  I noticed some excess oil on my nose in the evening, but after thoroughly massaging this in, it disappeared! Using it daily or every other day could really help manage oily skin (though it won't eliminate it completely, of course). I don't use a separate eye makeup remover, and this cleansing oil removes makeup more easily than others I've tried. Even when I rub it close to my eyes, there's no stinging or discomfort. Usually, after double cleansing with an alkaline foam cleanser, my skin surface feels dry. But with this, there's no dryness at all. It's exactly as described in the product details. I'm really impressed! The container's opening mechanism and the included spatula are fantastic additions.

It becomes oil-like but doesn't run, making it super convenient to use! - Cleansing effectiveness: After removing eye and lip makeup with a separate remover, this balm effectively cleaned off the rest of my makeup (I believe it could even handle light eye makeup like eyeliner and eyeshadow without mascara).   I was amazed at how incredibly gentle the texture is! I was genuinely surprised when I started rolling it on my face. It's so pleasant to use without any irritation! The cleansing effectiveness is great - it removes face makeup well. For point makeup, as per the instructions, if you dampen it slightly with water and emulsify it, it removes eyeliner effectively! Waterproof mascara leaves a bit behind, though. Above all, after finishing cleansing, I usually feel an immediate tightness and stretching sensation, but with this product, my skin feels soft and hydrated with no skin tightness at all! I've avoided other cleansing balms because they can cause blemishes if not used correctly, but this one rinses off well with water and doesn't cause any blemishes. I think even those with super sensitive skin would be able to use it well.

  Cons

  I didn't see significant effects for pore management... It feels like it only partially removes sebum. No matter how diligently I rolled it, even after steaming, there wasn't a noticeable sebum removal. Still, I'll keep using it consistently!

  Tip

  Removing makeup after steaming or right after exercise when pores are open can help somewhat with sebum removal.

  When you open the lid, there's a spatula included! Removing the plastic seal reveals the charcoal cleansing balm's black color. It's fragrance-free, and when you massage it with your hands, it has a clay-like texture. It starts as a solid but gradually becomes smooth as you cleanse. It effectively removes blackheads and whiteheads, and after rinsing with water, your skin feels fresh and hydrated!

  I can't think of any downsides. This experience made me realize that cleansing balms are far superior to cleansing oils!

  Texture: Like other cleansing balms, it has a very soft consistency. It's easy to scoop with a spatula or your fingers. The texture is incredibly smooth. Scent: Personally, I love that it reminds me of acacia gum. It has a lovely floral fragrance. I was a bit worried about the scent since it's a charcoal cleansing balm, but I'm satisfied with its subtle floral aroma! Cleansing effectiveness: As expected from a cleansing balm, it removes makeup really well. It even takes off mascara on full-makeup days! I usually apply a lot of sunscreen, and this balm removes it effortlessly. I'm very pleased! For sebum and pores, I focus on those areas with extra massaging and emulsification. It seems to manage sebum as well as my previous Banila Co cleansing balm. Hydration: I don't prefer products that leave my skin feeling tight after cleansing. This product leaves my skin feeling less tight and dry after use! Especially now when it's so dry that my lips are cracking, I think this would suit combination dehydrated skin types like mine well! It's great that I can go straight to applying emulsion after cleansing without any dryness.

  Cons

  There are some ingredients to be cautious about. Those with super sensitive skin should definitely do a patch test. While I personally like the scent, some people might not enjoy it. The price is a bit high and the amount is small. Since cleansing balms are used daily, it would be better if there was a larger size available.

  Everyone knows that for a more thorough cleanse, you should massage for 1-2 minutes and then emulsify, right?

  It's a jar-type cleansing balm, and the entire contents are pitch black. I was curious about how it would look on my face, but as I applied it, it emulsified into a dark gray color. I've used products before that were hard to remove because they didn't emulsify well, but this one melts smoothly on the face and rinses off easily with water. Perhaps because of the charcoal, it feels like it washes off cleanly without any residue! I liked how it removed makeup without feeling slippery, leaving my skin feeling smooth.   The texture felt unique. It's not so much that it melts, but rather it softly dissolves? That's the sensation I had. The color might contribute to this impression. Thanks to this, it removed makeup gently without irritation when massaged onto the face, and when water touched it, it turned milky white and rinsed off well. When scooping it with the spatula, the texture seemed firm, but once I put it on my hand and warmed it up, it became incredibly soft and removed makeup effectively. The included spatula is a great size and very convenient to use.

  I used it for 6 out of 8 days. On two days, I only used sunscreen, so I didn't need the cleansing balm. The texture was surprisingly silky, and even a small amount was effective for cleansing. Without using a separate eye or lip makeup remover, I first melted my face makeup with the charcoal cleanser, then rolled it around. It removed everything well. I had some blemishes on the bridge of my nose, but they cleared up without leaving any marks. I think it would be good for people with dry skin too, as it's richer than expected.

  Cons

  The spatula that attaches to the lid is round-shaped instead of having a concave spoon shape. You have to attach it backwards for it to stay in place. Otherwise, mine kept falling off. It wasn't as effective as I'd hoped for removing dead skin cells and sebum around the nose area.
