It's great at removing dead skin cells without any irritation. I'm really pleased with it! The gel is thinner than I expected, which makes it a bit inconvenient as it tends to drip. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinJan 24, 2021
You can definitely feel your skin becoming softer after using this product The texture doesn't absorb into the skin as well as I expected, making it a bit challenging to apply (it tends to slide down your face in the same shape you applied it) It seems like a good idea to use this product after cleansing your face - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 15, 2020
Gentle and mild, it didn't cause any tingling sensation even for my sensitive skin. The texture feels soft and fluffy, making it pleasant to use! I'd recommend this only to those with sensitive skin who want to manage dead skin cells, especially if you don't have a lot of flaking. It keeps sliding off, making it inconvenient even when I want to manage dead skin cells. It doesn't effectively remove dead skin cells. I wish I could scrub it off. I'd prefer a product that's more effective at exfoliating. The finish leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 13, 2020
I bought this on sale at Olive Young, but I'm leaving a review because it's much worse than I expected. *Texture First, it's a jelly-like consistency, so I can't tell if it's properly removing dead skin cells from my face. It's too watery, making it difficult to exfoliate while looking in the mirror as it runs down to my elbows. I feel like I'm wasting more product than I'm actually using. *Blemishes I usually don't get blemishes easily, but as soon as I used this product, tiny red bumps appeared all over my face. While others didn't mention many issues with blemishes, I experienced severe redness and breakouts immediately after washing. *Effectiveness It's supposed to be excellent for blackhead removal and exfoliation due to its AHA content, but honestly, I'm not convinced. You need to cleanse very thoroughly afterward. Rather than feeling like it's effectively sloughing off dead skin cells, it feels oily and forms small clumps that stick to your face when rinsing with water. This is just my personal opinion, and everyone's skin is different, so please take this as a reference only. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 6, 2019
There's nothing... Nothing at all. Maybe it just looks pretty..? First off, I've never used a gel-type peeling gel before, and as other reviews mentioned, it kept breaking apart. Also, despite the reviews saying it's very hydrating, as I applied and rubbed it on my skin, the gel turned into a gommage-like texture + water, which made it uncomfortable as water kept dripping down my hands and arms during the peeling process. I wasn't sure if it was actually exfoliating or not, so I might have used it for too long, which resulted in an immediate skin irritation. After that, I noticed that all products containing 'Acrylate/~' (an ingredient in this product) cause my skin to react. It could be the plant-based AHA, BHA ingredients causing irritation, but I'm not sure of the exact cause. Due to the skin irritation, I returned the product right after using it once. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinDec 17, 2018
Winter's dryness combined with indoor heating and neglecting exfoliation left my skin feeling rough from the inside out. My complexion became dull too. The harsh winter heating was too much to handle, so I searched for a gentle peeling gel with good hydration and tried this one. It's fragrance-free. When pumped, it has a watery gel-like texture, similar to melted jelly. Like other products, when you massage it on your skin, it removes dead skin cells. There's absolutely no irritation when rubbing it in. Unlike other products that feel dry and eraser-like, this one has a hydrating, water-jelly feel as it rolls off. At first, it felt so gentle that I wondered if it was actually exfoliating, but I got used to it over time. I'm satisfied with its core function as a peeling gel. It leaves my skin soft, helps makeup apply better, and feels less drying than typical exfoliants. That said, I still make sure to apply a mist or hydrating emulsion afterwards. The lack of a cooling sensation when first using it was a bit odd. However, as I got used to it, I actually adapted to and appreciated its gentleness. The issue was that it was almost too hydrating, if you can believe it! While massaging it on my face, water would run down my arms towards my elbows. I'd recommend not wearing long sleeves when using it. Since it's a peeling gel that can be used when wet, it's great to keep in the shower and use while bathing. No need to worry about it running down your arms then! While it's praised for its hydration, it's still an exfoliant after all. I always make sure to apply plenty of hydrating emulsion or mist after using it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 26, 2018
This product is lightweight and gentle, making it great to use without irritation! Among the peeling products I've tried, this one seems to be the mildest. When you massage it with your fingers, it gently removes dead skin cells while keeping your skin hydrated, without any irritation! It's so moisturizing and smooth that at first, you might wonder if it's actually exfoliating. The texture is so soft that you can use it without worrying about irritation - it's gentle enough for daily use! If you're concerned about your makeup not sitting well on your skin, I'd highly recommend this product! The texture is a bit too runny, which is slightly disappointing. You need to massage it quickly after applying it to your face. Make sure to use this before applying makeup! It helps reduce makeup pilling and can effectively address blackheads and whiteheads! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 24, 2018
I've tried various peeling products, but most had granules, making me wonder if it was my dead skin cells or just the particles coming off. This product, however, has no granules and comes in a thin gel-like texture. When applied, it goes on smoothly and effectively removes dead skin cells. What I loved most was that there's no irritation when massaging it in, and it transforms into a toner-like consistency, removing dead skin cells while keeping the skin hydrated. Other peeling products often left residue on my skin or hair, and made my skin feel tight afterwards, always leaving me with a dry feeling. But this one keeps my skin moisturized from start to finish, and after rinsing, my skin feels clean without any residue. Personally, I'm too lazy to apply emulsion after cleansing even when my skin feels dry, but with this product, I don't feel any dryness at all, even without additional moisturizer. Also, I'm sensitive to fragrances in cosmetics and dislike lingering scents, so I appreciate that this is fragrance-free. I'm not sure if it's because my face is big, but I need to pump quite a bit to get the right amount. Initially, I pumped three times, but it wasn't enough, so now I use about six pumps each time. Because of this, I think I'll go through the product quickly. As mentioned earlier, it changes to a toner-like consistency during use, and along with the dead skin cells, it drips off like water. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinOct 19, 2018
⭐️This product was provided by Hwahae for review⭐️ There's not much to say, but if I had to squeeze out some positives: # Texture The texture is interesting. It kind of feels a bit like konjac, which is amusing. # Usable when wet? It's possible, but if your hands or face are damp, it tends to slip more easily. So I'm not sure if this is really an advantage... # It slips Usually, when using a peeling gel, I've gotten into the habit of squeezing it onto different parts of my face before exfoliating all over. But with this one, it just slides off. So I ended up spilling it all over the sink and got scolded by my mom! It's especially slippery when there's moisture, but it tends to run even when dry. I guess I'll have to pump it out and start exfoliating right away. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 6, 2018
It's so gentle that you can use it daily without any irritation As you rub it, water forms and keeps dripping, making it inconvenient when wearing clothes They suggest using it with slightly damp skin, but personally, I find that applying it to dry hands and face seems to remove dead skin cells better. Also, less water forms as you rub, reducing the dripping issue
