I was thrilled to win this sunscreen after searching for one that could be easily washed off with water. My elementary school child's face had tanned unevenly due to wearing a mask. The fact that it contains both zinc and titanium dioxide is reassuring. As a mineral sunscreen, it leaves a slight white cast, but it gives a nice brightening effect. The best part is how easy it is to cleanse off. It applies smoothly for a mineral sunscreen, doesn't irritate the eyes, and is gentle on the skin, making it perfect for both me and my child to use together. I don't have any complaints so far. If my child continues to use it well until we finish the bottle and it proves to be good for our skin, I plan to purchase it again. I've heard that reapplying sunscreen throughout the day, even if it has a lower SPF, is more effective than applying a high SPF sunscreen just once. The generous amount in this bottle makes it convenient for reapplication. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 16, 2021
The best part is that it's washable. Since it can be removed with water, it's great for young children who struggle with foam cleansing. I tried it myself and didn't experience any eye irritation or tingling. The absorption is also good. The white cast is quite noticeable. Right after application, it looks amusingly pale. But since it's for kids, I just accept it. The SPF is a bit on the lower side. With summer approaching and stronger UV rays coming, I think I'll need to look for a product with higher protection. Being washable means it can't be used for water activities. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 15, 2021
The texture is slightly thin and moisturizing, as expected from a sun milk. I trust it because of its good ingredients. The scent is subtle, so it's not off-putting. There's no eye irritation or skin tingling, which is great. While there's some white cast, it's manageable if you spread it well. Being washable, it's convenient as it comes off easily with a simple bath or face wash. I used to use Botanical Therapy's sun pact type, but that ran out quickly due to its smaller size. This one definitely has more product, so I think it'll last me through summer. I've been using Botanical Therapy products since my child was young, and I trust them because we've never experienced any blemishes. The scent is subtle, which is slightly disappointing as my child prefers sweeter fragrances, but the quality ingredients make up for it. It's a bit pricey for the amount you get, which is unfortunate. It's best to apply plenty of skincare products first, then the sun milk, and carry it with you to reapply throughout the day. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 15, 2021
The texture is like an emulsion, so it absorbs well. When you apply it, it starts off smooth, but as you finish, it feels like it's adhering to your skin - I guess that's when it starts working as a sunscreen! While there is some white cast, it's not too severe. The best part is that it can be washed off with just water! This was important for me since my 7-year-old still dislikes cleansers. It comes off almost completely with just water - I'd say it's not an exaggeration to claim it washes off entirely. After cleansing, there's only a slight feeling that something was on the skin, but you can consider the sunscreen mostly washed away. Oh, and unlike my previous sunscreen that would occasionally irritate my son's eyes, this Botanical Therapy Baby Washable Sun Milk hasn't caused any complaints about eye stinging so far. I haven't found any downsides yet. Maybe just that the face looks a bit whiter when reapplying during outings? - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinApr 14, 2021
First off, I'm pleased that it's free from fragrances and irritating ingredients since it's for the kids. I tested it on my face before letting the children use it, and I'm happy to report no blemishes, no tingling, and no eye irritation. The texture is like an emulsion, making it easy to apply. I also appreciate that it's washable and can be removed with just water. Though water alone works, I feel more reassured using a gentle foam cleanser for thorough cleansing. It's a bit disappointing that the SPF is somewhat low. There's also some white cast, so you need to massage it in for better absorption. I'm concerned that it might be challenging for kids to reapply it themselves while playing. Being washable, it tends to leave white streaks on the neck when the children sweat while playing. On makeup-free days, even I use it. It's great for the whole family to use comfortably in spring. The white cast isn't too bad if you take the time to massage it in for absorption. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinApr 14, 2021
My kids used to cry and fuss when applying sunscreen and washing it off, but they love the Botanical Baby Sun Milk because it's so easy to remove with just water. Being a mineral sunscreen, it's great that we don't need to apply it 30 minutes in advance - we can put it on right before going out and get immediate protection. The absorption is pretty good too. I also like that it's fragrance-free and non-irritating. It's a relief that it doesn't sting their eyes - sometimes when sunscreen gets in their eyes, they cry and resist putting it on, but after using this for a few days, the kids are really enjoying it. Even though there's some white cast, the mineral ingredients are so gentle that I feel I can trust using it. It's perfect for daily use without any worries. I'll definitely keep using it consistently! This sun milk is perfect for applying right now, but I worry it might wash off easily in the peak of summer when we sweat a lot. While the ingredients are good, it's not exactly cheap for the amount you get. The absorption is pretty good, but since it's a mineral sunscreen, there is some white cast. I found that mixing it with a bit of emulsion makes it blend much more naturally and smoothly. You don't need to apply as much as other sunscreens - it spreads well with less product. After applying, if you gently pat it in, the white cast becomes much less noticeable. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 13, 2021
I tried this product first before using it on my child, and there was no eye irritation! The scent is not harsh either. I've been applying it to my 12-month-old baby since I heard even infants need sun protection. It spreads smoothly and feels moisturizing on my baby's dry skin, which is great! Since we can't use strong cleansing products, it's reassuring and convenient that it can be washed off with just water, without needing a separate cleanser. We don't go out often, so I haven't found any significant drawbacks yet. Since it's a baby product with a lower SPF, I'm reapplying it frequently! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 12, 2021
Since my child was born, I've been using Botanical Therapy for their body care, so I was really eager to try this product as part of the Hwahae Testers. My child's skin is sensitive, and they often get blemishes if we use sunscreen or sun sticks that don't suit them, or if cleansing isn't thorough enough - even after just one use. First off, this product is fragrance-free and has a smooth, emulsion-like texture that absorbs well. There's hardly any white cast, and it doesn't irritate the eyes. When I use it with a foaming cleanser for the first cleanse, it seems to wash off easily. Both my child and I are satisfied! There's not really anything to complain about. If I had to nitpick, I suppose it would have been even better if it was SPF50. A small amount is sufficient to cover my child's face. I applied it all over, then added an extra layer around the eyes and neck area. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 12, 2021
The texture is light like an emulsion and absorbs beautifully. I tend to apply it generously, and it doesn't leave my skin greasy but absorbs well. There's no eye irritation, and what I love most is how easily it washes off. When applied heavily, there's a slight white cast that has a grayish tinge to it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 9, 2021
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers! 1. First off, it's fantastic that there's no eye irritation. I'm usually very cautious when choosing sunscreens because I'm prone to eye irritation. As expected from a baby product, the gentle ingredients seem to prevent any eye discomfort. Even though it's marketed as mild, I've always been scared to apply sun products around my eyes, but with this one, I can apply it all around the eye area! My 7-year-old daughter also reports no eye irritation at all. 2. The absorption is excellent. It has a thin emulsion-like texture that applies lightly and smoothly. Some products labeled as sun emulsions or sun serums can feel thick or sticky when applied, but this one spreads easily with a fluid emulsion feel, without any heaviness. 3. Definitely water-washable! This is a crucial factor when choosing sun products for babies and kids. No matter how gentle the ingredients are, if a sun product is hard to cleanse off, you're less likely to apply it daily on children. Adults might do a thorough double cleanse with cleansing oil and foam, but with kids, you worry about foam getting in their eyes, so it's usually a quick rinse. The biggest advantage of this product is that it washes off incredibly well with just water. Rubbing with water alone removes it cleanly without any residue. Of course, using soap would be even more thorough, right? 4. Moderate white cast. Some might see this as a drawback, but for me, it's a plus. I usually share sunscreen with my child, so it works perfectly as a slight tone-up before makeup. My child even says it makes her look pretty and white, making her want to apply more! While it's one of the most satisfying sun products I've tried recently, if I had to point out one flaw... There's a slight stickiness. It spreads so well when applying, but during the drying process, the texture changes to become a bit sticky. However, it doesn't pill or cake up when applying makeup over it.
