Unlike cleansing oils that leave a thin, oily film and make my eyes cloudy, this product leaves no residue at all. The way it finishes - moisturizing yet fresh and light - is truly amazing! ♥ Melts smoothly and gently Despite its balm form needing body heat to melt, I was worried it might be harsh when applied. However, it melts like butter, allowing for easy rolling without any irritation. It dissolves into an oil-like consistency, effectively removing sebum and makeup without any discomfort. ♥ Subtle aromatic scent Despite its pitch-black color suggesting a heavy charcoal or volcanic ash scent, I was pleasantly surprised by its subtle, aromatherapy-like fragrance. It's hard to describe, but it's so pleasant that it enhances my mood every time I use it! ♥ Incredible brightening effect After cleansing, my skin looks as if I've applied a blur filter - fresh and bright! It makes my skin look so youthful and radiant, doubling my happiness. ♥ Convenient spoon storage in packaging I believe a spoon is essential for balm-type products, and this one has a great design for securing the spoon. It prevents the spoon from rolling around and becoming unhygienic, which can be a real turn-off. The spoon clicks securely into the lid, making it easy to use even for someone like me who can't see well without glasses or contacts!
ConsCompared to other popular cleansing balms, it's a bit pricey for the amount you get. While using it, I can't help but think that although it's not a small amount, it's definitely on the more expensive side compared to other products...
TipIf you want to remove makeup while also getting rid of dead skin cells, clearing out pores, and enjoying a brightening effect, just use this product! With its pleasant scent, moisturizing yet light feel, excellent cleansing power, and potent brightening effects, it's a winner!

It's easy to scoop with a spatula or your fingers. The texture is incredibly smooth. Scent: Personally, I love that it reminds me of acacia gum. It has a lovely floral fragrance. I was a bit worried about the scent since it's a charcoal cleansing balm, but I'm satisfied with its subtle floral aroma! Cleansing effectiveness: As expected from a cleansing balm, it removes makeup really well. It even takes off mascara on full-makeup days! I usually apply a lot of sunscreen, and this balm removes it effortlessly. I'm very pleased! For sebum and pores, I focus on those areas with extra massaging and emulsification. It seems to manage sebum as well as my previous Banila Co cleansing balm. Hydration: I don't prefer products that leave my skin feeling tight after cleansing. This product leaves my skin feeling less tight and dry after use! Especially now when it's so dry that my lips are cracking, I think this would suit combination dehydrated skin types like mine well! It's great that I can go straight to applying emulsion after cleansing without any dryness.
ConsThere are some ingredients to be cautious about. Those with super sensitive skin should definitely do a patch test. While I personally like the scent, some people might not enjoy it. The price is a bit high and the amount is small. Since cleansing balms are used daily, it would be better if there was a larger size available.
TipEveryone knows that for a more thorough cleanse, you should massage for 1-2 minutes and then emulsify, right?

I've heard that using cleansing oil every day for a week isn't great for your skin, so I've been alternating between this cleansing balm and my usual cleanser. I think my skin texture has improved a bit! The formula is super gentle, and above all, the packaging is really convenient. It's designed for easy use, so I find myself reaching for it often. With some other cleansing balms, it can be annoying when they don't roll on well, but this product cleanses effectively, feels smooth, and I love that it's black so I can visually see where I've applied it!
ConsThe only downside is that the amount you get seems a bit small for the price. It would be great if they could offer a larger size for better value!
TipFor best results, use the spatula to apply it to your face, massage it in well, emulsify it a bit, then follow up with a foaming cleanser for a second cleanse. Your skin will feel perfectly clean!

The subtle herbal scent you experience when opening the product really lifts your mood. It feels incredibly smooth to the touch! True to its name as a moisturizing cleansing balm, it doesn't dry out your skin at all during use. Instead, the hydration lasts long after cleansing. For my combination dehydrated skin, it manages to control oil without stripping moisture, allowing for gentle, comfortable skincare. ✨✨ Above all, its biggest advantage is how it gently melts away makeup, cleansing thoroughly without irritation. I was satisfied with how well it removed even waterproof makeup! 👍 Overall impression 💝 I'm very pleased with how it maintains moisture while effectively removing makeup!
ConsOne downside is that it might feel a bit heavy for some. It's also on the pricier side, which could be burdensome for students. Additionally, even though it contains natural ingredients, those with super sensitive skin should do a patch test first, as individual allergic reactions can vary.

I'll share the pros and cons I experienced after using it for a week. It claims to remove even deep cleansing makeup, and I could see that it truly cleanses thoroughly with just the first wash! Going through the emulsification process makes the cleansing even more thorough. They said it has high moisture content, and while I didn't feel completely free from tightness after washing, it was noticeably less than with other cleansing products. There is a scent, but I can't pinpoint exactly what it is. However, it's not overpowering and subtle enough that it doesn't cause headaches. It's a non-offensive fragrance! Depending on your skin type, results may vary, but even after one use, I noticed a significant reduction in my blemishes, and my once dry cheeks felt much more hydrated.
ConsThe included spoon doesn't stay fixed to the lid very well, so it keeps falling off every time I open it. You need to press it firmly to keep it in place. The amount seems a bit small for using both morning and evening. It would be great if they came out with a larger size!
TipWhen emulsifying, focus on massaging areas with blemishes or blackheads!

After trying the Heeda Jirisan Moisturizing Charcoal Cleansing Balm, I think it's really effective at removing those pesky blemishes! The scent is nearly fragrance-free, which is great, and it's not irritating at all. I feel like consistent, long-term use will yield even better results. As a first-time cleansing balm user, I'm impressed by how well it cleanses. Most importantly, as someone with super sensitive skin, I love how gentle this product is.
ConsThe only downside is that the quantity feels a bit small compared to the price. Everything else about it is great though!
TipSince it's a cleansing balm, I'd recommend gently massaging it in circular motions when removing makeup to avoid any irritation.
