I tried this product based on a friend's recommendation for its gentleness. My skin is dry in the U-zone, slightly oily in the T-zone, and I have some small blemishes all over. Dead skin cell removal: - It works incredibly well. After one use, dead skin cells don't reappear for at least a week. Texture: - This is what I want to praise the most. The texture is really amazing - it's truly gel-like, causing no irritation to the skin. Scent: - Unscented is the best! Rinsing off: - I'm not sure if it's because I have a large face, but after applying it all over, by the time I finish my forehead and move to my cheeks, it's already hardened on my chin. The problem is it doesn't wash off easily. It doesn't come off well with soap or foam cleanser, and I have to scratch it off with my nails, which is very irritating to the skin. Small blemishes: - Actually, right after buying this product, I tested it on the back of my hand, and small blemishes appeared in just 20 minutes. I still used it on my face without much thought, but many small blemishes appeared between my eyebrows. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 4, 2018
-This is a review from The Hwahae Testers!- I have dry and super sensitive skin~ 1. Moisturizing It felt great with no deep dryness even after use. They said it's for dry skin, and it was perfect for me. It's rich in hydration, so I didn't feel burdened using it frequently. I used it about 4 times a week, and it was gentle and moisturizing without causing any redness. 2. Smoother skin texture The skin on my cheeks and forehead became much smoother. It leaves a refreshing feeling after use, which also puts me in a good mood! 1. Texture The texture is clumpy and doesn't absorb well. It doesn't have a smooth application. 2. Inadequate removal of sebum and dead skin cells in corners I think the role of a peeling gel is to remove sebum and dead skin cells. While it was effective on wider areas with relatively less deep-seated sebum like cheeks and forehead, it had no effect on the sebum around my nose, leaving it rough. 3. Residue is hard to rinse off After peeling, I found it difficult to wash off completely. It especially tends to get stuck around the eyebrows and nose area. Please pay extra attention when rinsing these areas. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 30, 2018
Hello! I was selected as a Hwahae Tester and used this product from September 21st to 30th. Here's my review! First, about my skin: I have small blemishes along my facial contours with a lot of dead skin cells in those areas. I also have whiteheads on my nose! My skin is oily but severely lacking in hydration. I used this product every single morning for ten days, gently massaging it in. • I experienced no irritation even with daily use. I didn't feel any discomfort during application either. The lack of irritation seems to be its biggest advantage! • It's an exfoliator that provides a lot of hydration. While other products tend to strip moisture from my skin, this one felt like it was pumping hydration into my cheeks! I loved how it allowed for thorough exfoliation while keeping skin super moist. I even made my mom, who has dry skin, try it, and she enjoyed using it too! • As for the scent... I have a keen sense of smell, but I could barely detect any fragrance during use. If you put it right up to your nose, you might notice a slight artificial scent! • After rinsing... I can't stop touching my face! It becomes so soft... Is this really my skin? I heard it's available at Olive Young... As someone who's tried it, I think I'll be repurchasing! I saw a review claiming it removes whiteheads, so I had high hopes and massaged it in thoroughly... However, it didn't remove any whiteheads at all. I'd recommend relying on exfoliating scrubs for dead skin cells and cleansing oils for whiteheads. Also, it doesn't rinse off easily even when you try to wash it off with water. You'll need to be very thorough with removal. I suggest looking in the mirror and carefully removing it bit by bit. The product says it can be used in the shower, so that's how I used it! It doesn't come off easily when it's stuck on... Just blast it off with the shower head! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinSep 23, 2018
As soon as you apply it, dead skin cells are gently swept away, leaving your skin incredibly soft and smooth Without double cleansing, it doesn't feel completely refreshing, and the areas around the nose don't get perfectly clean - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinSep 21, 2018
I really liked how incredibly gentle this product is. It's hard to recommend since everyone's skin is different, but as someone with super sensitive skin that tends to react badly with seasonal changes, I usually can't use just any cosmetics or cleansing products. This one, however, was perfect for me! It's so incredibly mild that I can't even use my previous peeling gel anymore. The downside is... because it's so gentle, it feels like it doesn't remove dead skin cells as effectively. Others might find it works well, but I'm not sure. Also, it took a bit longer to rinse off. After applying the peeling gel in the final step of cleansing, I had to keep rinsing with water. For me, this was a drawback. There's no special way to use it. Just gently massage it in thoroughly during the final step of your routine. And remember, everyone knows that if you apply too much pressure, it can irritate your skin, so be careful when using it! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSep 15, 2018
The transparent gel texture caused minimal irritation. Unlike other gommage peeling gels that leave skin feeling smooth but desperately in need of hydration, this one kept my skin feeling moisturized even after exfoliation. I loved how it left my skin feeling hydrated long after use. If you don't exfoliate thoroughly, some residue may be left on your face. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 17, 2018
Since you can massage it with damp hands, I found it easier and gentler to exfoliate compared to products used without water. If you find scrubs with granules too harsh or sensitizing, this peeling jelly that can be used with wet hands might be a good alternative. It's fragrance-free, making it pleasant to use. Even on dry skin, it doesn't leave that tight, squeaky-clean feeling after use. Instead, it leaves the skin feeling smooth and hydrated, which I really appreciated. If your makeup tends to look patchy, try exfoliating with this before applying makeup for better adherence. As it's designed for daily use, the exfoliating effect felt milder compared to more intensive exfoliating products. Even though it's said to be safe for daily use, those with super sensitive skin should still be cautious. While it does remove dead skin cells that roll off like dirt, it was hard to tell if it was actually my dead skin or just the product's texture. I focused on my nose area where I have a lot of blackheads, but I didn't notice a significant improvement in cleanliness. Since it's an exfoliating product, I found that it's crucial to follow up with extra hydration after using the peeling jelly. A moisturizer seems essential. Although it's marketed for daily use, for those with sensitive skin, using it twice a week might be more suitable. While it can be used with damp hands, I found it more effective to lightly mist the face first, then apply the peeling jelly. This seemed to make the exfoliation easier and more effective. Too much water seemed to reduce its effectiveness. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 14, 2018
As advertised, this is a gentle exfoliator suitable for daily use. It feels light on the skin and doesn't contain harsh scrub particles, making it a mild peeling product. Your makeup applies beautifully the next day. After exfoliating, there's no noticeable dryness. It's clear that this product effectively balances hydration while removing dead skin cells. Although it's a gommage-type exfoliator, it's hard to tell if it's actually removing any dead skin cells - there's no satisfying peeling effect. The product doesn't wash off properly during cleansing. Even after rinsing several times, it gets stuck in facial hair and eyebrows, drying there and remaining until the next day. The ineffective removal seems to cause skin blemishes. I woke up with a pimple the very next day. If you prefer a more intense exfoliation, this product is definitely not for you. I paid for this, and it's the most disappointing product I've ever used. Zero chance of repurchasing. Since it clumps and doesn't wash off well even when you apply a small amount, use as little as possible when exfoliating. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 10, 2018
Convenience: First off, it's super handy that you can pump and apply it even with wet hands. Being able to use it right after cleansing actually makes me use it more often than I expected! Gentle Formula: Although it's said to be safe for daily use, since it's a peeling product, I use it every 2-3 days. It seems quite gentle - I haven't experienced any blemishes or breakouts. Clean Scent: It's fragrance-free, but there's a subtle, clean scent that I really like. Great Value: The price is reasonable, and it's free from harmful ingredients. As a mom, I'm very satisfied with this product. Requires Thorough Rinsing: While it applies smoothly, it can be a bit tricky to rinse off completely. Since it's a peeling gel, you need to pay extra attention when washing it off. Needs Extra Effort for Sebum Removal: It's effective for removing dead skin cells, but you need to massage it well to tackle whiteheads. Since it's gentle and less irritating, don't expect dramatic peeling results. Make sure to follow up with a mask after using this product! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 18, 2018
This is a must-have! I bought the P** brand that was ranked #1, but it irritated my skin. My skin broke out, dead skin cells wouldn't come off, and my makeup looked patchy. Now, I use this product daily with a bit of water, followed by Physiogel. My skin is as smooth as a peeled egg! Everyone asks how my skin looks so good. I've become a true beauty. The residue doesn't wash off as easily with water alone as I expected, so I end up cleansing a second time.
