That's why instead of using it daily, I apply it generously and massage it in on days when my skin feels uncomfortable or looks blotchy. By the next day, the irritation subsides completely.
ConsDespite being a completely water-based formula, it absorbs slowly and feels like it's sitting on top of the skin. The finish is more slippery than refreshing.

The gentle ingredients make it safe to use, which I really appreciate. ❤️Packaging It comes in a mist type, which is super convenient. It's my first time using an essence in mist form, and it's genuinely so easy to use! ❤️Effects I think it has a soothing effect, so I added it to my routine. When I had blemishes, I sprayed this on before bed, and it seemed to calm them down nicely. However, when my skin was really acting up, it didn't seem to agree with it and actually made things worse, unfortunately. ❤️Price I bought it during a sale, so I think I paid around $11 for it.
Cons😔Scent Not knowing what mugwort smelled like, I was quite surprised when I first sniffed this... It was an odd scent I'd never encountered before, but I've gotten used to it now. 😔Product Issue The mist comes out in a straight stream for me... So I either dispense it into my hand or spray it three times on my forehead and cheeks each, then pat it in.
TipWhen you have blemishes, it's great to spray this on a cotton pad and use it as a mask for a soothing effect. Keeping it in the fridge makes it feel cool and gives the sensation of reducing facial heat.

If you apply it well, it absorbs nicely, helps with redness, and is excellent for calming blemishes. It's truly a holy grail product! If you're on the fence about buying it, I'd say go for it!
ConsThere's nothing to complain about. The scent is very authentic, so it's a matter of personal preference. If you don't mind the smell of mugwort, you'll be fine. It smells like mugwort rice cakes, similar to what's commonly called 'dog rice cakes'.
TipHere's a pro tip: instead of just spraying it on, gently pat it into your skin for better absorption - it's a real skin savior. I use it more as a toner in my skincare routine rather than a mist. Keeping it in the bathroom to use after cleansing is an excellent choice.

Lately, frequent masking was making my skin even drier deep down and causing surface redness... So I quickly purchased this. After cleansing, I sprayed the mist, patted it in, and applied moisturizer. When I woke up in the morning, my face was smooth and radiant! The redness and irritation that had been stinging my face were quickly soothed. It's an amazing recommendation for sensitive, redness-prone skin. After just using this mist with moisturizer for 3 days without masking, my skin became soft and smooth, returning to its former state. As someone with extremely dry, redness-prone, sensitive skin, I usually scrutinize ingredients and reviews when choosing skincare. This product has great, gentle ingredients. I'd recommend it for dry, sensitive skin. When you spray and pat it in, it feels watery at first but finishes with an oily feel, so those with oily skin might not like it, but it gets better as you pat it in. Sometimes people with very dry skin say it feels more drying after spraying, but as someone with extremely dry skin, I find all mists drying. You need to drink lots of water to overcome extremely dry skin. Anyway, of all the mists I've tried, this product was the best for calming and reducing redness.
ConsSince it's not a fine mist spray, it feels like you're getting splashed with water when you spray it. It might be difficult to use over makeup as the particles aren't very fine. As the ingredients are good, it only smells of mugwort. I'm lucky I like the scent of mugwort, but those who don't might want to think twice...
TipWhen my skin became sensitive and redness appeared, I sprayed this, applied the Fresh mugwort mask, gently washed it off, sprayed again, applied moisturizer, and went to sleep. In the morning, my skin was back to being fair and clear. While it might not be enough moisture on its own, for sensitive skin, it seems perfectly suitable to use as the first toner or toner replacement after cleansing.

It locks in hydration and provides a rich, moisturizing feel that keeps dryness at bay. The natural mugwort scent isn't overwhelming, which is a plus. When I spray it on areas with redness, it quickly soothes my skin. It can even act as a makeshift setting spray when applied after makeup. My routine involves using this after cleansing and toner - it helps retain moisture, allowing me to follow up with a light cream before bed. I haven't experienced any significant blemishes while using it. + (4/23 After about 2 months of use) Quick soothing effect. Can be used as a makeup setting spray. High moisturizing power, great for occasional use during dry spells. No blemishes.
ConsI wish the spray particles were a bit finer. The case lid is a bit stiff to open and close. If you spray it liberally like a regular mist without controlling the amount, there's a possibility of blemishes.
TipFor those with an extensive skincare routine, you can use this to boost hydration. Apply it after your toner, essence, and serum as a setting spray. Then, use the warmth of your hands to help it absorb all over your face before finishing with a cream. You'll wake up to beautifully soft skin the next morning!

The scent feels somehow rejuvenating, and it seemed to have a calming effect on my skin.
ConsWhile I found the fragrance okay, I think it might be a bit polarizing for some. Also, I haven't noticed any significant results yet, unfortunately.
TipI spray this immediately after washing my face, either before toner or as a toner replacement, and pat it in gently.

Since I have blemishes, I applied it lightly as a toner replacement. It feels rich and sticky, but it absorbs well. If you layer a light emulsion on top, it's less sticky! Depending on the emulsion, it's great because it doesn't dry out the skin or cause deep dryness. The product itself might be better for dry skin. However, I highly recommend it for those with folliculitis or acne due to its soothing effects! You can really see the skin calming down gradually. While there's no dramatic change, it doesn't worsen redness. The mugwort ingredient is good for reducing inflammation, and I think I saw results using it as a toner. I thought mist products weren't cost-effective as they run out quickly, but this one has lasted quite a while. Considering the volume, the price seems reasonable, so I'll repurchase when I finish it!
ConsAlthough it's a mist product, the spray power isn't great. It's almost scary! At first, it came out so forcefully that I had to close my eyes tight. It's not a fine mist, just more like a regular spray bottle. When applied, it feels very sticky. On the first day, I wasn't sure if I'd continue using it because I couldn't get used to how it felt on the skin. Rather than being oily, it has a long-lasting sticky feeling, so if you don't like this texture, you might find it difficult to use. Also, it has quite a strong mugwort scent. Don't expect it to smell like mugwort rice cakes, but it has that distinct mugwort skincare fragrance. If you're sensitive to scents, you might find it hard to use. I've used other mugwort products before, so I actually liked it!
TipWhen using it, it's good to press down firmly! Of course, this might be because I'm not experienced with mist products. Make sure to apply an emulsion after using it. It helps reduce the stickiness.

It has a soothing effect when your skin is very red and has a burning sensation. When I use it as a skin pack, it really calms down that burning feeling! It has a rich texture. As someone with oily skin, this product wasn't quite right for me, but I think those with dry skin would love it. The spray power is decent. Some mists have terrible spray power, but this one envelops my entire face in a fine mist.
ConsFor oily skin types: It's too oily. When I spray it all over my face, it feels too oily and like there's a film covering my skin! Too much of a good thing. I used to spray it once before applying emulsion in the evening, and again before bed if my skin felt dry. But when I used too much, it seemed to cause excess oil, and the next day I woke up with blemishes popping up everywhere! Also, when I touched my face, it felt like everything was pilling. It seems good at first, but not so great with continued use. On first use, I thought it was nice due to the good ingredients and the soothing feeling. But from day 3 or 4, I found myself reaching for it less and less. I don't think it suits my skin type.
TipIt might be okay to use as a skin pack once in a while when your skin is extremely dry, but I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily skin. I received it through the Hwahae Testers program, but unfortunately, it wasn't for me.

Aroma: I absolutely loved the scent! It's a subtle mugwort fragrance that's not overpowering. It felt soothing and healing for my redness-prone, blotchy skin. Texture: It has a watery consistency! I found it easy and convenient to use as an exfoliating toner by applying it with a cotton pad. For someone with extremely dry skin like me, where both the surface and deeper layers are parched, I typically prefer products with some oil content. After cleansing, I used it as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad, then sprayed it on again. I could see a protective layer forming on my skin, giving it a glow. As a result, I didn't need to apply my usual jojoba oil. A big plus was that it simplified my skincare routine by reducing the number of steps.
ConsHowever... there were more downsides than I expected. Absorption: It took a while to sink in, so I had to wait for it to absorb. Application: While my face appeared to have a glow, it felt more like excess oil on the surface rather than deep hydration. It was sticky, and in my case, layering it multiple times as I usually do with toners made me worry about potential blemishes. Spray mechanism: Given that it's a mist with oil content, if it had a fine mist spray, I would have carried it around to use over makeup like an oil mist. However, with the current spray, it seems like it would remove all my makeup if I tried to use it that way. Initially, it felt like it had a rich texture, but when I tried to apply makeup after my skincare routine, my skin felt extremely dry. It seems that despite being an oil-rich product, it doesn't absorb well and just sits on the surface of the skin.
TipIt works well when I spray it on a beauty blender from Daiso before applying foundation!

Most skincare products work well for me! However, I prefer lightweight yet hydrating formulas + that Inner Glow look! What The Hwahae Testers loved: 1. Absolutely fantastic for calming the skin! At first, I didn't notice, but today after removing some milia, I applied this on a cotton pad and left it on for about 5 minutes - all the redness disappeared! 2. The scent might be polarizing, but I'm a fan! Initially, the fragrance surprised me, but it feels like I'm giving my skin a tonic. It makes me feel healthier with each use. The scent dissipates quickly! 3. Much more affordable compared to other brands! I was skeptical about how a mugwort essence could be this inexpensive, but the ingredients are perfect... That's probably why it's so effective at soothing the skin.
ConsWhat The Hwahae Testers found disappointing: 1. The packaging is an issue. The product design is pretty, but the bottle is problematic. When you press the mist nozzle, it feels like you're splashing water from a lake onto your face... Also, unlike most mists that feel cool when sprayed, this plastic bottle doesn't provide that refreshing sensation. 2. The finish is oily rather than hydrating. I expected it to be great for deep dryness, given its mugwort, hydrating, soothing, and brightening claims. However, it doesn't seem to address dryness effectively. It feels like it forms a thin oil film, making only the surface feel moisturized. Due to this oiliness, absorption is extremely slow, and over time, it actually feels drying.
TipRegarding the packaging issue: Store it in the refrigerator and apply using a cotton pad when using. Use it primarily on areas with blemishes or that need soothing.
