It seems to be a truly gentle formula. Whenever my skin feels dry, I reach for this mist. Even after hours, there's no deep dryness, and my skin feels soft and supple. It's been a great addition to my routine!
ConsUnfortunately, when I sprayed it on my face and opened my eyes, it stung quite a bit. As someone with blemish-prone skin, I was hoping for some improvement in that area, but I haven't seen any noticeable effects yet, which is a bit disappointing.
TipI've been using this not just on my face, but also on my body right after showering. I highly recommend trying it on your body too! It's great for hydrating dry areas, and it's so convenient to use. I'm really enjoying it for both purposes.

I've been wanting to try a mugwort essence, so I was searching around and had my eye on the Frezju one. Luckily, I got a great opportunity to try it out. I've already used over a third of it while writing this review! Skin type: Combination dehydrated with deep dryness, super sensitive skin, issues with pores and blemishes Usage period: About 12 days, used once or twice daily Texture: Water-like essence with an oily feel, light green color, mugwort scent! Single ingredient mugwort extract with a slightly bitter taste Usage experience: I've been feeling facial tightness lately, so I was using jojoba oil. However, sometimes my face gets itchy when I apply oily products for dryness. So even when dry, I only used a drop of oil and applied it occasionally to avoid skin sensitivity. But with this mugwort essence, it seems to have hydration along with it, so it was fine to apply daily. I rarely need to use oil these days. ① As a skin pack: I soaked a cotton pad generously and left it on for 5 minutes. It didn't moisturize for me and caused dehydration, making my face red, so I only tried it twice and stopped. ② Right after cleansing: Perhaps due to the oil, it seemed to slow down the absorption of products applied afterward. It felt like things were sitting on top of my skin. ③ As a final step: It was perfect as a moisturizing barrier after applying everything else. I mostly used it this way as a finishing touch! One day I sprayed too much and thought I might break out, but my skin was fine the next day. I usually finish my routine with (exfoliating toner) - hydrating essence - light cream - (oil), but while using this mugwort essence, I used it instead of oil. I didn't notice any breakouts from the essence, but to avoid heaviness, I used it once or twice a day depending on my skin condition, mainly spraying it at night. Repurchase intention: To conclude, I would repurchase! My skin was originally not great, with pores, scars, blemishes, and redness. But while using this, I felt like my redness calmed down. Also, the bumpy texture reduced a lot. It's like my skin texture improved... I didn't take before photos because I didn't think there would be visible changes, but now I wish I had for comparison. It's not dramatically amazing, but I'm satisfied with the balanced oil and moisture balance, plus skin soothing effects. It helped my skin become healthier.
ConsAs mentioned above, it's not a product that deeply penetrates the skin, so it doesn't address deep dryness! For the same reason, it can't be used as a skin pack. When I used it as a skin pack, I didn't feel any soothing effect either.
TipSpraying it as a final moisturizing barrier after skincare works best! Also, be careful as it contains oil, which can be uncomfortable if it gets in your eyes.

The spray format made it convenient to use. My skin was in poor condition and super sensitive with various stress-related blemishes. After consistent use, it made my skin look clearer and helped calm my blemishes. I tend to have deep dryness, but this product improved that to some extent. +Now I don't have any blemishes!
ConsThe cap is too tight, making it difficult to put on and take off. This is my first time using a product with mugwort, and I'm not sure if other products feel the same, but this one has an oily feel that's different from regular oil. It made me wonder at first. When I first started using it, my cheek area became red for a while, which worried me. However, there's no itching or dryness, so I'm using it without any issues.
TipIt's great to use right after cleansing as it prevents any feeling of tightness!

The review is completely unbiased and honest, with no guidelines or restrictions. Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsFirst, I'd like to thank The Hwahae Testers for selecting me. The photos show my skin with the same makeup and were taken using the same camera app. Since it's an essence, it's not drying. It's also more affordable compared to other mugwort products from other brands. Please check out the details below!
ConsTo start, the package arrived with a torn box (not related to the Hwahae app). The contents were fine, so it wasn't a big issue. I have acne-prone skin, but since last fall, I've had fewer breakouts and my skin looked pretty good with makeup. Mugwort products are known to be good for skin soothing, and I've used Hanyul's Young Mugwort Mask Pack several times before, so I thought this would be fine and applied for the test. The spray wasn't particularly fine, more of an average mist. When using it, I felt more of an oily texture rather than hydration. I thought it might be because it's an essence, so I tried spraying it multiple times and even used it as a skin pack for this review. There was no cooling effect, and for me, it felt like nothing more than an oily mist that didn't absorb well. I have combination dehydrated skin that needs hydration, but after spraying this oily product, I woke up the next day with a bunch of small blemishes! (Used in the evening of day 1, morning of day 2, and by the afternoon, small blemishes appeared.) It was like my skin had a party of small blemishes... They popped up everywhere, from my acne-prone forehead to around my lips where I rarely get breakouts. While I have acne-prone skin, it's not particularly sensitive, and I haven't had such a severe reaction in months, so I was really shocked. Thanks to this, I had to go for a facial treatment the next day... I used my usual skincare routine and only added this Frezju mist. While I can't definitively say this product caused my skin issues, I haven't used it since that incident. I'm sharing a photo of my skin with makeup two days after the breakout - it was actually worse, but I didn't want to post too graphic an image.
TipI don't recommend this for skin types prone to acne due to excess oil! It might be okay for dry skin, but definitely not for oily skin.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis is a review from The Hwahae Testers. 1. Skin Type I have combination dehydrated skin with severe oiliness in the T-zone. Before using this product, I always had to layer a water-based toner twice after cleansing to address deep dryness. 2. How to Use This mugwort mist is designed to provide hydration immediately after cleansing. I sprayed it about 4 times all over my face post-cleanse. 3. Initial Impressions When I first applied it to my face, I felt an instant boost of hydration. Even after spraying 4 times and waiting for about 5 minutes, I didn't experience any deep dryness or feelings of dehydration. Also, my skin tends to flush easily, but I noticed a significant calming effect after using this mist.
Cons4. Feelings After Some Time After the initial hydration and waiting for it to dry a bit, when I touched my face, it felt like there was an artificial film on my skin. When I applied my usual toner after the mist, it seemed to sit on top of the skin rather than absorbing properly. 5. The Next Morning I typically stop using a product if my face (especially the U-zone) feels dry the next day. The morning after using this mist in the evening, I felt dryness and deep tightness in my U-zone. I think this might be because the toner didn't absorb properly after using the mist. So, I decided not to use the mist in my evening routine.
Tip6. How I Use This Product The Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation, which I often use, can feel dry even on my oily skin. So, I mainly use this mist in the morning to reduce redness after cleansing and minimize deep dryness. While it can feel a bit dry as time passes, I found it works well when I carry it with me and reapply throughout the day.

The scent is nice, and when applied, you can feel a typical oil sensation, but it's not heavy or long-lasting. Instead, it has a light oily feel, making it suitable even for those with oily skin like me. Plus, it didn't cause any blemishes, and my skin actually improved, making me think, 'Oh, this is pretty good!' I could definitely feel my skin becoming more hydrated deep down. When reading reviews, I didn't quite understand what people meant by 'inner hydration,' but after experiencing it myself, I immediately got what they were talking about!
ConsThe spray power feels a bit weak, like it's just spitting out some water droplets. The spray isn't that great! Also, I'm not too fond of the oily feeling. Since I have oily skin, I really dislike anything that feels oily...
TipDue to the poor spray power, it's better to spray it on a cotton pad and gently press it onto your skin like a mask. If you do this after your toner, even those with oily skin won't feel the oiliness and will love it! If you spray it directly on your face without a cotton pad, you'll definitely feel the oil on your skin. I recommend using it at night before bed rather than in the morning, though people with dry skin might find it good to use in the morning too. It really does provide that deep hydration that feels so good!

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis is a review from The Hwahae Testers! I used it for 10 days. It's rich enough that there's no deep dryness at all! When I have dead skin cells, it's great to spray it during the basic skincare steps to calm them down. I originally applied products in the order of ampoule-emulsion-cream, but I used this mist between the ampoule and emulsion! I have combination dehydrated skin, so I usually pat each product to absorb due to deep dryness, but with this product, I felt like the layers were building up more nicely. It feels so firm and bouncy!
ConsSince it's a mist, it can get into your eyes! It stings a lot. When spraying, you can cover your eyes and apply it to one cheek at a time to avoid getting it in your eyes. The mugwort ingredient didn't seem to agree with me, as I started feeling a slight burning sensation from the third day. So I used it every 2-3 days, which worked well!
TipMy forehead and nose are oily, so even in winter, using this product with cream made me look shiny. So I spray it 2-3 times mainly on my cheeks. Adjust the number of sprays according to your skin type and condition. I also sprayed it on my neck to prevent neck wrinkles. I think it would be great for daily use on dry skin, and for combination or oily skin when it feels dry!
