Unlike the typical thick texture of sunscreens, this feels more like applying a regular emulsion or moisturizer. It glides on smoothly and leaves your skin feeling hydrated without any stickiness or heaviness. Compared to many matte and white-cast-heavy sunscreens, this one applies comfortably. It has a transparent and clean application. It's as moisturizing as a hydrating cream, so you can protect your skin from the sun and keep it hydrated in one go. While matte sunscreens often require special removers or vigorous rubbing to wash off, it's amazing that this one rinses off with just water. Even with gentle cleansing, it removes completely without leaving any residue. Due to its extremely lightweight texture, you need to be careful to prevent it from running. Its minimalist design makes it easy to carry, so you can take it with you when you go out and reapply frequently. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 16, 2021
I loved how this product applies as light as water with a hydrating formula! It didn't feel sticky or sit on top of the skin, but spread thinly and evenly, leaving a fresh finish. There wasn't any excessive white cast, and the fact that it's water-removable seems to be its biggest advantage. Perhaps due to my oily skin, I felt like the oil came through a bit quickly. While being water-removable is a plus for me, I can imagine this might not be ideal for everyone! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2021
While searching for sunscreens, I won this in an event and got to try it out. It's the best sunscreen I've used so far! The biggest advantage is that it's water-soluble. The scent isn't overpowering, which I like. Above all, it's perfect for my second child who has super sensitive skin. There's no stickiness or rich feeling, so it absorbs well and leaves the skin feeling hydrated. The SPF could be a bit higher, but it's still okay since it causes less irritation. I think it would be even better if it came in a larger size. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2021
The biggest advantage is that it's a washable sunscreen that can be removed with just water. I usually use other brands, and I often had to argue with my child about using cleansing tissues after washing. Now, I can let my child wash their face independently, which is convenient. As someone with oily skin, I found it to be very hydrating, absorbs well, and feels refreshing. Scent: Fragrance-free Texture: Thin emulsion type White cast: Slight Stickiness: Initially sticky after application, becomes powdery over time Moisturizing power: Mild There's a bit of stickiness initially. When applying, there's a slight white cast, but it looks natural and I actually like it. After applying the sunscreen, allow it to absorb fully before applying makeup. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2021
The Hwahae Testers review: - The size is perfect for carrying around without any hassle. It's compact enough to fit in a pouch, which is great even though we can't travel much these days due to the pandemic. - As a milk-type sunscreen, it applies smoothly with excellent absorption. It's perfect for kids who usually run away from emulsions! My child is exactly like that. While thick sunblocks can be a struggle to apply on such children, this product glides on easily, making it simple for moms to apply and for kids to use on their own. - Even after initial absorption, you can apply a bit more without any pilling. - It's easily washed off with water, which is ideal for children. While kids do take soap baths, they don't always like face wash. For children like mine, a product that can be removed with just water is fantastic. - With summer approaching, I was worried about protecting my child's legs and feet, but this product has eased my concerns. It applies so smoothly and moisturizes well that my child is happy to put it on independently. What some might consider drawbacks, I actually found to be positives. There's a slight white cast, but I liked it. It's perfect for applying before makeup - no need for a separate brightening moisturizer. When I applied it to my child, they kept looking in the mirror, fascinated by how their face became slightly whiter, which made us late for kindergarten! It does take a bit of time to absorb. You need to pat it in patiently, and then it moisturizes the skin nicely. Here's a tip from a woman in her 30s who applies this sun milk in two thin layers: After the first application, let it dry and absorb while you're getting ready. Then, apply a second layer. This method provides excellent UV protection while keeping your skin hydrated. Plus, your foundation will go on beautifully over it! - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 16, 2021
It applies smoothly at first. Initially, it feels moisturizing, but it becomes matte over time, which I actually prefer. I love how easily it washes off with water. The white cast is too severe. This aspect definitely needs improvement. I'll have to use it on my arms and legs later to avoid wasting it. I'm writing this review as a winner of The Hwahae Testers review event. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2021
Here's my review as one of The Hwahae Testers~!!! First off, my go-to sunscreen is usually Whi* sunscreen, but I was a bit disappointed to hear that the SPF rating wasn't as advertised ㅠㅠ It had a nice emulsion-like texture and felt moisturizing. My skin type is closer to combination dehydrated. For reference, I don't get too dry in winter, but I struggle a bit with excess oil in summer^^ These days, I mainly wear a mask, so I skip makeup and just apply sunscreen. When I first got this product, I applied it generously like I usually do with sunscreen, and was surprised by the white cast. I couldn't control the amount at first, and it really made my skin look white ㅠㅠ Luckily, after that, I learned to use smaller amounts. It provided some skin correction, gave a bit of a glow, and was pretty decent overall^^ It's a baby sunscreen, so it's supposed to be safe for kids too... But since we're not doing many outdoor activities yet, I haven't tried it on my child. The best part is that it's washable, so it comes off cleanly with just a foam cleanser!!! And I liked that the ingredients are gentle^^b The downside is that the SPF is only 30, so you need to reapply often. When I reapplied frequently on my skin, it started to look a bit cakey. If I were to do a lot of outdoor activities and need to reapply sunscreen often, I probably wouldn't use this because of the white cast ㅠ Also, since it's washable, it can wash off with water. Don't apply too much like I did at first. Use small amounts. - Hwahae UserOily SkinApr 16, 2021
I used this baby sun milk for my child. My 12-year-old daughter has slightly dry and sensitive skin. She said it was easy to apply due to its milk-like texture. There's a slight white cast, but it absorbs well and feels moisturizing without being sticky. As the name suggests, it's washable, which means it can be easily removed with just water without needing a separate cleanser. She really likes that feature. Since it's a milk-type sunscreen, applying too much can make the skin look whitish, so you need to control the amount. The container isn't a soft, squeezable tube, so pressing it a bit too hard can dispense more product than needed, which can be a bit inconvenient. There aren't any special tips since it's for kids, but I was surprised when someone suggested pouring it into an empty compact container for easier application. That might make it more convenient to use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2021
The photo sequence shows application in progress, after 3 applications, after rinsing with water only, with sunscreen and concealer, applied to a child's face, and the product size. - Applies smoothly and easily - Rinses off very well with water - Contains skin-friendly ingredients - Tends to be moisturizing - Minimal white cast As a sun milk, it has excellent absorption. It doesn't feel drying after application. No pilling, which is great! Being non-nano and with gentle ingredients, I felt comfortable applying it to my child. It also suits my sensitive skin well. Despite being a mineral sunscreen, I found it to have relatively little white cast. Previously, when applying sunscreen to my child, we both struggled with cleansing using cleansing water and foam during face washing. It's great that this rinses off well with just water. Still, I use cleansing water just to be thorough. When I apply it, it feels like I'm using a brightening moisturizer, which is nice. The size is also convenient for carrying around. There are no downsides. The SPF level is sufficient, and I like that it might be less irritating. The white cast is unavoidable with mineral sunscreens. Apply in small amounts. Instead of applying all at once, I spread it in small portions and pat it in, repeating about three times. This method seems to minimize white cast and allows for more thorough application. I tried using just the sunscreen with concealer on top. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 16, 2021
After 2 weeks of use: I applied this on my extremely dry skin and my baby's normal skin. As it's a sun milk, not a sunscreen, it's quite runny. It's super hydrating, perfect for my dry skin and suitable for the baby too. It glides on smoothly and easily. It does leave a white cast, so it might not be ideal for adults who wear makeup. Unlike tone-up sunscreens, this is a true white cast, so you need to pat and spread it well for absorption. In midsummer, when sunscreen is a must... I wore only this while tending to plants on the rooftop. When I started sweating, the sunscreen really... washed off with the sweat. While its water-soluble nature is its best feature, it also means it comes off with sweat, leaving white streaks. This suggests you could probably do a first cleanse with just water. However, adults can't go around with white streaks running down their faces in the heat of summer... So it might be best to avoid it during the hottest months... :( What I considered drawbacks for myself turned out to be great features for the baby. When first applied, there's an intense white cast like a pale ghost, but once absorbed well, it just leaves the baby's face looking naturally fair :) We're currently using the famous Mond*** sunscreen, which applies thickly and requires a second cleanse with baby water cleanser. Otherwise, you can see it lingering on the face. But with the Botanical Therapy Sun Milk, you can literally see it washing off completely with just water, leaving the skin feeling soft and fresh afterwards. Using cotton pads and water cleanser on a baby... The baby runs away (27 months old :(), and I'm busy chasing and wiping. It was stressful every wash, but this sun milk has improved our quality of life. Even just soaking in the bathtub, it somehow comes off on its own. It's really perfect for children. I'm going to clear out all the other baby sunscreens and stick with the Botanical Sun Milk, honestly! If the baby cries while playing outside, it washes off with the tears... While this shows how easily it cleanses with water, it's disappointing that it comes off with tears and sweat...:( But if it washes off when the baby cries outside, I'm already in the habit of carrying sunscreen and reapplying every 3-4 hours anyway, so I just think of it as part of the routine and reapply!
