This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! 1. It was really great for my combination dehydrated oily skin! I used to maintain my skincare routine with 5 layers of toner, aloe gel, and emulsion. But when I replaced the emulsion with this cream after the aloe gel, it felt much less rich while still providing hydration. 2. I'm impressed by the ingredients... I was surprised by how clean the ingredient list is! Because the ingredients are so good, I've been using it daily with peace of mind. It seems many people experienced the tingling sensation! I also felt a slight burning sensation and tingling when my skin was super sensitive or on days when I had extracted acne. So far, I haven't had any special side effects, so I intend to continue using it. I think it would be great for those with oily skin to use lightly during summer! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 5, 2018
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. When I first received the cream and tested it on my hand, I was immediately impressed by how it absorbs well, leaving my skin feeling hydrated without any stickiness, and finishing with a soft, matte feel. When I applied it to my face, I was pleased that it didn't cause any blemishes, especially since I have sensitive, combination skin. Unlike my previous creams that often left my skin oily, this one noticeably reduced excess oil while still providing hydration. I was amazed that it didn't cause any pilling when used as a base before makeup, allowing my foundation to apply smoothly. Although I got to try this through The Hwahae Testers program, I'm genuinely enjoying it more than I expected and will continue using it. As for downsides, I can't think of any yet, which is why I've only shared all the positives in detail. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinApr 5, 2018
I've left a review for the toner from the same line, and I'm equally satisfied with the cream. After using it for about a month, I think it would suit oily to normal skin types best. As someone with normal skin that's prone to blemishes if the oil and moisture balance is even slightly off, I found this cream to be surprisingly effective. It doesn't feel particularly special or exciting, but it really nails the oil and moisture balance. I'm using it together with the toner and it's working great for me. Hmm... I think those with dry or very dry skin might find this cream a bit lacking in hydration. I personally dislike products that are too rich, so I prefer using lighter formulas with more hydration and mixing in a drop or two of facial oil to customize it for my needs. I'm planning to mix this with some face oil during fall and winter. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 5, 2018
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I have combination dehydrated skin and my skin is somewhat sensitive. I've been using this for about two weeks, applying it every morning and evening. The feeling when applying is moisturizing with low oil content. The hydration lasts quite long. Compared to other creams, I felt that my makeup adhered better when I used this cream. One slight drawback was a tingling sensation for a short while after application. However, it didn't happen every day, and today when I applied it, I felt nothing. Still, those with super sensitive skin might want to take this into consideration. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 3, 2018
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers: Pros: 1. Gentle ingredients: It contains only very mild ingredients, so you can apply it generously without worrying about the formulation. Even with my super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any redness or blemishes at all! 2. Absorbs well: Unlike typical creams, it absorbs very quickly. There's hardly any stickiness, and even when reapplied, it absorbs immediately, which I loved. 3. Hydration: With its translucent gel-cream texture, it definitely provides a high level of moisture. 4. Spatula and mirror: They thoughtfully included a spatula for hygienic application and a cute mirror. I wish the mirror made the face appear a bit brighter though. The mirror surface is close to gray, making it difficult to properly check skin condition. 5. Great for summer or oily skin types: Despite its fresh feel, it's quite moisturizing, perfect for when rich creams feel too heavy! 6. Gives a glow: Even with its light texture, it leaves the skin with a beautiful glow!!! 7. Fragrance-free: This might be hit or miss for some. It's not completely scentless, there's a slight natural cosmetic ingredient scent when applying. Unless you're very sensitive, you'll perceive it as fragrance-free. After application, it's completely scentless. Cons: 1. Initial tingling sensation: When I first applied it, there was a slight tingling. My skin condition was normal, but it felt a bit sensitive. The tingling didn't last long though, it disappeared as the product absorbed and didn't cause any redness. After 3 days of use, even this initial tingling sensation went away. 2. Heavy container: I wish the cream jar was a bit lighter. Overall impression + Usage tips: This product might not be sufficient for those with dry skin to maintain moisture all day long. If you need to be active all day, applying this before makeup might lead to tightness in the afternoon. Instead, it's great for days when you want to minimize your skincare routine or when you need something light after using a sheet mask and don't want to apply a rich cream! I always use this cream as a finishing step after a sheet mask. It gives a fresh finish with a beautiful glow!!! It's very useful when you want to apply lots of serum or essence, cut down on oils, but still need a cream to finish off your routine. - Hwahae UserOily SkinApr 3, 2018
The Hwahae Testers Review: First off, the texture is neither too thin nor too thick, but pleasantly smooth, which made a great first impression. The scent isn't overpowering either. I used to use The Face Shop Chia Seed Moisture Cream, but this one feels even more hydrating, making it perfect for the dry weather we're having lately. Also, with some moisturizers, I worry about leaving sticky marks on my pillow, but this one is less sticky compared to others I've tried. There's not much to complain about with the cream itself. However, I do wish the spatula could be stored inside the container somehow. (Not just for this cream, but for others too... I wonder why they don't make them that way.) I don't have any special tips, but I apply a small amount before makeup and double the amount before bed. It's not too sticky, so it works well. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 3, 2018
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. First off, the best thing is how incredibly gentle the ingredients are. I always check ingredients on the Hwahae app before buying cosmetics, and I was thrilled to receive this cream with absolutely no harmful ingredients for free! What really satisfied me while using it was the non-oily yet deeply hydrating feel. I tend to apply products generously, so it didn't absorb instantly, but after patting it in thoroughly, the hydration lasted all day. Even after applying makeup, I didn't feel much dryness. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I used to struggle with dryness and cakey makeup from winter to spring, but that's not happening lately. Most importantly, after using this cream, I've noticed a significant improvement in my skin texture, and my skin feels comfortable. Once I finish my current products, I plan to repurchase the full-size version. As I mentioned earlier, I tend to use quite a lot of product, and having oily skin, it doesn't seem to absorb super quickly. When first applied, it feels a bit shiny. However, if you keep patting it in diligently, it eventually absorbs completely, leaving only a hydrated feeling. On busy mornings, the need for thorough patting can be a bit inconvenient, so I'm mentioning this as a minor drawback. You probably don't need to apply too much of this cream. Using slightly less than your usual amount of moisturizer should be enough to cover your entire face, as it's so deeply hydrating. For those with dry skin, applying small amounts in multiple layers might work well. As I have oily skin, I'm using a bit less of this cream compared to others and spreading it out! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 3, 2018
It's gentle and not heavy at all. Usually, when I use heavy creams, my skin gets super oily, but this one maintains the moisture from previous skincare steps while adding more hydration. It's moisturizing and creates a protective layer, yet feels incredibly light (it's amazing!). The texture is almost like an essence, similar to mixing a cream with a mist - it applies with a watery feel. This is truly a versatile cream you can use all year round, regardless of the season. Also, they thoughtfully include a little spoon for hygienic application. While I don't use it often, I appreciate the consideration - it's a nice touch! The product doesn't have a firm texture. Because of this, I wish it came in an emulsion or essence bottle rather than the current cream container, which isn't very hygienic or convenient. Additionally, I didn't notice at first, but as I continued using it, I experienced a burning sensation and tingling around my nose and mouth areas when applying. It didn't cause any visible reactions, but I wonder if there might be an ingredient that doesn't agree with my skin. This is a product you can use without any special expectations or thoughts. I had a bad reaction to a vitamin product, so I just used this one exclusively for a few days. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 2, 2018
* This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. 1. It's gentle. Looking at the ingredient list, there are no high-risk components. When actually using it, it feels mild on the skin without any irritation. 2. The scent is pleasant. I usually dislike the artificial fragrance typical in cosmetics and prefer unscented products, but this one has a subtle, sweet juice scent that I really enjoyed without any aversion. 3. The oil and moisture balance is good. It provides not just hydration but also the right amount of oil. It doesn't feel heavy, but gives a fresh, nourishing sensation. 4. It absorbs well and has a good texture. For a cream, it has a slightly runny consistency, but when applied to the face, it melts into the skin like it's dissolving with body heat and absorbs quickly. 1. It's oilier than expected. Although I mentioned in point 3 of the positives that the oil and moisture balance is good and feels fresh, for a 'moisturizer', and especially for a cream advertised as 'low in oil', it was quite oily. 2. It's unremarkable. Apparently, chayote is very high in water content and contains nutrients like Vitamin C, minerals, and amino acids. However, I couldn't really tell these benefits, and the product feels rather ordinary without any strong characteristics. 3. The packaging is inconvenient. I prefer tube containers that you can squeeze rather than jar containers you have to scoop from, so the packaging was a bit disappointing. It's less hygienic than a tube type. To be honest, while I was really satisfied with the overall user experience, I'm hesitant about spending my own money to buy this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 2, 2018
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers! This product really lives up to its 'hydration bomb' name. It feels incredibly moisturizing, and you can really sense the hydration boost. The absorption is average - it doesn't leave a sticky residue and finishes with a nice, hydrated feel. As someone with oily, sensitive skin, I was able to use it without any irritation, and it left my skin feeling fresh. I believe it was also fragrance-free. This seems more suitable for dry, sensitive skin rather than oily, blemish-prone skin. While it's very hydrating and non-irritating, the moisture level might feel a bit greasy for oily skin types. I didn't notice any particular effect on calming blemishes. For those with extremely dry skin, the hydration might not be quite enough! It's great for mixing with facial oils. The moisturizing formula blends well with rosehip oil, which is a plus!
