It's excellent to use in place of a makeup base. Rather than just slightly brightening, it gives a noticeably fair base color. It's perfect for a foundation-free look. What's great is that it doesn't cling to dead skin cells as much.
ConsOn very sweaty days, it can feel a bit itchy, so applying powder is a must. Not recommended for super sensitive skin.
TipMake sure to pat the powder on firmly.

First off, I absolutely love that this sunscreen not only provides brightening and helps with skin tone evening, but also contains ingredients that aid in wrinkle improvement - all without any concerning ingredients. It's truly a clean formulation. The texture is slightly rich, but it absorbs well. To avoid pilling, it's best to apply small amounts and spread it evenly. This sunscreen is perfect for quick outings, which is why I find myself reaching for it often. As someone with extremely oily skin, I typically go for sunscreens that don't transfer after application. This one has a nice matte finish, making it ideal for those of us with oily complexions.
ConsIf applied carelessly, it can emphasize flakiness, especially around the jawline and sides of the nose. It's best to pay extra attention when applying to areas prone to dead skin cells.
TipMake sure to properly hydrate your skin before applying this sunscreen.

Instead, it has a slightly thick texture and dries to a semi-matte finish. - It evens skin tone nicely, which is great for my yellowish complexion. - While the coverage is sheer, it adheres well to the skin. - Considering it's winter, it doesn't feel overly matte for the season.
Cons- While it works decently for color correction and balances out yellow undertones, it might not be sufficient on its own for a foundation-free look. - Don't expect heavy coverage; think of it more as a complexion enhancer. - If not patted in thoroughly with a puff, it may slightly pill.
TipGiven its sheer coverage and good adherence, I'd recommend applying a thin layer twice rather than using a lot at once. Make sure to pat it in well with a puff to ensure it melds with your skin for the best results.

I don't usually wear much makeup, just lightly patting on some cushion foundation or skipping it altogether. So I thought a brightening moisturizer with sun protection would be great for me. Despite its name, the texture is slightly thick, similar to a regular sunscreen. While it appears purple, it has a stronger gray undertone than expected, so it didn't make my complexion look particularly radiant when applied. However, it absorbs well and, most importantly, isn't sticky at all, which I really appreciate. To summarize: *Pros: Absorbs well with a powdery finish and no stickiness. Provides moderate brightening and helps cover pores. Good ingredients and didn't cause any blemishes. *Cons: If you have deep dryness, it can look chalky if you don't apply a thorough base. The purple-gray color makes it look duller than expected.
ConsI was disappointed that it wasn't a pretty purple shade, but rather a slightly dark color with a grayish tint.
TipThe powdery finish makes it suitable for oily or combination dehydrated skin. Since the tone correction is a bit lacking, I recommend using it as a base rather than on its own, and then evening out your skin tone with a cushion foundation or liquid foundation.

Skin type) In summer, I have combination to oily skin, and now in winter, it's combination to dry with some blemishes and redness! Texture) It has a very rich and thick consistency! (It moves slightly if you shake your hand vigorously) Comparing it, I'd say it's very similar to Peripera's Filter Fit Milk Tone-Up. Application) If you apply it immediately without skincare, it feels a bit tight, and using more than 2 coats might look too light, but after a while, it adjusts to your complexion for a natural brightening effect!! Of course, the side with skincare feels more hydrated and less tight when touched. It's definitely quite dry for winter, but I think it'll work great in summer. Coverage) It definitely evens out yellowness and covers my pores well. However, it struggles a bit with redness, texture, and large pores. Longevity) With just skincare + Espoir Tone-Up Suncream, it looked almost the same after about 8-10 hours, and I didn't notice much darkening. There's a slight settling into pores though. Transfer) There's hardly any, and even if you press hard with your hand to remove it, it's barely noticeable unless you look very, very closely. Water-resistance) It absolutely didn't come off even when I sprayed my face with a shower, and the tissue I used to wipe was clean!! (It might come off if you rub really hard) Price comparison) Hince Second Skin Tone-Up Base: 28,000โฉ (35ml) Peripera Filter Fit Milk Tone-Up: 16,000โฉ (35ml) Espoir Water Splash Sun Cream Tone-Up Lasting: 22,000โฉ (50ml) Per ml, they're about 800โฉ, 457โฉ, and 440โฉ respectively, making Espoir the most affordable! Quick summary) Super water-resistant!!! Perfect for water parks or oily skin types who sweat a lot! Thumbs up for summer use! Recommended skin type) Since it's almost completely matte, it's better suited for oily skin types rather than combination or dry skin.
ConsThe lack of redness coverage and dry feel are a bit disappointing. But considering it's winter and it's a purple-toned brightening moisturizer, it's not too bad I guess?
TipHighly recommended for water activities!! It doesn't dissolve in water!! It even survives in warm water!!!
