It's washable and has great ingredients. I've only tried it on myself so far, not on the kids yet. I'll update my review if it works well for them. When applied, it feels a bit heavy due to its rich texture. There's some slight white cast (my neck looks a different color). When I put makeup on top, it breaks down quickly because of the oiliness, and my face feels quite suffocated. I recommend using this as a light sunscreen on its own. Especially avoid using it with rich moisturizers. For kids, it might be good since it's easy to wash off. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 16, 2021
Slight oiliness... The residual oil on the surface takes a while to settle. Slow absorption - but since you should apply sunscreen 30 minutes before going out anyway, it's fine after that time. I wish it came in a larger size at a good price point, maybe in a big tube or with a pump! A big, full one would be great. This sun milk is a godsend for families with kids. No need for any special tricks. Just apply emulsion for the kids, then this sunscreen before heading out. No need for extra essence or anything else! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 16, 2021
I loved how this product applies as light as water with a hydrating formula! It didn't feel sticky or sit on top of the skin, but spread thinly and evenly, leaving a fresh finish. There wasn't any excessive white cast, and the fact that it's water-removable seems to be its biggest advantage. Perhaps due to my oily skin, I felt like the oil came through a bit quickly. While being water-removable is a plus for me, I can imagine this might not be ideal for everyone! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2021
I have very sensitive combination skin that leans towards oily. After giving birth, my skin became even more sensitive, so I always compare and analyze ingredients on Hwahae before buying cosmetics! I decided to try this product because it's said to be gentle enough for babies. I hope my review is helpful! Pros: 1. Gentle ingredients ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It's truly gentle. I didn't experience any blemishes at all. 2. No residue after cleansing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Usually, when I wear sunscreen, it takes a long time to cleanse, and if not done properly, residue remains. With this product, a foam cleanser alone was enough to cleanse thoroughly. 3. User-friendly packaging ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I find this type of packaging convenient to use! It doesn't leak and works well. Cons: 1. Slippery feeling As I have combination skin that leans towards oily, I prefer a fresh and slightly matte texture when applied. However, this sunmilk felt quite rich. I took a photo 30 minutes after application, and there was a noticeable shine as if I had applied a dewy foundation. 2. More whitening effect than expected The sunscreen made my skin look whiter than I anticipated. If you prefer a natural brightening effect, it might not be bad, but for me, I don't really need the tone-up effect, so that was a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 16, 2021
Although it's a baby sun milk, I decided to try it for myself as an adult because my skin is as sensitive and delicate as a baby's. I usually don't wear sunscreen often, mainly because it's inconvenient to wash off. I typically need to double cleanse, which irritates my skin, so I tend to skip sunscreen altogether. However, this sunscreen has my preferred texture of sun milk, and I was thrilled to hear that it can be cleaned off with just foam cleanser. The main advantages are that it applies smoothly and absorbs well into the skin. (I really dislike sunscreens that leave a white cast or clump up, so I was very pleased with this!) While it's not completely invisible, the white cast is minimal, especially since I don't apply too much. When I washed it off, a single cleanse was indeed sufficient! It seems suitable for both face and body, which is great as I've always worried about removing sunscreen from my body as well. With an SPF of 30, it's perfect for someone like me who works mostly indoors rather than spending long hours outside in peak summer. For a baby sunscreen, while it's not excessively oily, it does have some oil content. As someone with oily skin, I think it would work well in other seasons, but it might be a bit challenging in the height of summer (though I'd have to try it to be sure). However, it might be perfect for children! This sunscreen is ideal for those times when you're mostly indoors and debating whether to use sunscreen or not! I'd recommend it as a sunscreen that's great for both children and adults to use together! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 14, 2021
I loved the lightweight, emulsion-type texture that felt moisturizing without any stickiness. It brightened my complexion like a brightening moisturizer, leaving my skin hydrated with a bonus glow effect. Although it claimed to be washable, I thought it would come off completely without foam cleansing. However, I noticed a slight oily residue, so I had to use a face wash for thorough removal. Since the SPF is relatively low, it might be good to reapply frequently. The lightweight, non-sticky texture makes it great for applying on kids too. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 12, 2021
I've always struggled with removing sunscreen. Even adults need to use cleansing oil after foam cleansing to avoid that leftover feeling on the skin. I tried this because it claimed to be washable, and even though it felt like it formed a white cast and sunscreen barrier when applied, I was skeptical it would come off with just water! But surprisingly, it washed off squeaky clean even with a mild cleanser! The thin emulsion texture made it super easy to apply. I was worried it might slide off due to its lightweight consistency, but once absorbed, it left a slightly tacky finish that didn't budge. This will be perfect as a daily sunscreen for both my kids and myself! I'm not an expert on ingredients, so I can't go into detail about that. However, I've noticed some products tend to make my face particularly greasy. This one did leave a bit of an oily sheen until I washed it off. Since you need to reapply sunscreen, it's a bit inconvenient to use powder over it. Also, while some products with an oily finish tend to come off easily, this one, despite the shine, had a somewhat tacky finish that kept it in place. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 12, 2021
As a sun milk product, it has an emulsion formula. The application is smooth and pleasant. It's moisturizing and gentle without irritation, so it doesn't stress the skin. Being a baby product, it's naturally fragrance-free and non-irritating, which is essential, right? It's gentle and hydrating, so I'm considering repurchasing. Being washable, it's convenient and nice that it can be removed with just water. Since it's for babies, the sun protection factor is a bit low, which is somewhat disappointing. It seems they've reduced the SPF to 30 and PA++ to minimize irritation. There's a slight shine, which might actually be appealing to those who like bright, glowing skin. Apart from these two points, I have no other complaints. Using it along with the enclosed Botanical Baby Emulsion makes it even smoother and more moisturizing. Both products are very gentle and non-irritating. Although it's for babies, it would be suitable for those with sensitive skin too. As it's a mineral sunscreen, there's a slight white cast, so it could also work well for those wanting some complexion correction. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 28, 2020
I use this sunscreen with my child. It spreads well even with a small amount. I was worried the white color might make our faces look pale, but there was no white cast. It really washes off with water! My child's skin is quite sensitive to changes in skincare products, but after using this, there were no blemishes or bumps. Also, some sunscreens make my face feel suffocated, as if it's covered in something, but this product felt just like applying a light emulsion without any discomfort. As an adult, I find that it can make my skin look a bit oily after some time. I bought the Botanical Therapy Cleansing Water to remove it. While it does wash off with water, I wanted to ensure there was absolutely no residue on my child's face. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 4, 2020
Since my daughter hasn't tried sunscreen yet, I tested it out for her. The texture is thicker than milk but thinner than cream - a nice in-between consistency. It's easy to apply! For a mineral sunscreen, there's hardly any white cast. At first, there might be a slight hint, but after blending it a few times, it's barely noticeable. As for the typical tightness associated with mineral sunscreens... while not completely absent, it's minimal compared to other mineral sunscreens I've tried (applied after my skincare routine of toner and essence). And the most intriguing part... can it be washed off with water? I applied it generously on my hand, let it sit with a slight white cast, and tried to remove it... and it really does come off! It washed away cleanly. However, to be honest, I still used a cleanser on my face as I felt more comfortable doing so. I didn't notice it much, but... inevitably, there might be some white residue when sweating in summer, since it's easily removed with water. For my daughter, who only sweats on her forehead and neck... we'll probably use this occasionally on days with extended outdoor activities. Lately, we've been staying home due to COVID, and wearing it all day indoors... it does get a bit greasy. It feels more like a surface shine rather than deep hydration.
