complain about, but if I had to nitpick, I'd say it's a bit pricey. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 29, 2020
Unlike heavy formulas that often cause blemishes, this green-cased cleansing oil from the Shu Uemura line is lightweight, effectively removes makeup without causing any skin issues. I've been using it with great results. It's excellent at removing mascara and shimmery eyeshadows. I also appreciate that it doesn't have an overpowering oily scent that's typical of some cleansing oils. The price is a bit steep... The large bottle costs over $100, so I've been sticking to the smaller size. Even that's in the $60-70 range, which is still quite pricey. It's slightly less effective at removing blackheads and sebum compared to other oils. When I do the rolling method, I don't feel as much sebum coming out as with other products. However, it still leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed, which is why I continue to use it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 30, 2020
I have a skin type where my face doesn't get overly oily, but my nose pores are large and blackheads form very easily. Despite trying everything, they don't really go away, just maintain their status quo. This cleansing oil, however, does the best job of washing them away, so I've been using it consistently. I've tried cheaper versions from Missha and The Witch Factory, but I always end up coming back to this one. It emulsifies extremely well, so even without double cleansing, just using water leaves my skin clean without any residue. I can even remove heavy eye makeup in one go with this product. The price... the price is too high. But because the product is so good, I'm continuing to use it sparingly. For some reason, I always end up using Japanese products for sunscreen and cleansing oil. Since it's in a higher price range, I recommend not buying it hastily. Try a cheaper version with similar functions first, and then consider purchasing this one. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 29, 2020
It removes makeup effectively. The texture is just right, making it comfortable to use. I like that it doesn't leave my skin feeling too slippery after use. I bought it duty-free and used it, but I'm disappointed that it's quite expensive.
