I initially chose this essence with natural ingredients due to its oil content. My skin is extremely dry, especially in winter when my nose gets flaky and peels terribly. During the cold months, I typically layer toner, ampoule, cream, and jojoba oil mist to maintain hydration and moisture balance. However, sometimes this multi-step routine can feel cumbersome. So, I thought using an essence with a bit of oil content might be a good solution. In conclusion, this mugwort essence is excellent for dry skin. It's hydrating and immediately provides a nourishing feel to the skin. It's not sticky, but rather gives a nice, light coating sensation. I have super sensitive skin and can't use just any cosmetic product. I was actually worried that a natural essence might cause blemishes, but I didn't experience any issues. This mist is perfect for those with sensitive and dry skin types.
ConsThe oil content is both a pro and a con. While it's a blessing for my dry skin, I worry it might feel a bit heavy once winter passes. If you have oily skin and are considering this essence, please keep in mind that it has a rich texture. Due to its oil content, you can't layer it multiple times like you might with a toner. It might feel too heavy on the skin.
TipYou know how makeup can feel suffocating on dry skin in winter, like your skin can't breathe? When that happens, spraying this product adds a burst of life to parched skin. A tip: try misting it from a bit further away for best results!

However, after washing my face and just spraying this on, I didn't feel excessively dry. Instead, my skin felt comfortably dry, if that makes sense. While it's not intensely hydrating, it does seem to provide a decent level of moisture. I also appreciated the subtle and pleasant mugwort scent.
Cons1. The spray function isn't particularly impressive. It's just average. Disappointingly, product would often leak from the nozzle after spraying, requiring me to wipe it clean. 2. It has a slightly oily feel. The sensation is more rich than hydrating. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily skin!
TipI'm especially prone to dryness on my cheeks, which I'm always mindful of when applying makeup. I found that spraying this mist once before makeup application, then again on a makeup sponge and gently pressing it into my skin after foundation, helped prevent my makeup from looking patchy throughout the day.

Aroma: I absolutely loved the scent! It's a subtle mugwort fragrance that's not overpowering. It felt soothing and healing for my redness-prone, blotchy skin. Texture: It has a watery consistency! I found it easy and convenient to use as an exfoliating toner by applying it with a cotton pad. For someone with extremely dry skin like me, where both the surface and deeper layers are parched, I typically prefer products with some oil content. After cleansing, I used it as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad, then sprayed it on again. I could see a protective layer forming on my skin, giving it a glow. As a result, I didn't need to apply my usual jojoba oil. A big plus was that it simplified my skincare routine by reducing the number of steps.
ConsHowever... there were more downsides than I expected. Absorption: It took a while to sink in, so I had to wait for it to absorb. Application: While my face appeared to have a glow, it felt more like excess oil on the surface rather than deep hydration. It was sticky, and in my case, layering it multiple times as I usually do with toners made me worry about potential blemishes. Spray mechanism: Given that it's a mist with oil content, if it had a fine mist spray, I would have carried it around to use over makeup like an oil mist. However, with the current spray, it seems like it would remove all my makeup if I tried to use it that way. Initially, it felt like it had a rich texture, but when I tried to apply makeup after my skincare routine, my skin felt extremely dry. It seems that despite being an oil-rich product, it doesn't absorb well and just sits on the surface of the skin.
TipIt works well when I spray it on a beauty blender from Daiso before applying foundation!

Maybe the fact that even though I have sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes?
ConsRecently, my oil and moisture balance has been off, leaving my skin deeply dehydrated. I applied for this hoping to use it as a toner substitute for intense hydration. However, the finish was too rich, which I really disliked. It didn't replenish my skin's moisture, and instead felt like I was applying an unpleasant oily layer. I don't think I'll purchase this for personal use. The residual feeling is similar to body oil, so I'm currently using it as a post-shower body spray.

It provides both hydration and a rich feel!! Spray mechanism: While it's not quite a fine mist, the spray is pretty good for a standard bottle design.
ConsAbsorption: As I mentioned in the positives, it has a rich feel, but it goes beyond that to the point of being extremely oily. Because of this, it doesn't absorb well!! I wouldn't recommend using it in the middle of your skincare routine.
TipIt's crucial!!!!! to only use this as a mist right after cleansing to prevent dryness before your skincare routine!!! Absolutely do not try to apply and absorb it during your skincare steps or use it as a skin pack!!!
