The purple tint is great for neutralizing yellow undertones, allowing for a subtle cool-toned effect. Even when reapplying, I didn't experience much pilling, and it held up well throughout the day without significant shifting or separation.
ConsHowever, it's worth noting that this product doesn't effectively cover or may even accentuate areas with similar purple tones like dark circles, or pink-toned blemishes and areas of redness. I bought it hoping to use it as a brightening moisturizer with sun protection without foundation, but it actually made my complexion look paler and less healthy compared to using just sunscreen alone. It might work better as a color-correcting base under makeup. As someone with a complexion that typically matches or is slightly darker than a 21 shade foundation, I was disappointed to find that it didn't brighten my skin tone at all. When I applied it to half my face for comparison, it only added an ashy cast, which was quite disappointing.
TipWhen choosing a sunscreen with brightening effects, it's important to consider your skin tone and specific concerns. This product may work better for those with warmer undertones looking for a subtle cool-toned effect, but might not be ideal for those seeking significant brightening or coverage of blemishes and redness.

It also absorbs well.
ConsHowever, the brightening effect is a bit too intense. I have a yellow undertone and use shade 22, but when I apply this, there's a noticeable difference with my neck. Did I perhaps apply too much?
TipThumbs up

For those with fair skin, even when applied generously, it brightens the complexion beautifully. It's perfect for those days when you can't be bothered with a full base makeup routine - just this alone does the trick!
ConsWhile it doesn't have concealer-like coverage, it's primarily a sunscreen, so I can't really complain about that!

What's more, its clear baby lavender tone naturally neutralizes both yellow and red undertones, effectively evening out the complexion. It brightens the skin beautifully, making it perfect as a primer alternative.
ConsThose with dehydrated skin might find it a bit drying. It does have a somewhat matte finish.

The absorbs well, so there's no pilling, and it spreads thinly and evenly with just my fingers, making it super easy to apply. The brightening effect was natural too! It was especially great for evening out my complexion on my neck. If it were a bit cheaper, I'd absolutely use it as a body sunscreen too!
ConsI can't think of any downsides! Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with everything about it. Espoir is amazing!

The scent is nearly fragrance-free, which should be great for those with sensitive noses. The texture applies smoothly and moisturizes without feeling sticky, absorbing quickly into the skin! It finishes with a lightweight, hydrating feel that shouldn't feel heavy even in summer. What I especially loved was the 'natural brightening effect'! Instead of leaving a white cast, it makes your skin look clearer and more vibrant, giving you confidence even with a bare face. The high SPF makes it perfect for daily use.
ConsIt finishes with a very slight powdery feel after a while, which is perfect for me! However, if you have dry skin, you might want to layer on a bit more moisturizer underneath.

The absorbs well, has great adherence, and most importantly, its brightening effect is amazing. I can skip foundation and just use this! Plus, being a mineral sunscreen, it doesn't cause any blemishes. Unlike my old cica tone-up that would develop an oily film over time, this Tone-Up Lasting stays fresh and matte, which is great for those with oily skin. It's non-sticky, doesn't pill, and applies smoothly even directly over moisturizer. Please don't discontinue this one!
ConsThe brightening effect has a strong lavender tint, so those with darker skin tones might end up looking ghostly. I'd recommend this for those with light skin tones, shade 21 or lighter!
TipThe brightening effect is quite noticeable, so make sure to blend it carefully down to your neck for a natural transition!

Unless I'm drinking outside, I don't need to touch up my makeup at all. Unlike some sunscreens that cause tiny bumps to appear immediately if applied incorrectly, this one doesn't do that. It applies smoothly like an emulsion, which I love. The finish is nice and firm, helping my base makeup adhere well.
ConsIf I had to pick something, I'd say it could be a bit more hydrating.
TipApply sunscreen, spritz on some setting spray, do your base makeup, then spritz on more setting spray. You won't need to touch up your makeup that day. Say goodbye to darkening!

I love that it's not colorless, making it great for color correcting. As someone with yellow-toned skin, I used to always do color correction before applying base makeup, but with this product, I don't need to anymore - it's so convenient! Plus, it has sun protection, which is a bonus. It doesn't settle into pores and has excellent staying power.
ConsThe downside is its lack of coverage... While that's expected from a brightening moisturizer, it might be a bit disappointing for those looking to go foundation-free. However, its advantages outweigh this drawback. Also, since it's tinted, applying too much could potentially turn you into a purple person!
TipApply a moderate amount evenly, and use it for color correcting rather than as a foundation replacement!

After application, there's no dryness or tightness. It doesn't cause any blemishes or irritate sensitive areas, so I highly recommend it if you're looking for a brightening moisturizer.
ConsIf you fail to control the amount, your face can look ghostly white, and it tends to pill slightly when applying sunscreen afterwards.
