- Tried this brand for the first time after seeing it on sale at Cou* - Leaves a refreshing finish - Despite having sensitive skin, it didn't cause any tingling or itching - First time seeing a red toner, gives me a feeling it might be even better for soothing - Using it as the first step in my skincare routine with satisfaction The toner leaks if the bottle tips over, even with the cap closed - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 29, 2020
The best aspects were its soothing effect and how it felt on my skin. While it didn't dramatically eliminate blemishes, there was a noticeable calming effect. It was particularly effective in reducing redness. The texture was incredibly refreshing - it didn't feel like I had applied anything, just that my skin had absorbed a burst of hydration. The generous amount in the bottle was also a plus! It's more refreshing than deeply moisturizing, so I'm not sure how those with super dry skin might find it... I think you could see even better results if you use it alongside their Red Spot Emulsion. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJul 28, 2020
This product works well as a skin pack or for toning. It has a flowing, red liquid texture that feels fresh and lightweight on the skin! The ingredients could be better, and compared to other products, it was less effective at soothing my skin. I usually apply toner on a cotton pad to calm any hives on my eyelids, but this one didn't provide as much relief. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
It's fantastic for calming redness! Highly recommended! There's a subtle floral scent, which is quite pleasant. The texture is quite fluid. When you first apply it, it feels slippery like hyaluronic acid, but then it absorbs quickly, leaving your skin feeling soft. I loved how refreshing it felt. It's not the type that completely disappears without a trace, but rather leaves your skin feeling perfectly refreshed. It's an ideal hydrating toner for summer, providing deep moisture. What I loved most was how well it calmed redness. My complexion had been looking a bit uneven and blotchy, but using this really helped even out my skin tone and significantly reduced redness. It doesn't feel irritating at all and is great for soothing the skin. The value for money could be better. The volume isn't particularly large, but the price is quite high. Also, the container is on the heavy side, which made it a bit inconvenient to use. It would work well as a skin pack, and I also enjoyed mixing it with centella powder and using it as a mist! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinJul 24, 2020
※The Hwahae Testers review※ ✓ Blemishes To cut to the chase, using the Red Spot Toner helped reduce acne! Thanks to its soothing effect, it definitely calmed down both my small bumps and larger blemishes. ✓ Texture It's like water itself - I love it! ✓ Scent It has a sweet yet fresh fragrance. At first, I thought, 'Hmm, it smells a bit artificial, kind of like soap bubbles?' But the more I used it, the more I fell in love with the scent. If anyone's worried about the fragrance, definitely give it a try. Personally, I absolutely adore it. ✓ Sensitivity I've had sensitive skin for a long time, but from the first use, I felt no irritation. Of course, it's still gentle now! Highly recommended. ✓ Hydration It's super moisturizing. There was no deep dryness at all, and the oil and moisture balance is truly top-notch. ✓ Toner mask Using it as a toner mask with thin cotton pads is absolutely amazing... I've tried so many toners, but this one's the best. It absorbs well too! For some reason, the toner itself feels cool. Thanks to this, my makeup also applied smoothly. ✓ Finish It's really lightweight and fresh. Just before it's fully absorbed, there's a slightly firm, sticky feeling? It suits my style, so I liked it. ✓ Dead skin cells I used to exfoliate once every two weeks, but since using this toner, I haven't felt the need to. After trying it, I found it suits my oily skin perfectly, so I'd especially recommend it for those with oily or combination skin. ✓ Lasting power The moisturizing effect fades relatively quickly. For those with very dry skin, it's best to apply it along with a moisturizer. For me, with oily skin, it was just right. ✓ Amount While it's not a small amount, when you flip the toner bottle, a lot comes out at once. Maybe that's why I've used up half the bottle in less than a month. For students, the price might be a bit burdensome considering the amount. Using the Red Spot Toner with a light serum creates a solid skincare base for summer... Let's go! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
I love the light and refreshing scent. I thought the bottle was red, but it was actually the toner itself that's red - how interesting and cool! It seems to help calm down acne and blemishes a bit, which is nice. I don't think it has a significant effect on the skin. The advertising might be a bit exaggerated. There's a distinct cosmetic or chemical smell that I'm not too fond of. Also, the toner flows too easily when applying, making it a bit messy. It works well as a toner pack when used with cotton pads. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinJul 24, 2020
Review from The Hwahae Testers! I used this as an exfoliating toner due to its thin consistency. I appreciated that the fragrance wasn't overpowering, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The product seemed gentle, as I didn't experience any blemishes while using it. I even noticed a slight soothing effect. I expected it to feel watery, but surprisingly, it had a touch of richness, giving the impression of a well-balanced oil and moisture ratio. This makes it ideal for those who can't use heavy, nourishing products and prefer a fresh morning skincare routine. I personally use it more in the mornings than evenings. And the packaging is quite attractive too! I didn't notice any dramatically impressive results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 24, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. Despite my skin being sensitive due to an IPL treatment at a dermatologist's office in mid-July, this product applies smoothly without irritation and has a pleasant texture. I was concerned about the high content of PEG, but it feels refreshing without causing any blemishes. For reference, I have sensitive, acne-prone combination skin. Recently, my skin has become more sensitive due to IPL treatment, and acne scar healing has slowed down. I'm using this consistently, hoping it will help with dark spots. It has a pretty reddish tint due to the hibiscus ingredient, but don't worry - it's not artificial coloring. Generally, this would be great for those who respond well to centella and want to combat deep dryness in summer. I plan to repurchase. I use toners very liberally. I not only do the 5-layer cotton pad method but also apply it generously 2-3 times when using it as a skin-soaking toner. Because of this, the volume feels a bit lacking. However, since it's gentle and effectively addresses deep dryness, I'm considering repurchasing. Due to the IPL treatment, I initially only used it as a skin-soaking toner, but recently I've started using it as an exfoliating toner as well, and it feels refreshing. I'd recommend it as a gentle toner after laser treatments too. It's not greasy, making it suitable for oily and combination skin types. Since centella and natural ingredients are said to be good for acne scar care, those with combination skin and acne concerns like me might find it beneficial to try. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 24, 2020
Here's my review as one of The Hwahae Testers! First off, I loved that the ingredients are gentle! After applying, I didn't experience any blemishes or redness. The scent is absolutely divine! It has a slightly sweet, lychee-like fragrance that's subtle and mood-lifting. I usually dislike heavy toners, but this one feels light and refreshing. When I did a skin pack at night, I noticed visibly calmed redness and irritation in the morning. I personally found it fantastic! It also worked great as a base before makeup, helping my foundation apply smoothly. When it first arrived, I was a bit surprised by how heavy it felt when I picked up the bottle! There's a slight stickiness to it. However, I didn't find it particularly bothersome. Personally, I found it great as a skin pack before bed for its soothing effects. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
I was pleasantly surprised by how hydrating it was! I used it as a nightly toner pad mask, and it felt so refreshing - it really lifted my spirits. Recently, I've been dealing with a lot of small blemishes and odd breakouts that left my skin slightly red, but I was amazed at how much it improved. I also love that it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. The color is a soft pink, which I found quite pretty. It ran out faster than I expected. I'm not sure if it's because I used it as a nightly mask, but that was a bit disappointing. Also, the glass bottle made it quite heavy. I recommend using it as a toner pad mask by soaking cotton pads! It's refreshing and really boosts your mood.
