However, it has an incredibly creamy texture that melts effortlessly with just the warmth of your hands. It becomes oil-like but doesn't run, making it super convenient to use! - Cleansing effectiveness: After removing eye and lip makeup with a separate remover, this balm effectively cleaned off the rest of my makeup (I believe it could even handle light eye makeup like eyeliner and eyeshadow without mascara). Fascinatingly, the more I massaged, the more I felt it drawing out sebum! - Irritation: Unlike some harsh pore-clearing products with strong chemical scents, this balm effectively removes sebum and blackheads without any skin irritation.
ConsThe ingredients list is slightly disappointing, but since it doesn't cause any blemishes or issues, it's not a major concern.
TipFor best results, I recommend massaging for over 10 minutes, then rinsing off residue with a cleansing sponge.

At first, I was skeptical about how this thick, shoe polish-like texture would roll on the skin. But when you scoop a small amount with the spatula and massage it onto your face, it rolls surprisingly smoothly. The feeling is quite different from cleansing oils, focusing more on sebum removal and thorough cleansing. ✔️Excellent cleansing power for removing sebum! Is it due to the charcoal's properties? After rolling, emulsifying, rolling again, and rinsing with water, your face feels deeply cleansed. Unlike some cleansing oils that can feel heavy if you choose the wrong texture, this product leaves you feeling refreshed without any lingering heaviness. ✔️Overall verdict! Regardless of The Hwahae Testers' selection, I'm willing to purchase this with my own money and continue using it. It feels like I've finally found a first-step cleanser with a truly satisfying formula.
ConsIt's hard to find any downsides, as I'm so satisfied with how it performs. If I had one small wish, it would be for a larger size option. When using the spatula, it seems like the product might run out faster than expected, considering the total amount in the container.
TipFor areas with concentrated blackheads or sebum like the T-zone or sides of the nose, focus on massaging those spots thoroughly. Then, add a bit of water and roll it as you would when emulsifying a cleansing oil. This technique definitely boosts the sebum removal effectiveness!

The Heida cleansing balm cleanses just as gently and effectively as B***. What I loved most was the innovative lid design with a spatula holder - such a brilliant idea! The sleek packaging is also a big plus. It doesn't sting at all if it gets in your eyes and works well for sensitive skin. True to its 'moisturizing' name, there's minimal deep dryness after cleansing.
ConsWhile charcoal is said to be good for absorbing excess oil, I'm not so sure about its effectiveness on whiteheads and blackheads...
TipMake sure to emulsify thoroughly!

It's easy to scoop with a spatula or your fingers. The texture is incredibly smooth. Scent: Personally, I love that it reminds me of acacia gum. It has a lovely floral fragrance. I was a bit worried about the scent since it's a charcoal cleansing balm, but I'm satisfied with its subtle floral aroma! Cleansing effectiveness: As expected from a cleansing balm, it removes makeup really well. It even takes off mascara on full-makeup days! I usually apply a lot of sunscreen, and this balm removes it effortlessly. I'm very pleased! For sebum and pores, I focus on those areas with extra massaging and emulsification. It seems to manage sebum as well as my previous Banila Co cleansing balm. Hydration: I don't prefer products that leave my skin feeling tight after cleansing. This product leaves my skin feeling less tight and dry after use! Especially now when it's so dry that my lips are cracking, I think this would suit combination dehydrated skin types like mine well! It's great that I can go straight to applying emulsion after cleansing without any dryness.
ConsThere are some ingredients to be cautious about. Those with super sensitive skin should definitely do a patch test. While I personally like the scent, some people might not enjoy it. The price is a bit high and the amount is small. Since cleansing balms are used daily, it would be better if there was a larger size available.
TipEveryone knows that for a more thorough cleanse, you should massage for 1-2 minutes and then emulsify, right?

The texture is thicker than cream cheese. You need to use the included spoon to scoop it out generously. I was skeptical about how it would melt, but surprisingly, it dissolves effortlessly when massaged onto the face. 2. The cleansing effectiveness is excellent. 3. Despite its rich consistency, I was worried it might not rinse off completely. However, it washes away easily with lukewarm water, leaving just the right amount of moisture on the skin.
ConsIt would be nice if the included spoon stayed attached to the lid better. Other than that, I have no complaints!

I usually use cleansing oil to dissolve makeup and sebum, but this balm-type cleanser was my first. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations initially. I didn't use it right away after receiving it, but one night after drinking when I couldn't remove my makeup before bed, I tried it for the first time and loved it so much that I've been using it ever since. It's great for clearing out sebum and makeup residue from pores, especially on the nose where blackheads tend to form. After rolling it on and emulsifying, I noticed my nose became visibly smoother. I'm very satisfied with it. Although it's thick, it melts well on the skin due to body heat, emulsifies easily, and leaves my skin feeling moisturized after rinsing.
ConsThere's not much I dislike about this product. I love that it comes with a hygienic spatula and doesn't cause blemishes even on my sensitive skin. If anything, I suppose it might run out quickly because I use it so often.
TipI use this frequently not just for makeup removal but also for regular cleansing. Since I have oily skin, sometimes after my first cleanse, I'll check my skin condition and do a second round with the balm, massaging it in and emulsifying twice. This helps thoroughly remove any remaining sebum. However, because this can be quite stimulating for the skin, I always follow up with a soothing face mask.

It's not so much that it melts, but rather it softly dissolves? That's the sensation I had. The color might contribute to this impression. Thanks to this, it removed makeup gently without irritation when massaged onto the face, and when water touched it, it turned milky white and rinsed off well. When scooping it with the spatula, the texture seemed firm, but once I put it on my hand and warmed it up, it became incredibly soft and removed makeup effectively. The included spatula is a great size and very convenient to use.
ConsThe scent of the product is a matter of personal preference, but for me, it was just okay.

My skin is dry, dehydrated, slightly sensitive, and prone to blemishes depending on its condition. I use this product intensively every other evening. 1. Texture: Though it's called a cleansing balm, it's not a solid type but more of a thick cream consistency. It comes with a spatula for easy scooping. 2. Application: When scooping, there's a slight gritty feeling, but it's not a scrub. It might be due to the charcoal ingredient, but there are no noticeable particles. It applies incredibly smoothly, almost like a massage cream. Although the product itself is dark due to the charcoal, it lightens as you massage it in. 3. Cleansing effectiveness: I have dry-leaning skin and usually wear light makeup. I used this every other day, and on the days I used it, there was barely anything on the cotton pad when using an exfoliating toner afterwards. The difference in cleansing power compared to regular foam cleanser days was noticeable. However, I'm not sure about its effectiveness on blackheads and sebaceous filaments. My husband, who has very oily skin, tried it too. He particularly liked how it seemed to dissolve excess oil in his T-zone. 4. Post-cleanse feel: I'm used to the smoothness after cleansing due to my regular mild acidic foam cleanser. This product leaves my skin feeling even more nourished, like I've used a massage cream. My husband, who prefers a squeaky-clean feel, found the smoothness too much and did an additional cleanse. 5. Ingredients: There are two caution ingredients, but I didn't experience any irritation. Personally, I find it quite gentle. It's nearly fragrance-free.
ConsThe packaging. Having to scoop it out is less convenient compared to a pump type. The texture makes it easy to use too much. It comes with a spatula inside the container, but it's unclear whether to remove the clear cover or just leave it on top.
TipRather than daily use, this product might be more effective for removing heavy makeup. The longer you massage it in, the better the hydrating effect compared to washing it off immediately.

I'm so happy it even removes Etude House mascara in one go. Hydration: I was worried my face might feel tight after cleansing, but it leaves my skin super soft and incredibly moisturized. Even those with dry skin can use it without worry! Texture: It has a slightly firm texture, but it melts quickly with body heat, making it easy to cleanse. I was concerned it might be too hard for rolling, but this one works perfectly. Overall experience: After use, it seems to remove dead skin cells and sebum, leaving my skin brighter and more refined. The included spatula makes it convenient to use!
ConsI wish it came in a larger size! I think I'll use it up faster than expected.

It feels firm when scooping with the spatula, but glides on smoothly when applied to the face. Sensitivity: I have sensitive skin, but this product causes absolutely no irritation. There's no tightness after washing, and the gentle texture allows for a soft, pleasant cleansing experience. Cleansing power: It effectively removes my usual makeup routine of sunscreen, foundation, eyebrow products, mascara, lip color, and eyeshadow. Overall: This is my first time trying a cleansing balm, and I can't believe I haven't used one before. Highly recommended! If cleansing oils or milks don't work for you, give this balm type a try.
ConsThere are truly no downsides. Perhaps a larger size would be nice? Anyway, it's great.
