If it feels too dry, you can mix it with a hydrating base. I really love how it brightens the complexion effectively. These days, most brightening moisturizers with SPF are hydrating, but it's often an oily kind of moisture, and the color just evens the skin tone a bit rather than acting as a true brightening base. This one, however, really works as a brightening base. Recommended for combination dehydrated skin and oily skin types. It doesn't dry down completely matte. If you apply this after your skincare routine, you'll still see a bit of that skincare glow coming through, which is nice. I thought it might settle into the creases around the nose, but surprisingly, there's no creasing at all when applied. The color only comes in purple. I wish they'd offer it in other shades like blue, green, or pink. Used mixed with S.Nature Base Prep. - 86********RecommendedJun 24, 2025
It does a great job of brightening and evening out my yellowish complexion. The brightening moisturizer really helps achieve that porcelain-like skin effect. I highly recommend this for those with a yellow undertone! When applied around the mouth area, it tends to leave a slightly white cast. So I usually avoid applying it there and focus on the rest of my face. This product works wonders for evening out skin tone and creating a radiant complexion. However, be mindful when applying it around the mouth to avoid any noticeable white residue. - je*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 22, 2025
For dry/normal skin: Rich in hydration and moisture, with a velvety powder finish that makes it highly suitable as a makeup base. For oily/combination skin: There's a slight shine, but when applied, it does look a bit heavy and greasy. The initial inner glow was nice, but as time passed, sebum became more noticeable, making the skin look oily. Using this product after a toner pad that refines skin texture and a liquid face mask helps reduce the appearance of excess sebum. - mi***********Dehydrated SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 17, 2025
The texture is delightfully thick and creamy. It's excellent to use in place of a makeup base. Rather than just slightly brightening, it gives a noticeably fair base color. It's perfect for a foundation-free look. What's great is that it doesn't cling to dead skin cells as much. On very sweaty days, it can feel a bit itchy, so applying powder is a must. Not recommended for super sensitive skin. Make sure to pat the powder on firmly. - dj*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJun 17, 2025
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I discovered this purple waterproof sunscreen while searching for one that wouldn't budge in summer! When I applied it to my face, by lunchtime my skin would get super greasy and look awful - which never happened with other sunscreens. I was torn between tossing it or keeping it, but then I thought, "Since it doesn't come off easily, why not try it on my neck?" That's when I realized its super bright color actually works wonders. If I use a different sunscreen on my face and this one on my neck, it completely eliminates that floating head effect, making everything look so natural and seamless. It's an absolutely fantastic sunscreen for neck application in the summer! First off, I have combination dehydrated skin, and when I apply this sunscreen only to my face, it mixes with my natural oils, making my skin look terribly dirty. It's just impossible for me to use on my face. The waterproof formula is no joke - it's really tough to remove. Oh, and after applying it to your neck, you absolutely must use a cleansing oil to wash it off properly! While it might not be ideal for facial use, there's no better sunscreen for neck application! Whether you're a man or a woman, your neck shouldn't be lighter than your face. By applying this sunscreen to your neck as a final step, it evens out your complexion perfectly, preventing that disconnected look. Remember to double cleanse your neck too! - oh***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 4, 2025
A long-lasting, waterproof sunscreen that stays put ESPOIR / Water Splash Sun Cream Tone-Up Lasting I was curious about ESPOIR's tone-up products since I hadn't tried them before :) They say the color is "baby lavender" As someone with a lot of redness, I often find that products with strong purple tones don't suit me well, making my skin look too white. However, this product seems less intense~ It brightens up my complexion nicely :) There's nothing particularly disappointing, but those who aren't used to tone-up products might find it a bit too brightening - je******Dry SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresMay 28, 2025
I was pleasantly surprised by how well this mineral sunscreen applies and doesn't leave my skin feeling overly dry (I always opt for mineral sunscreens). The purple tint is great for neutralizing yellow undertones, allowing for a subtle cool-toned effect. Even when reapplying, I didn't experience much pilling, and it held up well throughout the day without significant shifting or separation. However, it's worth noting that this product doesn't effectively cover or may even accentuate areas with similar purple tones like dark circles, or pink-toned blemishes and areas of redness. I bought it hoping to use it as a brightening moisturizer with sun protection without foundation, but it actually made my complexion look paler and less healthy compared to using just sunscreen alone. It might work better as a color-correcting base under makeup. As someone with a complexion that typically matches or is slightly darker than a 21 shade foundation, I was disappointed to find that it didn't brighten my skin tone at all. When I applied it to half my face for comparison, it only added an ashy cast, which was quite disappointing. When choosing a sunscreen with brightening effects, it's important to consider your skin tone and specific concerns. This product may work better for those with warmer undertones looking for a subtle cool-toned effect, but might not be ideal for those seeking significant brightening or coverage of blemishes and redness. - sk*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRednessDead Skin CellsMay 18, 2025
My skin is very sensitive. There are no good points... The sunscreen is really poorly made. The tone-up effect is good, but it all peels off... As soon as I apply it, it peels off, and even after some time, it still peels off... This phenomenon is the first time I've encountered with sunscreens these days. It's not just once, but every time I apply it, it's the worst. Save your money..😭😭 I use it as a neck application. - ak*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinMay 14, 2025
I have no particular comments, as I was not satisfied with the user experience. I usually use Espoir for my makeup, so I also tried their sunscreen. I'm not sure if it doesn't suit my skin, but it just doesn't seem to work well. It feels like it's not absorbing at all, and when I apply multiple layers, it makes my skin feel dry and flaky, as if I haven't exfoliated. Out of the products I've used recently, this is probably the worst one. Build a solid foundation and apply it thinly. However, it still feels like it's just sitting on the surface and not absorbing. I don't feel like it's protecting me from UV rays. - ys*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 11, 2025
I love how this mineral sunscreen evens out my yellowish skin tone. It also absorbs well. However, the brightening effect is a bit too intense. I have a yellow undertone and use shade 22, but when I apply this, there's a noticeable difference with my neck. Did I perhaps apply too much? Thumbs up
