Skin type: Extremely dry. Although I have dry skin, I don't usually use skincare with oils as they don't suit me. However, this cream has a lighter texture compared to other horse oil creams. While it feels oily when applied, it doesn't feel heavy or suffocating on the skin. Despite having extremely dry skin, the absorption is terrible. It doesn't absorb well, making my face feel slippery. When touched, it keeps leaving an oily residue... I've tried other horse oil creams, but this one absorbs the least. I won't repurchase... Good ingredients should absorb well into the skin. What a disappointment. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 17, 2022
I tried horse oil for the first time, and it's a white, opaque solid oil that feels similar to coconut oil when you scoop and apply it. I tested it on my hands, face, and my driest area - my calves. It provides both hydration and richness, making my skin feel incredibly moisturized and instantly relieving any tightness. While it's great for autumn, I can imagine it being a real lifesaver in winter. It seems like the perfect match for dry skin types. As someone with combination and super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any irritation or excess oiliness, so I used it comfortably like a cream. The moisturizing effect, balancing both oil and hydration, really lives up to the horse oil hype. Honestly, among all oil-based moisturizers, this stands out as probably the highest quality natural ingredient. Being 100% pure horse oil speaks for itself. Yes, it's pricey, but I believe it's worth the investment. For me, it's definitely on my winter repurchase list. If bio-oil is about value for money, horse oil is the premium choice. I felt it was worth splurging on. While the product itself is fantastic, I docked one star due to some inconveniences. Applying this in the morning leaves a slippery, oily residue that makes it challenging to apply makeup. When used at night, be prepared for some oil transfer onto your pillowcase. Although it feels like it absorbs, the oily film seems to linger, transferring onto everything. Your hands feel slick, and even when applied to legs, it ends up on your pajamas. The absorption could be better. However, I suppose this is characteristic of natural creams. I'll compensate by using dark pajamas and towels. As mentioned, using dark pajamas and towels can help manage the transfer issue, and focusing on intensive moisturization during winter nights will likely result in super soft skin. You can really feel the power of this natural product. It works wonders on rough elbows and knees. For those struggling with extremely dry, cracking skin on their lower body in winter, where other oils or emulsions haven't helped, horse oil might be the ultimate solution. Its moisturizing power feels incredibly potent. I've used bio-oil too, but horse oil seems superior. While it's not exactly the same price point, it's definitely worth the splurge. If you find it too slippery, I recommend mixing it with other products. Blend it with your regular moisturizer, similar to how you might use jojoba oil, to improve the texture and reduce the slickness. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 17, 2022
This product is perfect for my dry and super sensitive skin, but it might be too rich for other skin types. I think it'll be amazing for me in winter rather than the current season! I'm satisfied that the gentle ingredients didn't cause any irritation to my sensitive face. It's quite thick and creates a film-like feeling when applied. While this seems to prevent moisture loss, it makes my face feel slippery, which is a bit uncomfortable. It tends to attract dust and hair. Also, it's quite pricey for such a small amount. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 16, 2022
First off, I'm thrilled that it's 100% horse oil. I've tried other horse oil creams, but they weren't pure like this one. When applied to the skin, it absorbs beautifully. True to its name, it's horse oil, but surprisingly, it doesn't feel off-putting even on my acne-prone, oily skin that's genetically blessed with excess sebum production. It's fantastic! Given my skin type, I usually avoid products that are too rich or oily, but this Toad Horse Oil Cream is an exception! It doesn't cause blemishes, feels lightweight, and provides great hydration. There's not much to complain about regarding the product itself... The only minor inconvenience is that after using it, my hands become a bit slippery, making it slightly tricky to close the container. I find that the best application method is to gently melt it between your hands and let it absorb into your skin naturally. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 16, 2022
Hydration: The moisturizing power is truly exceptional! The texture is similar to Vaseline, applying smoothly and keeping your skin hydrated until the next day! This would be perfect for those with dry skin. Fragrance: It's fragrance-free! Highly recommended for those who dislike scented products. I'm not a fan of sticky cosmetics, but despite its Vaseline-like texture, this cream doesn't feel sticky at all. It melts beautifully into the skin when applied! I was worried about potential blemishes, but fortunately, I didn't experience any breakouts! You really need to be careful with the amount you use. The first time I applied it without knowing, my face became extremely slippery and turned into an oil slick! Apply just a small amount to avoid excessive greasiness. While it's great for dry skin types, I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily skin. It doesn't absorb immediately into the skin. So when applying makeup, use an extremely small amount. I prefer to apply it before bed! When applied in moderation before sleeping, I found it absorbed well by morning. It also works great as a lip balm. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinOct 13, 2022
Hydration power As expected, the moisturizing effect is top-notch! It seems to tackle even deep dryness! Soothing properties The blemishes that were red and inflamed have disappeared! I'm truly satisfied with this aspect. Skin irritation While using this, I noticed a few cystic acne spots popping up in areas where I usually don't get them... I had to quickly calm my skin with a soothing product and extract a few of the pimples that appeared. It seems like this product might be prone to causing blemishes, which is really disappointing. Uncomfortable slippery texture I could overlook other issues, but this slippery finish... I absolutely hate it! My hair keeps sticking to my face, and it ends up getting all messy. It's a product you can only apply before going to sleep. The product description suggests frequent application throughout the day, but how can anyone apply this texture all day long? It feels like your skin can't breathe. It's not exactly a pro tip, but because I dislike the texture, I only apply it at night before bed.
