  I was extremely satisfied with the texture that melts into a gentle oil upon contact with skin temperature. It was perfect for dissolving makeup without irritation. Even waterproof makeup came off cleanly, and my skin didn't feel tight or have any residue after cleansing.

  I noticed some excess oil on my nose in the evening, but after thoroughly massaging this in, it disappeared! Using it daily or every other day could really help manage oily skin (though it won't eliminate it completely, of course). I don't use a separate eye makeup remover, and this cleansing oil removes makeup more easily than others I've tried. Even when I rub it close to my eyes, there's no stinging or discomfort. Usually, after double cleansing with an alkaline foam cleanser, my skin surface feels dry. But with this, there's no dryness at all. It's exactly as described in the product details. I'm really impressed! The container's opening mechanism and the included spatula are fantastic additions.

  As soon as I opened the product, I found a black balm that truly lived up to its charcoal name. Perhaps due to its dark color, it clearly shows the sebum being extracted while rolling it on your face, more visibly than other products. It's not drying, so it's suitable for daily use.

  Cons

  There weren't any major disappointments, but the scent wasn't quite to my liking.

  1. Honestly, I was worried the dark color might make it look like blackheads stuck in my pores, but that concern was unnecessary! 2. There was noticeably less skin tightness after use. 3. It removes makeup effectively! 4. I loved how creamy and smooth it felt when applying! 5. I usually hate twist-off caps, but this one opens with a satisfying 'pop' which I really like!

  1. However, as someone who prefers a squeaky-clean feel, I wasn't fully satisfied with just this and ended up double cleansing... 2. The amount is a bit small. It seems like it might not last long if used generously... Apart from these points, everything else was great!

  ✔️Texture: It scoops out creamy and applies much more smoothly than other cleansing balms, gliding on effortlessly. ✔️Cleansing effectiveness: It removes eyeliner and lipstick well. The emulsification process didn't cause any eye irritation. It feels so thorough that a second cleanse seems unnecessary. Despite being a cleansing balm, it doesn't leave a slippery residue - just a refreshed feeling. ✔️I love how it leaves my skin feeling moisturized without any deep dryness or tightness.

  I haven't found any downsides yet, but it would be great if they offered a larger size for more generous use.

  Pros

  I was amazed at how incredibly gentle the texture is! I was genuinely surprised when I started rolling it on my face. It's so pleasant to use without any irritation! The cleansing effectiveness is great - it removes face makeup well. For point makeup, as per the instructions, if you dampen it slightly with water and emulsify it, it removes eyeliner effectively! Waterproof mascara leaves a bit behind, though. Above all, after finishing cleansing, I usually feel an immediate tightness and stretching sensation, but with this product, my skin feels soft and hydrated with no skin tightness at all! I've avoided other cleansing balms because they can cause blemishes if not used correctly, but this one rinses off well with water and doesn't cause any blemishes. I think even those with super sensitive skin would be able to use it well.

  Cons

  I didn't see significant effects for pore management... It feels like it only partially removes sebum. No matter how diligently I rolled it, even after steaming, there wasn't a noticeable sebum removal. Still, I'll keep using it consistently!

  Tip

  Removing makeup after steaming or right after exercise when pores are open can help somewhat with sebum removal.

  Since the product is black, it's difficult to visually confirm if it's effectively removing sebum. While there is a protective cap, it's slightly inconvenient to have to separate the lid and then remove or attach the cap every time.

  I have oily/combination, sensitive, blemish-prone skin and usually use oil-based products, but this was my first time trying a balm cleanser. It has a high charcoal content and the scent isn't too strong. At first, I struggled with the amount, but I found that a little goes a long way for the whole face. After thoroughly massaging to emulsify and rinsing with water, my skin felt moisturized without any tightness, and it even removed sebum. It worked well for me as I don't wear heavy makeup.

  Cons

  Unlike oil cleansers that you can pump and massage directly, with this balm you need to scoop it out with a spoon and apply it to your face. If you're not used to it, it can be a bit tricky to control the amount and it might get stuck between your fingers, which felt a bit inconvenient at first. I suppose it'll get easier with practice. Other than that, I didn't have any particular complaints.
