※This is a review from The Hwahae Testers※ Color - Although it doesn't contain added pigments, it has a light reddish tint, possibly due to the hibiscus extract. It really hits my aesthetic sweet spot! Gentle ingredients - As you can see, the ingredients are very good! I've never experienced any blemishes while using it. As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm extremely satisfied. (Imagine me being handed a seal of approval!) Soothing - On days when my skin was irritated from being outside, I used it as a skin pack by soaking a cotton pad! The soothing effect is excellent. When used after cleansing on slightly flushed skin, redness quickly subsides. Also, perhaps because I've been using it for daily soothing care, the visible blood vessels on my thin U-zone skin seem much less noticeable. Hydration - For a water-based toner, it's incredibly moisturizing, and the hydration lasts quite a while. When I wipe my face with a soaked cotton pad, it feels like my complexion becomes clearer as it gets hydrated. Stickiness - No stickiness at all. Skin texture improvement - My skin texture has truly become softer! I've been using the Dokdo Toner, and while that makes skin firm and bouncy, the Red Toner makes it soft and moisturized. It's amazing... Oil and moisture balance - It's exactly as it says. You can feel the oil and moisture balance improving to some extent. And I'm not sure how to describe this, but there's a feeling like overall skin energy is rising? When my skin is very sensitive, even light makeup can cause irritation, but lately, while using this toner, I don't get blemishes even if I use the wrong cosmetics or experience irritation. I'm not sure why, haha (maybe it's just my imagination?) It doesn't seem to absorb that well... When applying it in layers, it doesn't feel like it's quickly absorbing, but rather sits on top a bit, so you need to pat it in well while it dries. Most water-based toners are like this, but since I've been using the thick Dokdo Toner (I keep comparing it to the Dokdo Toner, haha), it feels more soothing, which makes it seem like it's not absorbing as well. I recommend using it as an exfoliating toner! (Exfoliating toners are great, really great!) Container - It's in a red matte glass bottle! First of all, it's heavy... I occasionally had to carry it around, and it was heavy... And I was really scared it might break. Also, if it were in a clear container, the red color would have been more visible. I think this is a design element. The person who designed the container must have had their reasons, like wanting to emphasize the red concept or something. For skin irritated by sunlight, excessive cleansing, etc., try keeping it in the refrigerator and using it as a pack with a cotton pad for excellent soothing effects! Recommended to use as an exfoliating toner rather than applying in layers - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 24, 2020
As a member of The Hwahae Testers, I'd like to share my thoughts before diving into the review. (I'll include my usage tips later!) I have dry skin and I'm very interested in toners and mists as the first step in my skincare routine after cleansing. I've tried various products, and this Red Pot Toner seems perfect for the job! Even though my cotton pads tend to shed and don't release product well, this toner left minimal lint and transferred easily. This suggests it's great for maintaining hydration after cleansing. To compare with other toners, I used only the Red Pot Toner and Himalaya Cream. It caused minimal irritation, similar to my usual 100% Boseong green tea vegan toner. Even when applied to a popped blemish, it stung less than other toners. With just these two steps in my routine, I noticed the moisturizing effect lasted longer and there was less deep dryness compared to other toners and mists. While I haven't tried it as a toner mask, I think it would work well for that too! Above all, the scent is lovely! I'm sensitive to fragrances, but I enjoy this one. Others have even commented on how good I smell after using the Red Pot Toner! Lastly, it seems to even out my complexion. Perhaps due to its skin texture improving properties, it appears to balance out uneven skin tone, making my skin look cleaner overall. The main drawback is that, being a watery skin type, it feels like it sits on top of the skin a bit. While absorption isn't poor, it's not particularly fast, leaving a lingering sensation on the face. Like other toners, it tends to run down the bottle when dispensing, which can be wasteful. I used this as the first step in my skincare routine right after cleansing in the bathroom! After washing my face, I wiped it once with a cotton pad, then patted the toner onto my skin using my hands. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 23, 2020
Review selected by The Hwahae Testers ♥ I was chosen for The Hwahae Testers event and got to use this product. I have combination dehydrated skin that's super sensitive and prone to inflammatory acne. With all these challenging skin conditions, I'm always cautious when trying new products, even those with good ingredients. I've been using this for just under two weeks. 1. It doesn't cause new blemishes. The ingredients seem decent, and I didn't experience any irritation or breakouts. 2. It's a cleansing toner that still hydrates. It has a water-like texture that cleanses well while leaving a moisturized feeling. It feels nourishing, making it suitable for evening use. 1. Despite the seemingly good ingredients, I feel a slight warmth when I use it to cleanse my face. It's not hot, but there's a subtle, mild heat sensation. (While it doesn't cause blemishes, I wonder if it might not suit my skin.) 2. It leaves a moisturized feeling when applied, but it seems to hinder the absorption of other skincare products applied afterwards. There's a slight feeling of products sitting on top of the skin. I prefer a matte makeup finish. This product has a noticeable hydrating effect, and layering more products on top can feel a bit heavy. For skin types like mine, I'd recommend using it at night before bed, followed by a hydrating moisturizer to finish your routine.
