This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. When I first received the cream and tested it on my hand, I was immediately impressed by how it absorbs well, leaving my skin feeling hydrated without any stickiness, and finishing with a soft, matte feel. When I applied it to my face, I was pleased that it didn't cause any blemishes, especially since I have sensitive, combination skin. Unlike my previous creams that often left my skin oily, this one noticeably reduced excess oil while still providing hydration. I was amazed that it didn't cause any pilling when used as a base before makeup, allowing my foundation to apply smoothly. Although I got to try this through The Hwahae Testers program, I'm genuinely enjoying it more than I expected and will continue using it. As for downsides, I can't think of any yet, which is why I've only shared all the positives in detail. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 5, 2018
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I have combination dehydrated skin and my skin is somewhat sensitive. I've been using this for about two weeks, applying it every morning and evening. The feeling when applying is moisturizing with low oil content. The hydration lasts quite long. Compared to other creams, I felt that my makeup adhered better when I used this cream. One slight drawback was a tingling sensation for a short while after application. However, it didn't happen every day, and today when I applied it, I felt nothing. Still, those with super sensitive skin might want to take this into consideration. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 2, 2018
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers: As promised, it really reduced the rich feeling on my skin and felt refreshing. I have combination oily skin, and even with matte makeup, my face would quickly become shiny. But after using the Chayote moisturizer, the shininess has noticeably decreased! My previous moisturizer came in a tube, which was hygienic, but product would dry up around the opening, making it less sanitary in a way. The container for this moisturizer doesn't seem to make much difference... The Chayote cream doesn't feel rich like typical creams, it's more like a gel texture. It's a great product for those with oily skin like mine. (Though I'm not extremely oily) The disappointing part was that it stung my face quite a bit. For a product that emphasizes being gentle, I was surprised by how much it irritated my skin. The first day I used it happened to be when my skin was feeling sensitive, so I thought it might be my skin's fault. But it stung so much that I became hesitant to use it. I tend to have some redness on my cheeks, and this seemed to increase it... The skin on my cheeks and around my cheekbones gets particularly irritated. While it feels refreshing and nice otherwise, I wish they could reduce the irritation. Good for oily skin! Not recommended if you have sensitive skin and are looking for a gentle product - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 26, 2018
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers! - When I apply this before my makeup in the morning and then put on my base, my skin feels powder-fresh without any oiliness! It has just the right amount of richness for my combination dehydrated skin, which I love. - The ingredients are great, so I felt confident using it. When I actually used it, it suited my skin well without causing any blemishes. If only it didn't tingle, I'd love to slather it on generously before bed... - It stings when I apply it... I thought maybe my skin was just super sensitive, but looking at other reviews, many people mentioned the tingling sensation. It especially stings around my mouth and on areas with blemishes! - It feels like there's a slight film on my skin? But it's not as hydrating as I expected. When I finish my nighttime skincare routine with this and go to sleep, my face feels a bit dry in the morning. However, it's great for applying before makeup in the morning without feeling heavy! Since I haven't been using it for long, I'm not sure about its brightening effects yet... I think I'll need to use it more to see! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 26, 2018
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers: 1. It's fragrance-free 2. Great for oily skin types 3. Doesn't leave a greasy shine It feels like it just provides hydration and then disappears! When I apply makeup over this cream, it pills up quickly because it's gone... It stung a bit for the first couple of applications, but that sensation went away For those with combination dehydrated skin! This might be perfect for summer use! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 24, 2018
The hydration level was just right, leaving my skin feeling moisturized when applied. There was hardly any oily residue, making it perfect for lightweight use! It was gentle on my skin and didn't cause any blemishes. While it felt hydrating when applied, the dry weather caused the moisture to evaporate quickly, leading to some skin tightness. Since it's a product without much oil content, this was somewhat expected. This product seems perfect for summer use! It's high in hydration but low in oil content, so I'd recommend it for those with oily skin. For combination dehydrated or dry skin types, I'd suggest using it in summer. I've previously used Mamonde's Ceramide Light Moisture Cream and I'm currently using Acwell's moisturizer. All three have similar hydration levels, but in terms of richness, it goes Mamonde > Acwell > Chayote. I think Mamonde is suitable for winter, Acwell for spring and fall, and Chayote for summer.
