It's great for a light skincare routine. The scent seems nice, and the packaging is pretty. The texture is water-like. I have super sensitive skin, and when I apply it, I feel a burning sensation. If I put it near my eyes, it stings too much, so now I only use it as a toner mask by soaking it in a pad. I'm not sure if it's hydrating or moisturizing. Using it with a used pad seems to be a good way to recycle pads and makes it convenient to use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 8, 2020
I absolutely love this product! The scent is wonderful, but most importantly, it's amazing for calming my skin. I'm definitely going to repurchase it. Honestly, my skin has improved so much since I started using it. Dr. Jart+, you have my heart! The only downside is that it's hard to find since it's not available at Olive Young or Lohb's. Please, please make it more accessible! It's especially difficult for students to get their hands on it. Here's a pro tip: decant it into a spray bottle and use it as a mist throughout the day for even better results. I'm telling you, once you start using this, you won't want to use anything else. Stock up when it's on sale, or you'll regret it later! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 28, 2020
1. First off, I usually apply toner with a cotton pad, so this watery toner is perfect! 2. The scent is lovely. Often, fragrances in skincare can be overpowering or harsh, but this one has a subtle, sweet aroma that's really nice. Even my mom, who typically dislikes scented cosmetics, approves of this toner's fragrance. 3. It's non-irritating. I have sensitive skin and prefer gentle products. This one doesn't cause any irritation, even when used around the eyes. 4. With most toners, it's a struggle to get the right amount on a cotton pad - either too little comes out or you end up with way too much. This one dispenses just the right amount with about three taps, which is enough to saturate the pad nicely. Hmm... I haven't found any drawbacks yet. Though, the fragrance might be a matter of personal preference. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 25, 2020
Sorry for the slightly delayed review due to exams! Let's dive in now! First off, I was amazed by how beautiful the bottle is when I received it. The scent is absolutely divine - it's truly top-notch! I recently had some red, bumpy blemishes on my skin, but they disappeared in just 3 days. I was so impressed! By using this toner consistently every day, I noticed my complexion became brighter and my blemishes subsided quickly. It was fantastic! The texture is like a thin, watery liquid. As for the color, it's a transparent red tint. The glass bottle is a bit heavy and might be prone to breaking. It's not very convenient for carrying around as a travel-sized option! The generous amount makes it perfect for doing toner mask routines. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
Here's my review as one of The Hwahae Testers: First off, I loved that the scent was just right - not too strong, not too weak, but perfectly pleasant. As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm usually cautious about changing my skincare or base products. Fortunately, this didn't cause any flare-ups or swelling! Unfortunately, I didn't notice any changes in my skin... There was absolutely no difference. While I mentioned it as a positive point earlier, I think it's actually a bigger drawback. Also, I found it a bit sticky and felt it lacked sufficient hydration. The price is a bit steep as well, which is disappointing. If you're not looking for any special features and just want a light exfoliating toner, this might be a decent option! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! For reference, I have dry, sensitive skin prone to small blemishes, haha... Let's start with the texture - it's like flowing water! So for those with dry skin like me, using this toner alone might be a bit challenging. The liquid is a light pink color, and the scent is like a fresh, floral shampoo (it might be hit or miss for some, but I personally love it!). When applied, it makes your skin feel hydrated momentarily before quickly absorbing. There's no sticky residue or transfer when touching your face afterward. It would be great for summer use, but might not be ideal for seasonal changes or winter. I have extremely dry, sensitive skin that seems to drink up even the richest moisturizers within minutes. I was worried about trying a new product, but this one was surprisingly gentle - I didn't experience any tingling sensation at all. If you're using it alone, I'd recommend it for a light morning application rather than evening use! Please refer to the photos for packaging details! Please check the positive points above. + It doesn't seem to be a product that dramatically improves blemishes. After being selected for The Hwahae Testers, I used it daily, but my skin actually felt less soothed. If you're considering this product specifically for blemishes, I'd suggest doing more research before making a decision! Since it might be insufficient on its own, consider using it in combination with other products to maintain hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 24, 2020
First off, my skin type is combination dehydrated with occasional chin blemishes. Personally, I loved the subtle fragrance. Usually, toners for acne-prone skin have a strong alcohol scent, but this one seems to be very gentle. Most reviews I've seen mention using this as an exfoliating toner. I already have one for that purpose, so I applied this after my exfoliating toner. However, I noticed small blemishes appearing on my chin. It might be due to my menstrual cycle... After using it for two days, I felt like sebum was constantly building up, so I've stopped using it for now. While it didn't cause any cystic acne, it felt too hydrating and left a slight coating feeling that didn't seem to suit my skin. I plan to try it again after my cycle ends, this time as an exfoliating toner. Looking at reviews from 2019, it seems the lid was more convenient back then. The current twist-open design is prettier, though! I'll update my review after giving it another try. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
It's fantastic for calming redness! Highly recommended! There's a subtle floral scent, which is quite pleasant. The texture is quite fluid. When you first apply it, it feels slippery like hyaluronic acid, but then it absorbs quickly, leaving your skin feeling soft. I loved how refreshing it felt. It's not the type that completely disappears without a trace, but rather leaves your skin feeling perfectly refreshed. It's an ideal hydrating toner for summer, providing deep moisture. What I loved most was how well it calmed redness. My complexion had been looking a bit uneven and blotchy, but using this really helped even out my skin tone and significantly reduced redness. It doesn't feel irritating at all and is great for soothing the skin. The value for money could be better. The volume isn't particularly large, but the price is quite high. Also, the container is on the heavy side, which made it a bit inconvenient to use. It would work well as a skin pack, and I also enjoyed mixing it with centella powder and using it as a mist! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
Here's my review as a member of The Hwahae Testers after using this product for two weeks: Fragrance: It has a subtle rose scent. As someone sensitive to fragrances, I found it not artificial at all and not bothersome during use. In fact, I quite enjoyed the scent. Texture and Feel: This toner is bursting with hydration. Due to its high moisture content, I used it as a skin pack. Generously soaking cotton pads and leaving them on for 10-15 minutes not only calmed my skin but also left it feeling wonderfully hydrated. In this hot and humid weather, I didn't even need to apply additional cream after the skin pack - it wasn't dry at all! If you have dry skin, you can achieve super hydrated skin care by following the skin pack with just a light moisturizer. Soothing Effect: It quickly calmed my skin, which is prone to redness. When I used it as a skin pack on sudden breakouts, while it didn't completely eliminate the blemishes, it did reduce the heat and inflammation. Packaging & Color: The product comes in a heavy glass bottle. While it's not particularly cumbersome to use, I wish they'd switch to plastic packaging and lower the price. The color is uniquely red. I was initially concerned about artificial coloring, but was relieved to learn it's from natural pigments. - The glass packaging is a downside. As mentioned earlier, I'd prefer if it came in a plastic container. - Since I mostly use it as a skin pack, it seems to run out quickly. Given the quantity, the price point feels a bit high, making it a bit of a financial burden. - Other than that, I have no complaints. - Make sure to try it as a skin pack. The strength of this toner is its intense hydration, and using it as a skin pack really maximizes this benefit. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! First, my skin type is combination. In summer, my U-zone is dry, but my T-zone gets extremely oily! I also have super sensitive skin, so if a product doesn't suit me, I get blemishes. Hormonal acne is also an issue for me. That's why I often use soothing toners when my skin acts up! Scent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The scent is so mild it's almost non-existent! I didn't have any aversion to it because it's not overpowering. Color As the name suggests, it's red! Texture ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The texture is a thin liquid, making it easy to apply lightly. It's also great for using as a mask with cotton pads. Effectiveness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I've tried various ampoules and soothing toners when I get blemishes, but this one seems really effective! When I put it on troubled areas with a cotton pad, it feels cooling from deep within the skin, soothing it. It's great for summer when your skin feels hot. I really want to stick with this product! Hydration ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I'm not sure about the hydration level. It feels like a regular toner? In summer, my face gets a bit oily, so I only apply toner or ampoule lightly. It's suitably moisturizing for summer use, but in winter, I definitely need to apply an emulsion too. I don't find it particularly hydrating, hence the 3-star rating. However, it does provide some moisture! If there's a downside... maybe the price? It's a bit pricey for daily use as a mask with cotton pads. But since I only use it when my skin is acting up, it's not too disappointing! Considering its effectiveness, ingredients, and price... I approve!
