The Detclear Peeling Jelly is a reliable go-to for gentle exfoliation. Its hydrating formula helps prevent the dryness that can sometimes occur after removing dead skin cells. Plus, it's so mild and non-irritating that you can use it without any worries. I'm not entirely sure if it's effectively removing dead skin cells. When I used it on my chin during a breakout, it didn't seem to properly exfoliate the area. It was a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 11, 2023
Among exfoliating gels, this one's the most comfortable and I love that it doesn't have any beads! I really dislike products with plastic-like particles as they make me anxious. It's gentle and provides just the right amount of hydration. I love how it smoothly removes dead skin cells and leaves my skin feeling soft and fresh when I massage it in during my shower. Given that it's an exfoliating gel, those with sensitive skin might want to use it only occasionally. I noticed that using it too frequently can lead to some blemishes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 18, 2021
This product offers a hydrating self-exfoliation routine perfect for skin prone to makeup flaking. It's conveniently usable even with wet hands. I bought it for my dry skin, and pleasantly, there was no tightness after use. It's a bit disappointing that it's a Japanese product. I'm sure we have equally good or better products in our own country. I'll have to look for those. There's a noticeable difference between using it for regular cleansing and during a bath. When bathing, it seems the pores are more open, allowing for more effective dead skin cell removal. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 26, 2021
The gentle formula makes it great for frequent use, and it's convenient that you can apply it even when your hands or face are damp! I love that it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry after use. It's really difficult to remove. I feel like the process of washing it off might actually cause irritation. Also, if it gets in your hair, it's hard to get out. I've been using a cleansing foam after peeling, but I don't think I'll be repurchasing this. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 24, 2020
Late 30s, sensitive combination dehydrated skin: 1. Gel-type formula that creates little balls when rubbed - seems to exfoliate dead skin cells well. 2. No tightness or dryness after cleansing (skin actually feels smooth). 3. Super convenient pump dispenser. 4. Non-irritating. Never experienced burning or redness. 5. Unscented, which is perfect. I prefer to avoid artificial fragrances, and even natural scents aren't my favorite. 1. Due to some concerning ingredients, I now mainly use it on my legs and elbows for exfoliation. 2. Being a Japanese product somewhat reduces my desire to purchase it. Makeup applies smoothly after using this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 10, 2020
* My skin type is sensitive/combination. Please keep this in mind while reading * 1. Fragrance It's fragrance-free. As a fragrance-free lover, this product is excellent for me. Since there's no scent at all, if you prefer fragranced products, please choose a scented line. 2. User experience I think this is an optimal product for sensitive/dry skin! First, there are no granules in the gel, making it gentler compared to exfoliators with beads. After use, I didn't experience any dryness or tightness in my skin. Also, the biggest advantage of this product ★★★ It's convenient because you can use it when your face is wet. (Usually, peeling gels can't be used on a wet face.) So I use it last after thoroughly soaking my face while showering. 3. Locking mechanism It has a pump-style locking mechanism, making it convenient to carry around. (I think you'll understand what I mean even with this clumsy explanation...) Surprisingly, the texture is quite slippery, which might be hit or miss for some people. I've used this product a few times so I'm used to it now, but first-time users might find it a bit unfamiliar... However, you get used to it after a while. No matter how gentle, an exfoliator is still an exfoliator. Don't be misled by claims that it can be used daily. While this product is indeed gentler compared to others, I still only use it once a week (twice at most). Use it according to your skin's needs. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 30, 2019
My skin is sensitive and dry, so I often get blemishes when using products with harsh ingredients or those that are too drying. This product, however, is so gentle that I can use it without any irritation. I'm really enjoying it. The Detclear Peeling Gel comes in a 180ml size and costs $22,000 won. The price is reasonable for the amount you get, and it's conveniently available at offline stores like Lohb's and Watson's. Detclear contains fruit-derived AHA and plant-derived BHA to help care for dead skin cells. One of its biggest advantages is that it allows for gentle exfoliation while keeping the skin hydrated. While the exfoliating effect might not be dramatically visible due to its gentle nature, I highly recommend it for those with dry, sensitive, or blemish-prone skin. I particularly loved the Detclear Bright & Peeling Jelly for its moisturizing finish that doesn't leave the skin feeling dry. The texture is a slightly sticky, moist gel-like consistency. The pump bottle makes it convenient to store and use hygienically. I also appreciated that you can use it with wet hands during a shower without needing to dry off with a towel. As you massage it in, it feels gentle on the skin and rolls off smoothly. After use, my skin texture feels refined. I'd recommend this to anyone who's had issues with harsh peeling gels or is looking for a gentle exfoliator. The ingredients worked well for me, and I plan to repurchase when I run out. Drawbacks: - Ingredients: It contains tartaric acid and PEG, so I strongly advise those who are sensitive to these ingredients to carefully check the label before use. - Exfoliation: Being a gentle product, you might not feel much of a 'peeling' sensation, which could lead some to think it's not effectively removing dead skin cells. Unlike other peeling gels that require you to dry your face completely after cleansing, the Detclear product allows for exfoliation even with wet hands. - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 24, 2019
It feels wonderfully hydrating. Even after exfoliating, my skin doesn't feel particularly dry I'm not sure if it's effectively removing dead skin cells... I bought it because it's popular, but it didn't work well for me - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 2, 2019
After exfoliating, there's absolutely no dryness or tightness. Even after a day or two, my skin feels soft and smooth. I'm 200% certain I'll repurchase! There's nothing particularly disappointing about this product. It doesn't cause any irritation and I really like it! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 8, 2019
After using this peeling gel, the white residue on my skin disappeared, leaving it feeling soft and smooth. My skin doesn't feel tight after use! I'm also satisfied with how gently it removes dead skin cells, thanks to its bouncy gel texture. However, as someone with very thin and sensitive skin, I bought this thinking it would be less irritating. But being a peeling gel, even when used carefully, it can sometimes cause a tingling sensation during subsequent skincare steps. Still, I think it should be fine for most people.
