Scent: While fragrance can be a major factor in personal preference, I absolutely loved the authentic mugwort scent. Texture: As this product is a mist-type essence, it's slightly richer than typical mists. After spraying on the face and patting to absorb, you can feel a slight richness. Ingredients: The product label simply lists the ingredients. It's made purely from mugwort extract. Perhaps due to this, it's a truly gentle cosmetic. Some reviewers mentioned absorption issues, but I think applying with a cotton pad or spraying on the face and patting in works best. Volume: The product comes in a generous 115ml size.
ConsWhile there aren't any significant drawbacks, considering both my experience and others', the only potential issue might be that the spray isn't a fine mist, so it can come out a bit forcefully.
TipWith its large volume, this gentle essence mist is light enough to use generously on cotton pads for a skin pack. It's perfect for a daily mask routine!

As it's a mist, I paid close attention to the spray power, and it's not bad. It's not the kind that bursts out forcefully. And the scent! It has a subtle mugwort fragrance, which I found quite nice. I appreciated that the scent wasn't too strong. When I first sprayed the mist on my face and let it absorb, it felt oilier than expected. Usually, mists or toners are watery and moisturizing, right? But this mist felt very rich, focusing more on oil than hydration. At first, it felt a bit slippery, like it was creating a film on my face, which was slightly off-putting. However, after using it for two or three days, it grew on me. Given its good ingredients, it seems to have a great soothing effect. While I don't have acne-prone skin, I occasionally get blemishes, and I noticed that when I used this mist, the blemishes seemed to subside by the next day. It's especially nice when you soak a cotton pad with it and apply it to your face - it makes your skin feel really hydrated and wonderful.
ConsAt first, it felt very slippery and rich, which was a bit off-putting.

Please keep that in mind! • First off, I liked that the scent wasn't as strong as the previous product I used! While V brand's product had quite a divisive fragrance, this one was nearly unscented. • Durability: Unlike V brand's which I had to dispense onto my hand or cotton pad, this comes in a mist form, making it convenient to spray right after cleansing. The cap and nozzle also seemed sturdy, so it doesn't look like it would break easily! • Better value than V brand?! Both are 100% mugwort products, but there's quite a price difference. Also, compared to V brand's lightweight formula, this product feels intensely hydrating with just one spray. The user experience is completely different, so it's best to test both and choose the type that suits you.
Cons• Sigh... First of all, I don't think this agrees with my skin. I only added this product to my usual skincare routine, but after 2-3 days, mysteriously large blemishes started appearing. To check if it was because of this product (as it coincided with my menstrual cycle), I stopped using it for a few days, and my face gradually calmed down. • Not just compared to V brand, but also B and H brands' mugwort lines I've tried, this product uniquely has a lot of rich feeling. While other brands' products are completely water-like and absorb cleanly when applied to the face, this one goes beyond moisturizing to a sticky feeling? It might be difficult for those with oily skin to use. After patting it in to absorb, both my hands and face have an oily sheen.
TipIt seems like it would be good for hydration and soothing for those with very dry skin or who respond well to mugwort. However, as it's getting warmer, I wonder if we need this much rich moisture... Those who feel like their skin is about to crack from dryness should give it a try!

Aroma: I absolutely loved the scent! It's a subtle mugwort fragrance that's not overpowering. It felt soothing and healing for my redness-prone, blotchy skin. Texture: It has a watery consistency! I found it easy and convenient to use as an exfoliating toner by applying it with a cotton pad. For someone with extremely dry skin like me, where both the surface and deeper layers are parched, I typically prefer products with some oil content. After cleansing, I used it as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad, then sprayed it on again. I could see a protective layer forming on my skin, giving it a glow. As a result, I didn't need to apply my usual jojoba oil. A big plus was that it simplified my skincare routine by reducing the number of steps.
ConsHowever... there were more downsides than I expected. Absorption: It took a while to sink in, so I had to wait for it to absorb. Application: While my face appeared to have a glow, it felt more like excess oil on the surface rather than deep hydration. It was sticky, and in my case, layering it multiple times as I usually do with toners made me worry about potential blemishes. Spray mechanism: Given that it's a mist with oil content, if it had a fine mist spray, I would have carried it around to use over makeup like an oil mist. However, with the current spray, it seems like it would remove all my makeup if I tried to use it that way. Initially, it felt like it had a rich texture, but when I tried to apply makeup after my skincare routine, my skin felt extremely dry. It seems that despite being an oil-rich product, it doesn't absorb well and just sits on the surface of the skin.
TipIt works well when I spray it on a beauty blender from Daiso before applying foundation!

The spray power is good, but the particles are a bit coarse (I prefer a fine mist). @Hydration & Soothing: I didn't find its hydrating and soothing properties to be exceptional from a functional perspective. However, the product is so gentle that even those with sensitive skin should be able to use it without worry. @Price: Satisfactory @Overall: As the ingredients suggest, this is a truly gentle mist without harmful components. It has a slight richness, making it more suitable for dry autumn and winter rather than summer.
ConsI wonder if it really needed to be an 'essence mist'. I think it could have worked well as a thin toner format rather than a mist package. I believe they designed it to be suitable for use in the very first step of skincare (providing some skin protection without being burdensome for layering products). That's why they combined a texture between toner and essence with a spray nozzle for a lighter feel when applying. However, due to its slight richness, when sprayed, it lacks the light and refreshing feeling typically associated with mists.
TipI found it works better as a pack by soaking a cotton pad with the product rather than spraying it on.

The sleek packaging and slim design of the mist bottle make it incredibly portable. It fits perfectly in your hand and doesn't take up much space in your bag. 2. The intense aroma of mugwort. While the scent might be polarizing, I personally enjoyed it. I find that a pleasant fragrance in a mist can be mood-lifting, so the strong mugwort scent didn't bother me at all. 3. I wondered why 'essence' was in the name, but now I see why it should be there! Unlike regular mists, this one clings to your face when sprayed, creating a sort of film-like feeling. The texture seems a bit rich, which I found suitable for my dry skin. While it might be a bit heavy for frequent use throughout the day, it's great for touch-ups or occasional spritzes, providing both hydration and soothing effects simultaneously. 4. The affordable price point is a plus. With the popularity of mugwort products from Imvely, similar items have popped up everywhere. However, this mist offers good value for money and doesn't fall short in terms of hydration and soothing properties. It's perfect for winter and a great option for those curious about mugwort products to try out.
Cons1. Due to its rich formula, this mist might not be suitable for oily skin types. When I sprayed it on a friend with oily skin, she found it too heavy and stuffy. She mentioned it felt somewhat greasy. 2. For the same reason, it might be challenging to use this product in summer. While it's great for winter or cooler weather, this texture isn't ideal when it's hot. It doesn't provide a refreshing feeling. 3. If you spray too much on bare skin, it can make your face look oily. It's best to apply it in moderation.
TipFor touch-ups, try blotting your face with oil-absorbing sheets before spraying this mist and then gently patting with a cushion compact. It brings out a natural glow! I've been using it a lot for touch-ups.

Recently, there's been a trend of products with soothing ingredients like mugwort, so after trying another brand's essence a month ago and being quite satisfied, I had high expectations for this one. Scent - While others mentioned a mugwort or herbal clinic smell, I didn't notice it much. Packaging & Spray - The design is simple and clean without any unnecessary frills. I'm satisfied with the spray power. Instead of applying it with a cotton pad on the butterfly zone, I use it after cleansing and before my base makeup. Ingredients - I have super sensitive skin, which has become even more delicate since I started keeping a cat a few years ago. My skin is sensitive, prone to redness, and dry. Lately, I've been focusing more on soothing products rather than nourishing ones. The ingredients list looked good, with nothing particularly problematic, so I had high hopes for its soothing effects.
ConsDespite my expectations for its soothing properties, on the first day when I sprayed it all over my face, my eyelashes felt irritated and itchy. At first, I thought I might have used my eyelash curler incorrectly. But then, as shown in the photo, the area around my nostrils became red and inflamed, like dermatitis. My usual skincare routine was: Morning: Avene mist - Another brand's mugwort essence - Witch's Potion Hydrating Emulsion Evening: Guinot Cleansing Emulsion - Avene mist - Sheet mask or CNP Laboratory Propolis Ampoule depending on skin condition - Guinot Hydra Cream This product was the only new addition to my routine, so I've had to stop using it. The blemishes are concerning, but the itching is even worse. Overall impression: I usually try all kinds of skincare products, regardless of price, if people recommend them. While I occasionally get minor skin irritations (small spots, not acne or pimples), this is the first time I've experienced something like an allergic reaction with round, red patches. Although I can't be 100% certain it's because of this product, I've stopped using it for now.

After washing my face, if I don't apply skincare products immediately, I experience severe deep dryness to the point of feeling parched. That's why I keep this essence mist in the bathroom and use it right away. Spraying it on my face immediately after cleansing leaves it pleasantly hydrated. The subtle mugwort scent is not overpowering at all. While it's not a fine mist spray, I feel like the amount dispensed is a bit much, so I prefer spraying it on a cotton pad and wiping my face. This method helps with absorption and works even better. After using this and applying just a light moisturizer, my skin stays hydrated until morning. As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm always wary of trying new products, but this one is gentle and doesn't cause any blemishes. It's a pass! I'm using it with confidence. The blemishes on my cheeks have calmed down, and after spraying, my skin has a nice glow!
ConsI generally dislike moisturizers or skincare products that feel rich. While I appreciate that this product is lightweight and hydrating, after absorption, it leaves a rich feeling on the skin. If you tap your face, you can even feel it on your fingers. If I apply more when my skin feels dry midday, it feels like there's a layer of oil on my face. It makes my skin feel greasy to the touch, so I have to blot it with a cotton pad or tissue. It's like a watery essence mixed with facial oil, which I found a bit disappointing. Also, the spray tends to get everywhere, including my hair, which is a bit of a letdown. The ingredients themselves are good, though.
TipBecause of the rich feeling, I use it with a moisturizer I typically only use in summer, and it works well. It pairs nicely with TonyMoly's The Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Cream. When I used just the essence, my skin would feel dry again, but using it with a moisturizer works well for me. After spraying the essence and letting it absorb, I finish with a simple layer of moisturizer.
