It absorbs so smoothly and doesn't feel heavy at all! It's non-irritating and really calms the skin well. Now that it's winter, the hydration could be better, but since it's a toner specifically for blemishes, I think it'll be fine if you follow up with a serum and moisturizer! It's great to soak a thin cotton pad with it and leave it on like a mask - works wonders! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 8, 2020
I absolutely love this product! The scent is wonderful, but most importantly, it's amazing for calming my skin. I'm definitely going to repurchase it. Honestly, my skin has improved so much since I started using it. Dr. Jart+, you have my heart! The only downside is that it's hard to find since it's not available at Olive Young or Lohb's. Please, please make it more accessible! It's especially difficult for students to get their hands on it. Here's a pro tip: decant it into a spray bottle and use it as a mist throughout the day for even better results. I'm telling you, once you start using this, you won't want to use anything else. Stock up when it's on sale, or you'll regret it later! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 29, 2020
The best aspects were its soothing effect and how it felt on my skin. While it didn't dramatically eliminate blemishes, there was a noticeable calming effect. It was particularly effective in reducing redness. The texture was incredibly refreshing - it didn't feel like I had applied anything, just that my skin had absorbed a burst of hydration. The generous amount in the bottle was also a plus! It's more refreshing than deeply moisturizing, so I'm not sure how those with super dry skin might find it... I think you could see even better results if you use it alongside their Red Spot Emulsion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 27, 2020
The Hwahae Testers This toner is incredibly hydrating and provides excellent moisture. The ingredients are so good that during the two weeks I used it, my redness disappeared and I didn't experience any blemishes! It has a great soothing effect too. On days when my skin was irritated, I used it as a skin pack, and when applied after cleansing, it quickly calmed my skin. I'm prone to blemishes around my nose area, so I soaked a cotton pad with the toner and left it on the red, troubled areas for 3-5 minutes. By the next morning, the redness had significantly reduced. Overall, after wiping my face with it, I found it gently refined my skin texture. The luxurious packaging also makes it a pleasure to use. I'm using this as an exfoliating toner, but it's difficult to dispense. I have to shake it several times to get enough product out. While the container is pretty, it's a bit heavy. I recommend using it with a cotton pad for exfoliating rather than applying it with your hands! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 25, 2020
Abundant hydration. This low pH toner balances the skin. Even with just the toner, my face doesn't feel dry but becomes delightfully moist. The scent is subtle without any artificial fragrance, so it's likely to suit everyone's preferences! My husband and I used it together. He has seborrheic dermatitis and is prone to redness, but this seemed to have a calming effect. When I wiped his face and applied it generously on cotton pads to his cheeks, the redness would quickly subside. He loves that there's no skin tightness, and it feels as moisturizing as if he'd applied an essence. I have combination dehydrated skin, but whether it was due to my skin condition being off, even when I used it solely as an exfoliating toner, I kept getting small blemishes around my nose area. My face became slightly oily, as if it was over-nourished. I'm not sure if it's a purging phase or if it just doesn't suit me... Given the ingredients and benefits, these issues should have improved, so I don't understand why it's only happening to me. I even tried using it alone without any other skincare products, but the problem persisted. However, it worked great for my husband who has oily skin. Not only as an exfoliating toner, but as advertised, when you soak cotton pads generously and gently press them onto your face, it works like a soothing mask, leaving your skin moisturized with a great calming effect. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
Initially, I was skeptical about using this product since the scent wasn't to my liking. However, I decided to give it a fair try since I won it. Now, on the fourth day of use, I'm pleasantly surprised! My skin, which had become sensitive due to wearing masks, feels much calmer. It absorbs well without any irritation, and I'm more satisfied than I expected. Haha! The fragrance isn't my cup of tea. It has that typical cosmetic smell, which made me think it might not be anything special. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
It's fantastic for calming redness! Highly recommended! There's a subtle floral scent, which is quite pleasant. The texture is quite fluid. When you first apply it, it feels slippery like hyaluronic acid, but then it absorbs quickly, leaving your skin feeling soft. I loved how refreshing it felt. It's not the type that completely disappears without a trace, but rather leaves your skin feeling perfectly refreshed. It's an ideal hydrating toner for summer, providing deep moisture. What I loved most was how well it calmed redness. My complexion had been looking a bit uneven and blotchy, but using this really helped even out my skin tone and significantly reduced redness. It doesn't feel irritating at all and is great for soothing the skin. The value for money could be better. The volume isn't particularly large, but the price is quite high. Also, the container is on the heavy side, which made it a bit inconvenient to use. It would work well as a skin pack, and I also enjoyed mixing it with centella powder and using it as a mist! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
Here's my review as a member of The Hwahae Testers after using this product for two weeks: Fragrance: It has a subtle rose scent. As someone sensitive to fragrances, I found it not artificial at all and not bothersome during use. In fact, I quite enjoyed the scent. Texture and Feel: This toner is bursting with hydration. Due to its high moisture content, I used it as a skin pack. Generously soaking cotton pads and leaving them on for 10-15 minutes not only calmed my skin but also left it feeling wonderfully hydrated. In this hot and humid weather, I didn't even need to apply additional cream after the skin pack - it wasn't dry at all! If you have dry skin, you can achieve super hydrated skin care by following the skin pack with just a light moisturizer. Soothing Effect: It quickly calmed my skin, which is prone to redness. When I used it as a skin pack on sudden breakouts, while it didn't completely eliminate the blemishes, it did reduce the heat and inflammation. Packaging & Color: The product comes in a heavy glass bottle. While it's not particularly cumbersome to use, I wish they'd switch to plastic packaging and lower the price. The color is uniquely red. I was initially concerned about artificial coloring, but was relieved to learn it's from natural pigments. - The glass packaging is a downside. As mentioned earlier, I'd prefer if it came in a plastic container. - Since I mostly use it as a skin pack, it seems to run out quickly. Given the quantity, the price point feels a bit high, making it a bit of a financial burden. - Other than that, I have no complaints. - Make sure to try it as a skin pack. The strength of this toner is its intense hydration, and using it as a skin pack really maximizes this benefit. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinJul 24, 2020
※The Hwahae Testers review※ ✓ Blemishes To cut to the chase, using the Red Spot Toner helped reduce acne! Thanks to its soothing effect, it definitely calmed down both my small bumps and larger blemishes. ✓ Texture It's like water itself - I love it! ✓ Scent It has a sweet yet fresh fragrance. At first, I thought, 'Hmm, it smells a bit artificial, kind of like soap bubbles?' But the more I used it, the more I fell in love with the scent. If anyone's worried about the fragrance, definitely give it a try. Personally, I absolutely adore it. ✓ Sensitivity I've had sensitive skin for a long time, but from the first use, I felt no irritation. Of course, it's still gentle now! Highly recommended. ✓ Hydration It's super moisturizing. There was no deep dryness at all, and the oil and moisture balance is truly top-notch. ✓ Toner mask Using it as a toner mask with thin cotton pads is absolutely amazing... I've tried so many toners, but this one's the best. It absorbs well too! For some reason, the toner itself feels cool. Thanks to this, my makeup also applied smoothly. ✓ Finish It's really lightweight and fresh. Just before it's fully absorbed, there's a slightly firm, sticky feeling? It suits my style, so I liked it. ✓ Dead skin cells I used to exfoliate once every two weeks, but since using this toner, I haven't felt the need to. After trying it, I found it suits my oily skin perfectly, so I'd especially recommend it for those with oily or combination skin. ✓ Lasting power The moisturizing effect fades relatively quickly. For those with very dry skin, it's best to apply it along with a moisturizer. For me, with oily skin, it was just right. ✓ Amount While it's not a small amount, when you flip the toner bottle, a lot comes out at once. Maybe that's why I've used up half the bottle in less than a month. For students, the price might be a bit burdensome considering the amount. Using the Red Spot Toner with a light serum creates a solid skincare base for summer... Let's go! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
I love the light and refreshing scent. I thought the bottle was red, but it was actually the toner itself that's red - how interesting and cool! It seems to help calm down acne and blemishes a bit, which is nice. I don't think it has a significant effect on the skin. The advertising might be a bit exaggerated. There's a distinct cosmetic or chemical smell that I'm not too fond of. Also, the toner flows too easily when applying, making it a bit messy. It works well as a toner pack when used with cotton pads.
