1. First off, I usually apply toner with a cotton pad, so this watery toner is perfect! 2. The scent is lovely. Often, fragrances in skincare can be overpowering or harsh, but this one has a subtle, sweet aroma that's really nice. Even my mom, who typically dislikes scented cosmetics, approves of this toner's fragrance. 3. It's non-irritating. I have sensitive skin and prefer gentle products. This one doesn't cause any irritation, even when used around the eyes. 4. With most toners, it's a struggle to get the right amount on a cotton pad - either too little comes out or you end up with way too much. This one dispenses just the right amount with about three taps, which is enough to saturate the pad nicely. Hmm... I haven't found any drawbacks yet. Though, the fragrance might be a matter of personal preference. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 25, 2020
Abundant hydration. This low pH toner balances the skin. Even with just the toner, my face doesn't feel dry but becomes delightfully moist. The scent is subtle without any artificial fragrance, so it's likely to suit everyone's preferences! My husband and I used it together. He has seborrheic dermatitis and is prone to redness, but this seemed to have a calming effect. When I wiped his face and applied it generously on cotton pads to his cheeks, the redness would quickly subside. He loves that there's no skin tightness, and it feels as moisturizing as if he'd applied an essence. I have combination dehydrated skin, but whether it was due to my skin condition being off, even when I used it solely as an exfoliating toner, I kept getting small blemishes around my nose area. My face became slightly oily, as if it was over-nourished. I'm not sure if it's a purging phase or if it just doesn't suit me... Given the ingredients and benefits, these issues should have improved, so I don't understand why it's only happening to me. I even tried using it alone without any other skincare products, but the problem persisted. However, it worked great for my husband who has oily skin. Not only as an exfoliating toner, but as advertised, when you soak cotton pads generously and gently press them onto your face, it works like a soothing mask, leaving your skin moisturized with a great calming effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
Here's my review as one of The Hwahae Testers: First off, I loved that the scent was just right - not too strong, not too weak, but perfectly pleasant. As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm usually cautious about changing my skincare or base products. Fortunately, this didn't cause any flare-ups or swelling! Unfortunately, I didn't notice any changes in my skin... There was absolutely no difference. While I mentioned it as a positive point earlier, I think it's actually a bigger drawback. Also, I found it a bit sticky and felt it lacked sufficient hydration. The price is a bit steep as well, which is disappointing. If you're not looking for any special features and just want a light exfoliating toner, this might be a decent option! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
Here's my review as a member of The Hwahae Testers after using this product for two weeks: Fragrance: It has a subtle rose scent. As someone sensitive to fragrances, I found it not artificial at all and not bothersome during use. In fact, I quite enjoyed the scent. Texture and Feel: This toner is bursting with hydration. Due to its high moisture content, I used it as a skin pack. Generously soaking cotton pads and leaving them on for 10-15 minutes not only calmed my skin but also left it feeling wonderfully hydrated. In this hot and humid weather, I didn't even need to apply additional cream after the skin pack - it wasn't dry at all! If you have dry skin, you can achieve super hydrated skin care by following the skin pack with just a light moisturizer. Soothing Effect: It quickly calmed my skin, which is prone to redness. When I used it as a skin pack on sudden breakouts, while it didn't completely eliminate the blemishes, it did reduce the heat and inflammation. Packaging & Color: The product comes in a heavy glass bottle. While it's not particularly cumbersome to use, I wish they'd switch to plastic packaging and lower the price. The color is uniquely red. I was initially concerned about artificial coloring, but was relieved to learn it's from natural pigments. - The glass packaging is a downside. As mentioned earlier, I'd prefer if it came in a plastic container. - Since I mostly use it as a skin pack, it seems to run out quickly. Given the quantity, the price point feels a bit high, making it a bit of a financial burden. - Other than that, I have no complaints. - Make sure to try it as a skin pack. The strength of this toner is its intense hydration, and using it as a skin pack really maximizes this benefit. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! First, my skin type is combination. In summer, my U-zone is dry, but my T-zone gets extremely oily! I also have super sensitive skin, so if a product doesn't suit me, I get blemishes. Hormonal acne is also an issue for me. That's why I often use soothing toners when my skin acts up! Scent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The scent is so mild it's almost non-existent! I didn't have any aversion to it because it's not overpowering. Color As the name suggests, it's red! Texture ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The texture is a thin liquid, making it easy to apply lightly. It's also great for using as a mask with cotton pads. Effectiveness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I've tried various ampoules and soothing toners when I get blemishes, but this one seems really effective! When I put it on troubled areas with a cotton pad, it feels cooling from deep within the skin, soothing it. It's great for summer when your skin feels hot. I really want to stick with this product! Hydration ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I'm not sure about the hydration level. It feels like a regular toner? In summer, my face gets a bit oily, so I only apply toner or ampoule lightly. It's suitably moisturizing for summer use, but in winter, I definitely need to apply an emulsion too. I don't find it particularly hydrating, hence the 3-star rating. However, it does provide some moisture! If there's a downside... maybe the price? It's a bit pricey for daily use as a mask with cotton pads. But since I only use it when my skin is acting up, it's not too disappointing! Considering its effectiveness, ingredients, and price... I approve! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
➡️ This is a review from The Hwahae Testers ⬅️ First, my skin type is typically combination - oily in the T-zone and slightly dry on the cheeks. I also have super sensitive skin, so I easily get blemishes if I use products that don't suit me or aren't gentle. 🌱 Texture It has a water-like consistency, perfect for exfoliating toner application! 🌱 Scent There's a subtle, delicate fragrance. I think it's due to the hibiscus ingredient, but to me it smells similar to roses. It's very close to the scent of Isoi Bulgarian Rose Lip Treatment! The scent isn't strong or unique enough to be polarizing, but it might be a bit much for those who really dislike scented products or prefer fragrance-free options. Personally, I loved the subtle scent. 🌱 Packaging I didn't notice from the product photos, but my first impression upon receiving it was how luxurious the packaging is. It's not a thin, cheap container at all, but a weighty glass bottle! When I first opened the lid, I saw it was carefully sealed with a stopper too. 🌱 Absorption When used as an exfoliating toner, it feels moisturizing at first but absorbs to a soft finish. It doesn't leave a sticky residue, so it's great for summer use without feeling uncomfortable! There's just the right amount of oil - even combination or oily skin types could use it comfortably! It feels like 95% hydration and 5% oil, with hydration being much more noticeable. Compared to the Dewytree Centella Essence I was using before, this feels less oily! 🌱 Soothing effect As someone with sensitive skin who usually breaks out from non-gentle products, I was worried at first because it contains one caution ingredient. However, I used it without any issues! When I started using this toner, I had some mask-related blemishes, but after about 3 days of use, I could feel my skin calming down. It seems like a product you can use cleanly without over-nourishing your skin. 🍁 Scent Those who only use fragrance-free products might find the scent burdensome. However, I found the scent so pleasant that I consider it a plus point for the product! 🍁 Price It's not exactly budget-friendly, so the price point is a bit disappointing. 🌼 I found it particularly effective in soothing irritated skin after extracting acne when applied with a cotton swab or pad! It seems like it would work well as a post-extraction calming treatment. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinJul 24, 2020
※The Hwahae Testers review※ ✓ Blemishes To cut to the chase, using the Red Spot Toner helped reduce acne! Thanks to its soothing effect, it definitely calmed down both my small bumps and larger blemishes. ✓ Texture It's like water itself - I love it! ✓ Scent It has a sweet yet fresh fragrance. At first, I thought, 'Hmm, it smells a bit artificial, kind of like soap bubbles?' But the more I used it, the more I fell in love with the scent. If anyone's worried about the fragrance, definitely give it a try. Personally, I absolutely adore it. ✓ Sensitivity I've had sensitive skin for a long time, but from the first use, I felt no irritation. Of course, it's still gentle now! Highly recommended. ✓ Hydration It's super moisturizing. There was no deep dryness at all, and the oil and moisture balance is truly top-notch. ✓ Toner mask Using it as a toner mask with thin cotton pads is absolutely amazing... I've tried so many toners, but this one's the best. It absorbs well too! For some reason, the toner itself feels cool. Thanks to this, my makeup also applied smoothly. ✓ Finish It's really lightweight and fresh. Just before it's fully absorbed, there's a slightly firm, sticky feeling? It suits my style, so I liked it. ✓ Dead skin cells I used to exfoliate once every two weeks, but since using this toner, I haven't felt the need to. After trying it, I found it suits my oily skin perfectly, so I'd especially recommend it for those with oily or combination skin. ✓ Lasting power The moisturizing effect fades relatively quickly. For those with very dry skin, it's best to apply it along with a moisturizer. For me, with oily skin, it was just right. ✓ Amount While it's not a small amount, when you flip the toner bottle, a lot comes out at once. Maybe that's why I've used up half the bottle in less than a month. For students, the price might be a bit burdensome considering the amount. Using the Red Spot Toner with a light serum creates a solid skincare base for summer... Let's go! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 24, 2020
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin, dislikes oiliness (This review is short and sweet) Scent: Similar to the Bring Green Carrot Serum It has a vitamin-like scent, not too strong but noticeable A mild fragrance that shouldn't be polarizing Texture: Completely watery toner Seems optimized for the 7-skin method Hydration: Being a water-based toner, it doesn't leave much residue Not bad for the 3-skin method No oiliness Unique feature: The red color of the toner surprises me every time I use it It's just a first step, nothing more, nothing less Using it only once doesn't seem enough, especially for oily skin types as it might lead to more oil production later Price: While the volume is generous... hmm... It seems to focus on acne-fighting effects, but that wasn't particularly noticeable Apply it with a cotton pad for the 7-skin method, or use your hands to pat it in after your regular toner - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! My skin type: I have combination dehydrated skin that's also super sensitive! I've been using this product for about 12 days, applying it after cleansing in the morning and evening, and also as a spot treatment mask on certain areas of my face. Scent: When applied to the face, the fragrance isn't harsh at all. It has a subtle floral scent that even those with sensitive noses should be able to tolerate. Application: The formula is quite fluid, making it easy to apply and absorb. It's also great for use as a mask when applied with a cotton pad. Hydration & Absorption: Even when used alone, it provides enough hydration to prevent skin from feeling tight. If you feel you need more moisture, you can always layer an ampoule or serum on top. As for absorption, it really feels like it's deeply hydrating the skin. The light texture allows for quick absorption, leaving the skin feeling moisturized! Blemishes: As this is a toner for troubled skin, it did help calm down redness and soothe sensitive blemishes to some extent. During the period of use, I did experience 2-3 pustular pimples. (I think this was due to another product I was using rather than this toner.) Even so, using this toner as a mask seemed to help reduce these pimples slightly! I would recommend this for those with oily skin types. However, I wouldn't recommend it for those with dry skin who need both hydration and oil balance. If you feel like you need more hydration, try applying an extra layer and letting it absorb, or follow up with an ampoule or serum for added moisture! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 23, 2020
※This is a review from The Hwahae Testers※ My skin type: Oily, prone to many small blemishes *Scent: A subtle lemon fragrance. The scent isn't overpowering, so even those sensitive to smells should be able to use it comfortably! *Texture: Slightly thinner than water. This thin consistency makes it great for use as an exfoliating toner or skin pack! <After-use review> *Improvement of small blemishes: After about a week of use, I felt like the small blemishes had noticeably subsided overall *High hydration: I have oily skin with some deep dryness, but even when using this toner alone, I didn't feel any tightness or dryness in my skin *Quick absorption: Despite having a slightly rich texture, it absorbs quickly and leaves a fresh finish *Bottle opening: The size of the bottle opening is just right, making it easy to control the amount *Non-irritating *It didn't show much effect on cystic acne. But I think this is because I expected too much from just a toner. *It's not entirely oil-free, so those with very oily skin might find it a bit heavy. Overall, it seems to be a gentle toner that both oily and dry skin types can use without issues. For super sensitive skin, exfoliating toners can be irritating and may damage the skin barrier! If you have sensitive skin, I recommend gently patting the product in with your hands instead of using it as an exfoliating toner. Try using it chilled in the summer for a refreshing feel!
