It's very gentle on my skin, removes makeup effectively, and has a pleasant scent! There wasn't really anything disappointing about it, except maybe a slight white cast..? - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMay 19, 2021
It works well as a first cleanse, effectively removing makeup. There's hardly any scent, suggesting it's fragrance-free. It seems to be gentle on the skin with minimal irritation. It leaves a significant white cast. The watery consistency makes it apply unevenly, resulting in a patchy appearance on the face. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 19, 2021
* True to its name 'sun milk', the texture is pleasantly lightweight, which I really appreciate. It applies smoothly and evenly. * The ingredients are relatively gentle, making it suitable for use with children. I'm currently using it with my little one. * The best feature is that it can be removed with just water. This is perfect for babies who aren't ready for foam cleansing yet. * The scent is nearly fragrance-free, which is a plus. * The only downside is the white cast it leaves. I had to carefully pat it in while looking in the mirror right after application to blend it well. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 18, 2021
Gentle ingredients and washable formula make this a must-have for babies not yet using cleansers The application isn't smooth, and its mild nature means frequent reapplication is necessary - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 16, 2021
This gentle non-nano mineral sunscreen is said to be suitable for everyone from children under 36 months with weak skin barriers to sensitive adults. I was initially worried about some ingredients that might irritate sensitive skin, but my daughter with extremely dry, sensitive skin in 3rd grade used it without any blemishes, so it's a product we can use with peace of mind. When you first start applying it, there's a slight rich feeling and a white cast, but once you pat it in to absorb, it feels light and fresh on the skin. As the weather gets warmer, kids might dislike sunscreens that are too sticky or oily, so I think this absorbs just right. My daughter likes that it's unscented, so she doesn't smell sunscreen when wearing a mask. Her previous sunscreen had a scent that gave her headaches when masked. While most sunscreens require special removers and cleansers, this Botanical Therapy sunscreen washes off easily with water, which is super convenient. My child has very sensitive skin, so I still use a foam cleanser just in case, but for normal skin types, water should be enough to remove it completely. Since it's washable, active kids might find it comes off easily with sweat and oil, so for effective sun protection, you may need to reapply frequently. (I mainly use this product on school days. These days, due to COVID, outdoor activities are limited, so mostly sitting in the classroom, I apply it in the morning, and when she comes home after school, the sunscreen is still there, so I think the sun protection is sufficient.) As someone with sensitive dry skin, I found it worked well with foundation too. When I applied the recommended amount of sunscreen, I worried I'd messed up because it looked too white and considered washing it off. But after spreading it evenly, patting it in, and drying my hair for about 5 minutes, it beautifully brightened my complexion by one shade. I could apply foundation directly without a separate base, which was convenient. It didn't cause pilling either. (My skin gets so dry that even moisturizing foundations crack after 2 hours, so I used O Hui First Skin - O Hui First Ampoule - O Hui First Emulsion - Cream - Sunscreen - Foundation in that order.) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2021
I have very sensitive combination skin that leans towards oily. After giving birth, my skin became even more sensitive, so I always compare and analyze ingredients on Hwahae before buying cosmetics! I decided to try this product because it's said to be gentle enough for babies. I hope my review is helpful! Pros: 1. Gentle ingredients ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It's truly gentle. I didn't experience any blemishes at all. 2. No residue after cleansing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Usually, when I wear sunscreen, it takes a long time to cleanse, and if not done properly, residue remains. With this product, a foam cleanser alone was enough to cleanse thoroughly. 3. User-friendly packaging ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I find this type of packaging convenient to use! It doesn't leak and works well. Cons: 1. Slippery feeling As I have combination skin that leans towards oily, I prefer a fresh and slightly matte texture when applied. However, this sunmilk felt quite rich. I took a photo 30 minutes after application, and there was a noticeable shine as if I had applied a dewy foundation. 2. More whitening effect than expected The sunscreen made my skin look whiter than I anticipated. If you prefer a natural brightening effect, it might not be bad, but for me, I don't really need the tone-up effect, so that was a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 16, 2021
As a winner of The Hwahae Testers program, I'm sharing my review after 2 weeks of use! (For context, I'm pregnant with sensitive combination skin, and I used this product along with my 3-year-old child.) 📌Gentle This is the most important aspect for me when using cosmetics. My sensitive skin tends to break out the next day if I don't remove makeup properly. Lately, I've been experiencing blemishes from wearing makeup under a mask, but during the time I used this product, I didn't have a single breakout! It feels much gentler than other sun protection products. As a pregnant woman, I've become more particular about product choices, and this one's gentleness makes me consider sticking with it for the long term. 📌Convenient design Unlike most sun protection products I've used before, which have flat tops and are stored upside down, this one can be placed upright with the cap open while in use. This design feature is really convenient. 📌Easy to apply, even for children (Milk type) It's a milk-type formula that's neither too thick nor too oily. Not only is it easy for me to apply, but my child can use it without any fuss - which is great! 📌Slight brightening effect As I rarely wear makeup these days due to mask-wearing and sensitive skin, the brightening effect of this product is perfect for giving my face a natural glow. It's ideal for someone like me who doesn't wear makeup often. 📌Washable!! This is a must when it comes to products for children. My 3-year-old absolutely hates having foam on their face and can only wash with water. So having a washable sunscreen that can be easily removed is a huge plus! 📌SPF30 While I'd love for our whole family to settle on this product for the summer, SPF30 seems a bit low for the peak of summer. I'm hoping they'll release a new version with SPF50! 📌Small amount for the price I want the whole family to use this, but the amount is quite small... Moreover, it's quite expensive for the quantity provided. I wish they'd offer a larger size at a more affordable price! - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 16, 2021
What I loved most is how gentle the ingredients are. No matter how well a product applies or performs, if the ingredients aren't good, I'd be hesitant to use it. But with this, there's no such worry. It's great that I can use it with my child too. It feels more hydrating than regular sunscreens when applied, without being irritating. It's as moisturizing as a regular emulsion, which is helpful these days when we need to wear masks. Being a milk type, it's smooth and absorbs well. There's no white cast at all, and I checked for stickiness after use - there was none. I'm satisfied with how quickly it absorbs and how long-lasting it seems to be. Sunscreen usually concerns me when it's time to cleanse, but this product washes off easily with water, which is a big advantage for children. Adults can use cleansers multiple times, but for kids with delicate skin, cleansing can be troublesome. This Baby Washable Sun Milk addresses that drawback nicely. There doesn't seem to be anything particularly disappointing. It's a gentle product that's comfortable for daily use. When wearing a mask, the area around my cheeks tends to get dry and tight, but this sunscreen has more hydration than other sunscreens and gives a slight brightening effect. It would work well with BB creams or brightening moisturizers you're already using. Since it washes off easily with water after use, I'd recommend it to those looking for a product that's easy to remove. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2021
The best thing about this product is that it washes off easily with water. As a parent, it's a hassle to make kids cleanse multiple times, but with this, there's no worry about residue - it's fantastic! I love that it's gentle, so I can use it with peace of mind. Plus, it feels fresh, making it perfect for daily use without any burden. The price is a bit disappointing. Also, being a mineral sunscreen, the white cast is unavoidable, unfortunately. If you dislike the white cast, try applying multiple thin layers. Since the SPF is low, make sure to reapply every two hours for effective protection. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2021
My child used this product. First off, the ingredients are good and gentle. My child used it every morning, and while I'm not sure about the longevity, the white cast from the sunscreen lasted until the afternoon. It applied well without causing any blemishes or discomfort for my child. After applying emulsion, when I tried to put this on before going out, it felt extremely thick and hard to spread. Other than that, there weren't any particular issues. When I applied the sunscreen right after the emulsion, it spread smoothly and easily.
