I have dry and sensitive skin, and I'm on my second day of using this product after seeing it recommended on YouTube. I've been using various brands without settling on one, so I was intrigued by Dr. Alga and decided to give it a try. Usually, when a product doesn't suit me, I get itchy and develop blemishes the next day, but I haven't experienced any of that yet. It's only been two days, so I'll need to use it more to get a detailed impression. The content has a pink-beige color, providing a brightening effect, which is perfect for these mask-wearing times. When I want to wear makeup but don't want to go for a full face, this gives me just enough of a complexion boost. I hope this becomes my go-to product. The thick and dense texture doesn't absorb very well. (Update) I initially thought the dense texture wouldn't absorb well, but I was surprised by how nicely it applies! For my dry skin, applying it with a damp sponge makes it feel more hydrating. I especially like that it doesn't leave residue on my hands. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 1, 2022
Usually, sunscreens tend to give me blemishes, but this product hasn't caused any breakouts! It also absorbs well on the skin. It occasionally leaves a white cast and the price is quite steep. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 26, 2022
Not drying at all Even though I have dry, sensitive skin and apply it thickly for over 8 hours, it doesn't dry out my skin or cause any blemishes. My skin definitely feels comfortable. Peachy brightening It gives a subtle peachy glow that's perfect for a no-foundation look. Just applying this alone makes your skin look beautiful. Smooth texture It has a rich feel without being heavy or pilling. It absorbs well. Excessive shine It's so shiny that if you apply it thickly down to your neck, the glow becomes excessive. It's almost comically over-the-top. Incompatible with masks When wearing a mask, it transfers and gets messy. It seems best to avoid using this during times when you need to wear a mask. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinApr 8, 2022
I love that it doesn't cause any acne or blemishes on my face! It also washes off easily when cleansing. It stings my eyes, so I can't apply it around that area, and it feels a bit rich. However, by evening my skin feels dry, with tightness around my forehead and cheeks. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMay 29, 2021
As someone with very dry skin, this product gave me a natural glow and made my skin look more vibrant, which suited me well. It also absorbed nicely. I didn't experience any blemishes, and even if I went to bed without washing it off, my skin felt comfortable. I think the case design could be a bit more luxurious. While the product itself is excellent and allows for a sophisticated skin appearance, I've always felt that the packaging doesn't quite reflect these great qualities. Those with oily skin might find it a bit rich. However, if you have dry skin, this will likely work wonders for you! Try applying about two finger-widths worth evenly. It's gentle on the skin and cleanses well. It actually leaves your skin hydrated with a beautiful glow! I found that my skin didn't become dry even after hours of wear. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 7, 2020
+ Even though it contains two ingredients that are supposedly not good for oily skin, I have combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes, and I didn't experience any breakouts after using this product. + It's fragrance-free, which might be suitable for those sensitive to scents. + I was so satisfied with Dr. Alga's mask packs that I decided to try their sunscreen, but I was completely disappointed. Firstly, the sunscreen isn't white but skin-colored. I wanted a light finish, but it left a white cast and didn't feel fresh after application. When I first squeezed it out, the water and sunscreen came out separated, which was a bit unsettling. Since I'm not wearing makeup these days and only applying sunscreen, it transfers onto my mask like foundation. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSep 14, 2020
The biggest advantage is that it's a silicone-free sunscreen with mineral UV filters. It has a moisturizing feel without being matte. Works well under foundation, especially with semi-matte or matte formulas. No eye irritation or blemishes. Even if it separates, gently massaging it helps it absorb smoothly. Using this alone can make skin look greasy, and darkening occurs over time. To avoid embarrassment, you need to apply a brightening moisturizer or light makeup before going out. Due to natural surfactants, the formula's binding is weak, causing separation of water and cream. It's unpleasant when water comes out first, followed by the sunscreen - it doesn't look neat and the water just drips down. I really dislike this feeling. With so many other good sunscreens available, I won't be repurchasing. To minimize separation, knead the tube container before squeezing out the product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 21, 2020
It seems to be made with gentle ingredients, so I haven't experienced any blemishes Why does water keep coming out of this sunscreen? I haven't even used it much. I tried shaking it hoping it might mix, but it's no use. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 13, 2020
I usually get blemishes from sunscreen, but this one doesn't cause many issues, which is great! It's a bit disappointing that it leaves a slight white cast, but everything else about it is good. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 24, 2020
It's not too greasy, which I really like. No blemishes and it absorbs well! However, the white cast is a bit bothersome, requiring constant patting. It was uncomfortable to use in summer. The ingredients seem to separate, coming out watery and feeling disjointed. I'd recommend using it only in spring, fall, and winter. Even for combination skin, it feels slightly oily.
