You can just spritz it on liberally!
ConsWhile I appreciated the hydration, it was a bit too sticky... The spray isn't a fine mist, so you need to apply it from a distance and use just a little bit at a time for the right amount.

I've been using this for exactly two weeks, and I'm a bit late with my review as I was supposed to write it yesterday! 1. It's really great for casual use What I mean is that it's not heavy at all, so after completing your skincare routine, when you're at home bare-faced and your skin starts feeling dry, you can spritz this on whenever you need! 2. It's perfect for those who practice the 7-skin method! I don't usually do the 7-skin method myself, but after receiving this, I applied it 4-5 times, letting it absorb into my skin. Since you just spray it on your face, it felt really convenient to use. 3. It tackled my deep dryness As I mentioned earlier, I didn't use to do the 7-skin method. So I always relied on creams to combat dryness. But after applying this multiple times and letting it absorb, I only needed a small amount of cream before applying makeup!
ConsThere's not much to complain about, but if I had to mention something, it would be the spray mechanism. I expected it to dispense like a fine mist, but in reality, it's more of a quick spurt. Other than that, I can't think of any negatives.
TipI also used this by spraying it on a cotton pad and wiping my face before cleansing. It's lightweight and has good ingredients, so I felt comfortable using it without any issues!

I couldn't wait to try it out as soon as it arrived!! I've always heard rave reviews about expensive mugwort essences from places like Olive Young, so I had high hopes for this Artemisia Essence too!! However, after using it for a day or two, I noticed some blemishes popping up. Maybe mugwort doesn't agree with me? In my opinion, it felt quite rich, so I thought it might not be suitable for oily skin. I decided to give it to my sister with dry skin and asked for her evaluation! Extremely dry skin feedback: After using it instead of toner for two weeks, my skin gradually improved. Coincidentally, during this two-week period, I had my time of the month. Usually, my skin goes haywire a week before, but this time, thanks to the Artemisia Essence, I think, my skin stayed calm without any major blemishes. I even sprayed it on my back acne, and it soothed it well. I'm considering repurchasing. The volume is generous too, making it seem more cost-effective compared to other mugwort essences.
ConsIf I had to nitpick, it would be the mugwort scent...?? I think this might be a love-it-or-hate-it situation for many. Also, while using it, I found it great to spray like a mist after cleansing, but I thought it would be even better if it had a fine mist spray.
TipPro tip: For everyday use, after cleansing, spray it like a mist once for deep hydration, and it's also good to use it like a toner by applying it with a cotton pad. When blemishes appear, soaking a cotton pad and using it as a spot treatment pack showed visible soothing effects the next day!!

Scent: While fragrance can be a major factor in personal preference, I absolutely loved the authentic mugwort scent. Texture: As this product is a mist-type essence, it's slightly richer than typical mists. After spraying on the face and patting to absorb, you can feel a slight richness. Ingredients: The product label simply lists the ingredients. It's made purely from mugwort extract. Perhaps due to this, it's a truly gentle cosmetic. Some reviewers mentioned absorption issues, but I think applying with a cotton pad or spraying on the face and patting in works best. Volume: The product comes in a generous 115ml size.
ConsWhile there aren't any significant drawbacks, considering both my experience and others', the only potential issue might be that the spray isn't a fine mist, so it can come out a bit forcefully.
TipWith its large volume, this gentle essence mist is light enough to use generously on cotton pads for a skin pack. It's perfect for a daily mask routine!

It's moisturizing and rich enough that I don't need to use any other essence. For me, it feels quite nourishing, so even in winter, I can use a light moisturizer without any deep dryness!
ConsIt's not a fine mist spray, so occasionally it gets in my eyes when I spray directly on my face... ha ha. It's definitely a heavier product compared to typical essence mists, and that heaviness feels a bit like it's coating my skin with a greasy layer, which is disappointing.
TipAfter cleansing and toning, lightly spray it on your face (since it's not a fine mist) and also spray some into your palms to pat it onto your face. Then (since I find it quite rich), gently press a paper towel on your face to remove excess oil. Finish with a light moisturizer and your skincare routine is complete! Even in winter, a light moisturizer is enough!

Since I have blemishes, I applied it lightly as a toner replacement. It feels rich and sticky, but it absorbs well. If you layer a light emulsion on top, it's less sticky! Depending on the emulsion, it's great because it doesn't dry out the skin or cause deep dryness. The product itself might be better for dry skin. However, I highly recommend it for those with folliculitis or acne due to its soothing effects! You can really see the skin calming down gradually. While there's no dramatic change, it doesn't worsen redness. The mugwort ingredient is good for reducing inflammation, and I think I saw results using it as a toner. I thought mist products weren't cost-effective as they run out quickly, but this one has lasted quite a while. Considering the volume, the price seems reasonable, so I'll repurchase when I finish it!
ConsAlthough it's a mist product, the spray power isn't great. It's almost scary! At first, it came out so forcefully that I had to close my eyes tight. It's not a fine mist, just more like a regular spray bottle. When applied, it feels very sticky. On the first day, I wasn't sure if I'd continue using it because I couldn't get used to how it felt on the skin. Rather than being oily, it has a long-lasting sticky feeling, so if you don't like this texture, you might find it difficult to use. Also, it has quite a strong mugwort scent. Don't expect it to smell like mugwort rice cakes, but it has that distinct mugwort skincare fragrance. If you're sensitive to scents, you might find it hard to use. I've used other mugwort products before, so I actually liked it!
TipWhen using it, it's good to press down firmly! Of course, this might be because I'm not experienced with mist products. Make sure to apply an emulsion after using it. It helps reduce the stickiness.

I have sensitive skin that's prone to small blemishes and redness, so I only use gentle products, and this one fits the bill perfectly. I thought the watery texture would be no different from a regular toner, but it's slightly richer than water. After applying, there's an indescribable moisturizing feeling, and when patting it in, it feels slightly oily. It suited my skin type perfectly, didn't cause any blemishes, and seemed to have a calming effect. Moreover, I appreciated that it's more affordable compared to other brands' products.
ConsIt would have been even better if it had a fine mist spray! Also, this product alone can't provide 100% hydration. That's why I used it in combination with another toner.
TipAfter cleansing, without drying my face, I sprayed on the mist and patted it in. Then I applied it to a cotton pad and used it as an exfoliating toner. After that, I patted in the Uriage Jemose toner twice more for better absorption. Oh! It was especially great for doing a toner mask! I soaked a large cotton pad from Lohb's with plenty of product and used it as a soothing mask. It felt moisturizing and calming! Also, when removing makeup, I used it like a cleansing water by spraying a lot on a cotton pad and gently wiping, followed by oil and foam cleansing. It worked perfectly for this purpose too. No blemishes were triggered!

Aroma: I absolutely loved the scent! It's a subtle mugwort fragrance that's not overpowering. It felt soothing and healing for my redness-prone, blotchy skin. Texture: It has a watery consistency! I found it easy and convenient to use as an exfoliating toner by applying it with a cotton pad. For someone with extremely dry skin like me, where both the surface and deeper layers are parched, I typically prefer products with some oil content. After cleansing, I used it as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad, then sprayed it on again. I could see a protective layer forming on my skin, giving it a glow. As a result, I didn't need to apply my usual jojoba oil. A big plus was that it simplified my skincare routine by reducing the number of steps.
ConsHowever... there were more downsides than I expected. Absorption: It took a while to sink in, so I had to wait for it to absorb. Application: While my face appeared to have a glow, it felt more like excess oil on the surface rather than deep hydration. It was sticky, and in my case, layering it multiple times as I usually do with toners made me worry about potential blemishes. Spray mechanism: Given that it's a mist with oil content, if it had a fine mist spray, I would have carried it around to use over makeup like an oil mist. However, with the current spray, it seems like it would remove all my makeup if I tried to use it that way. Initially, it felt like it had a rich texture, but when I tried to apply makeup after my skincare routine, my skin felt extremely dry. It seems that despite being an oil-rich product, it doesn't absorb well and just sits on the surface of the skin.
TipIt works well when I spray it on a beauty blender from Daiso before applying foundation!

The scent is nice, and when applied, you can feel a typical oil sensation, but it's not heavy or long-lasting. Instead, it has a light oily feel, making it suitable even for those with oily skin like me. Plus, it didn't cause any blemishes, and my skin actually improved, making me think, 'Oh, this is pretty good!' I could definitely feel my skin becoming more hydrated deep down. When reading reviews, I didn't quite understand what people meant by 'inner hydration,' but after experiencing it myself, I immediately got what they were talking about!
ConsThe spray power feels a bit weak, like it's just spitting out some water droplets. The spray isn't that great! Also, I'm not too fond of the oily feeling. Since I have oily skin, I really dislike anything that feels oily...
TipDue to the poor spray power, it's better to spray it on a cotton pad and gently press it onto your skin like a mask. If you do this after your toner, even those with oily skin won't feel the oiliness and will love it! If you spray it directly on your face without a cotton pad, you'll definitely feel the oil on your skin. I recommend using it at night before bed rather than in the morning, though people with dry skin might find it good to use in the morning too. It really does provide that deep hydration that feels so good!

I had been using Blibli's Mugwort Essence and Mugwort Ampoule. Through The Hwahae Testers program, I got to try another mugwort product, so I made some comparisons. First, the texture seems similar to Blibli's Mugwort Ampoule. The spray isn't a fine mist, but it's adjustable. Despite having combination dehydrated skin with a tendency towards dryness, and usually only using lightweight products, this felt slightly rich when sprayed. However, as time passed, unlike other mists, it seemed to help with deep dryness. What I liked most was how it calmed my skin texture! I've had severe forehead blemishes and tried many famous products, but when I use this after Dajayeon's Houttuynia Cordata pack and moisturizer, my skin texture seems less noticeable the next day.
ConsAs mentioned earlier, since it's not a fine mist, you need to spray carefully. Also, if you spray it on your bangs, it can make them greasy, so make sure to avoid your hair and let it absorb into your skin.
